Great service! I think that’s what make or break a bar. This place has great service. Good crowd, nice playlist add to the experience!

Came here for«Geeks Who Drink» and this place was hopping! SO hopping it was super hard to find a place to sit, but we found a way to wedge ourselves in a corner near the door. We had a lot of fun and they had a decent drink special for pitchers and happy hour lasted until 10PM! The service was pretty non-existent there, however, so if you want to order something — good luck! You will have better luck getting it at the bar. Definitely a great dive bar to hang out at and they do have some fun trivia there!

The bartender makes the most tasty Bloody Mary! Miguel welcomes w/open arms and the staff is wonderful. Although it is been blistering hot,… I Love the DJ on Sunday afternoons… This favorable neighborhood haunt is just what we have been looking forward to. I too value the wine collection!

So much love for this place, and the staff is as fantastic as the drinks. Their Sunday brunch is also delicious and totally a bargain!

A solid 4 star review here. Drinks are good and bartenders are usually friendly. You seem to get served faster if you’re a male… Which is weird and different. Only problematic when you’re waiting multiple rounds with the dudes getting served and you keep getting skipped. Maybe its a «regulars» thing… Not sure. With that aside, I really love this bar and the people here. It’s chill and close to a lot of neighborhoods and is a cool place to just hang out with friends. It seems the patio allows dogs… so that’s awesome. All-in-all, I really like this joint. The pizza is pretty good too!

In my top 5 places to grab a drink in Austin. Awesome patio. Really cool atmosphere inside and out. They don’t charge an arm and a leg for any drink. Happy hour is great with $ 3 wells. They also have pizza that is free but of course they accept tips. And the pizza is actually damn good. Bartenders are always fast and friendly. I never see anyone in a bad mood here. The«regulars» are great too. This place is all around Austin and I hope it doesn’t go anywhere

Karaōke Underground + Slim behind the bar = a good time. Throw in a couple of cold beers and a pizza and you’ve got a great time.

Owner is super nice and they have a friendly staff. Pizza is legit. Karaōke and pub trivia events are always great. Now they have Nintendo tournaments. Is a little off the beaten path, but a great place to start or end the night.

This bar/lounge is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Super cool people, good music, great vibes, lots of liquor and great drinks/drink specials! You can come here for any occasion! Haven’t had the food but drinks are worth it!

My boyfriend and I always have a good, relaxing, and chill time at Nomad. They never make weak drinks, they have the best peach margaritas and sometimes we will order one of their delicious pizza’s…which is drool-worthy! The bartenders have always been talkative and friendly, as well as the people who go there for the same reasons we do– to unwind with good drinks, good music, and really cool people!

Another bar I like! The staff is mostly male, but oh well, they do a great job. They have some of my favorite things; flavored Stoli, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, Glenmorangie Scotch, and all kinds of good cider. The smokers patio has plenty of space. The stools are very comfortable compared to other bars. The bathrooms are usually clean. Keep up the good work, guys!

I’m glad I took some of these reviews with a grain of salt, otherwise we might not have decided to fall through this spot. Looking for a chill place to meet up in the area with some of my extended family we decided to check out Nomad since it seemed like a place we could grab a drink, socialize and have a good time. We were right. This place had a diverse, eclectic clientele, pretty sure all of everyone was represented in here. We were glad they had hip hop on the jukebox because after having quite a somber day, we needed something upbeat. Drinks were good, strong, and reasonably priced. Service was quick. We also had some pizzas which were pretty tasty as well. We left as they were starting up the karaōke, it was mad emo, and we’d already had enough of that for one day. Kudos on some of the best restrooms I’ve ever encountered at a hole in the wall spot. Definitely will be back.

Came here with my gal pal for a couple of cocktails-they have a great happy hour and daily specials. The staff are great, and even the owner is there on occasion to welcome you to his bar and and assist in any way he can. They have many different beers to choose from-many local, and a full liquor bar as well. This place is a great neighborhood bar-and I feel very comfortable coming here, even as a single lady. The staff even offered to walk me out to my car!

I just moved to the neighborhood and found my neighborhood watering hole. Very friendly patrons and staff that made us feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back.

Cool chill spot. I popped in for a beer and was pleasantly suprised by this bar amongst a string of a few other spots(tattoo shop, café, etc) in a strip mall. Very chill setting with outdoor patio. Patio had a tv and a great world map or globe art piece illuminated on the wall. The bartender was friendly. Interior was casual and divey but clean and inviting. With kind of a Brooklyn vibe to the place, I’d recommend this spot for a drink alone or with friends.

As a resident of Windsor Park, it’s nice to find cool bar just a quick three minute drive from my house. Nomad Bar is decently priced with a comfortable interior. There’s a world map and a few international flags, but no décor that took the theme over-the-top. Where the bar really shines is the back patio, I mean it’s HUGE! We went on a Wednesday night(half off«bubbly bottles», although I think we were the only ones drinking them) and it wasn’t too crowded at all. It was quiet enough outside to hear one another and comfortable enough to stay for a couple of hours. Definitely a good find. My roommates and i decided that Nomad is our official«Summer Bar». After reading other reviews I definitely want to order a pizza next time we’re hanging out on the patio.

I am SO glad a friend recommend this little neighborhood gem! I hesitate to say much. lol Drinks are excellent, and very nicely priced. Great liquor selections too. The jukebox plays everything! There’s a little bit of everyone here, but the patio is BOSS! Surrounded in darkness AND honeysuckle?! Great spot for a date, or intimate drinks! Drink, smoke, and chill. It’s the backyard I’ve always wanted. Will I be back, hells yes.

Great little local bar. Quiet enough to sit and talk. Definitely a dive bar but doesn’t really feel gross in here. Have outside seating area for smokers… LOTS of smokers :-) dogs are welcome on the patio. Food is being cooked out on the patio but can’t see what they are serving. Good for the off the beaten path beer without the extreme crowds.

Recently the boyfriend and I have been exploring new brunch destinations around Austin. Boyfriend read about Nomad’s brunch buffet and so we decided to give them a shot. Nomad Bar is SUPERDIVEY. Not that that’s a bad thing but it took us by surprise, especially for how expensive the brunch was. Food was fine, nothing spectacular. The omlette and waffle bar was the best part. Everything else looked like it came out of a freezer box. Decent patio area that would of been enjoyable if not for the chimney of cigarette smoke from the other patrons and insanely loud 80’s music being blasted at us intermittently. Staff was very nice. I did like the bloody mary mix they used. Cost for 2 brunches + 2 bloody mary’s = $ 40. Yowza.
