Shannon’s has cleaned my house, my father’s apartment, my boss’s house and occasionally our office for 15 years. I’ve had great dependable service. I’ve had the same team come for all that time. They know what to do by now and if I have extras, I write them a note and the extras are done. I’ve also never had anything but good experiences with Linda, who manages the place and does the scheduling. They’ve always been very cooperative about changing the schedule when I have a party coming up and need them at a different time or date. I might have to accept a different team for those special times, but I can get the work done. There have been times when they needed to reschedule due to an event for one of their children or something like that, but I completely understand that and am willing to be flexible. As I said, I happily recommended them to my boss, so I must be pretty confident in them.

The first time I used Shannon’s was about 3 weeks ago. I scheduled a 6 hour cleaning session with Gloria. Even though I definitely thought she slowed her pace to fill the six hours, I didn’t care so much because in the end, my house was clean and the price was reasonable. Satisfied with the results, I called and scheduled several 4 hour sessions over the next few weeks. Although they typically schedule their afternoon 4 hour sessions from 1 – 5, I asked Linda if it was possible to start mine at 12:30 since I had to pick up my daughter around 4:30. She readily agreed. On the date of my second session, 4:45 came and no Gloria. I called Linda and she said she’d call me back; nothing for awhile, so I called her again and she told me that she and Gloria had words, but Gloria was on her way. I wasn’t sure if Linda never told Gloria the correct time, or if Gloria was really that late. At exactly 1:00 Gloria came and she was visibly upset. She came in and started cleaning, but she was moving very slowly and seemed to get more emotional as time went by. When she finished the master bathroom, I asked her about cleaning off the sinks (which had not been done); she said she had cleaned them. I showed her that there was visible dust on them and I think she wiped it off, but I honestly didn’t stay with her to see. When she «finished» the kitchen, I asked about the counter tops, and floors, which had not been done. I could see crumbs on the counters and nothing on the counters (my keys and some mail) had been moved at all. She just became quietly mopey and defiant and I figured I would just pay her for the whole job and Linda would make it right. I was wrong. Linda didn’t do anything at all to make this right. I ended up paying full price for a late job done poorly. I knew that was the risk I took when I wrote the check, but I’d rather do the right thing and learn a tough lesson than short someone without giving them a chance to make it right. I read the other comments on here, and I would agree that Linda can be short and unprofessional. There are plenty of other options — go find a more professional group than this one.

If you want decent cleaning you will get it fro the housekeepers. If you also like rude, obnoxious completely unacceptable service from Linda, the owner and operator of this «professional» service you will defiantly get that, too. I have never been spoken to with such disrespect in my life than from this terrible and unprofessional woman. I would rather scrub my own toilet than ever have to deal with this place again.

I am almost afraid to post a great review because I don’t want my new favorite housekeeper to get booked when I need her.
Linda sets up your service with someone suited to your needs, and calls to remind you they are coming.
I am very glad to have given this service a try; «_​_​_​_​» is fast, hardworking, and pays attention to detail. I’m not giving her name because I’m selfish and I don’t want you to request her.
I am not a slob. I don’t require a weekly maid service to wash dishes, clean my toilet, or vacuum. I wanted someone to tackle the necessary but occasional jobs that I recognize but won’t do: washing baseboards, stripping and waxing the floor, polishing the legs and crossbars of the table, scrubbing doors, organizing the pantry, etc. «_​_​_​» has come three times, and exceeded my expectations. She doesn’t seem surprised by fastidious requests (‘use blue rags for this, yellow rags for that”, or «don’t use a mop bucket, start in the far corner and work your way back to the utility sink»), and she is an English speaker, so my detailed instructions don’t get jumbled in translation. She has arrived 10 minutes early two out of three times, and she works nonstop. Once she finished my task lists, she asked what else she could do. After she left, I kept noticing things she did that I didn’t even request – she quickly and quietly took care of details like de-​crumbing the toaster, dusting the blinds, and wiping the windowsills.
I’ve passed on other housekeeping services because they charge extra for things like cleaning the oven or fridge, and stick to basic services that I don’t need. Shannon’s Personnel isn’t afraid to take up any job you throw their way. The next time you have an important houseguest coming to inspect your domicile, call this service and save yourself the stress.

I have been a customer of Shannon’s cleaning service for about 13 years. They have showed up when scheduled and have done a mediocre job… I feel that being a customer, every other week, for all these years held some «clout». Linda, however… doesn’t see loyalty. she has become very nasty and could care less that I have writen them a check for all these years. I have now stopped my service and have gone with someone that appreciates my business,.

I would never use Shannon’s Maid Service again. After scheduling a move-​out cleaning with them, I called on a Friday to confirm. Even though it was during business hours, and even though they are also open on Saturday, no one ever called me back. On Sunday, the day the maids were supposed to clean, no one ever showed up. Do you have any idea how annoying it is to have to clean your house after a long weekend of moving, when you had scheduled someone else to do it? It is absolutely the last thing you want to do. Needless to say, I was furious so I called and left a message stating that I expected a call on Monday with an explanation. By noon on Monday no one had called me, so I called them. I was told they had no record of my reservation and when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told «she’s busy.» I replied, «I’ll hold.» Two seconds later the manager was on the phone. She said she probably talked to me but that I probably didn’t actually make a reservation (I did– I even gave her my address and she told me where to leave the key). She was completely unapologetic and said that if she had lost the reservation it would be the first time and that I probably didn’t make one. She kept trying to blame ME for it, as if it was my fault she screwed up! Then she said that she never called me back when I called to confirm my reservation because she had trouble with two of her employees. Again, is that my fault? She had a few hours on Friday and all day Saturday to do it, and she should have called ESPECIALLY if she couldn’t find my reservation, since she is supposedly running a business.
I chose Shannon’s maid because I wanted to support a local business instead of Merry Maids. Now I wish I had just gone with Merry Maids– at least they show up. I would never, ever use this company again, and I’d advise everyone else to stay away unless you want to get stuck doing your cleaning yourself because they didn’t show up. (And then get treated as if it was YOUR fault). Ironically, I would have been satisfied if she offered a discount on my next cleaning or a free cleaning for my trouble, but instead she was rude and now I will tell everyone I know to stay away.
