I found Dr. Mason in 2006 when I moved back into Austin. Basically he was in my neighborhood and also in my insurance network, so I figured I’d try him out. Since then I’ve never had reason to go elsewhere. He’s been doing this for many years and is very knowledgeable. I always feel like he’s giving it to me straight. He patiently explains things and does not push me into having expensive procedures done when there is time to wait and other options to explore. The staff is always friendly, courteous and professional. It is a very well-run operation.

I hate going to the dentist and my last three dentists in Austin have been disappointing. I was very impressed with the friendly staff and the high level of customer service at this office. They have been in business at this location for 38 years. Dr. McElvee was professional, honest, and thorough with his exam. The hygienist Letitia gave me one of the best teeth cleanings I’ve had in years. I highly recommend checking out their practice.

Dr. Mason was referred to me by my family when I moved to Austin and I have been a patient for 7 years. The staff are friendly, the office is clean, and Dr. Mason has an excellent bedside manner. I would definitely recommend this dental office.

It’s close to my home on the east side. Super friendly. The hygienist caught a tooth problem that my previous DDS. on-the-fancy-side-of-town had not. Also, Dr. Mason came through with some emergency treatment within hours. Their office is not fancy to look at but they have top notch equipment.
Best of all, they just installed TV monitors in the dental rooms. My tooth cleaning simply sped by as I watched HGTV.
The staff and clients are diverse, which I LOVE and is important to me as a POC.
