Dr. Gore is a very down to earth, personable Doctor with excellent bed side manners! I really really cannot say enough about my experience with him as my OBGYN back in 2003, when he delivered my 1^st son. I ended up having a C-​section because the baby’s heart rate was dropping, and the cord was wrapped around his neck. He used a drain to drain the excess fluid in my midsection and it was the best thing he could have done for me. Unfortunately we moved to San Antonio when my 2^nd son was born, and that OBGYN didn’t use a drain and my incision busted open due to all the excess fluid! Thank God we’re moving back to Austin for our 3^rd baby and can’t wait to get him back!

Dr. Gore is wonderful! (and FYI, he is an OB/​GYN).
I haven’t been to his office (yet). He was on call at St. David’s when I transferred in from a birthing center, and he ended up delivering my daughter (04 – 2008). My water had been broken for 40 hours when I got there (my contractions wouldn’t stick). Most doctors would have performed an almost immediate c-​section due to the risk of infection, but Dr. Gore gave me the opportunity to have my daughter vaginally (since I was having no signs/​symptoms of infection). I was pushing for 2 ½ hours (after 5 hours on Pitocin & an epidural), and had done pretty well, but my temperature was starting to go up (indicating infection– no baby distress though). Dr. Gore let me push through and vacuum assisted (again, avoiding a c-​section), and 30 minutes later, there was my Anna!
It wasn’t anything like what I expected (I was going for natural childbirth with midwives), but it was a wonderful experience. I was very blessed to have Dr. Gore to help make it so.
I am going to start going to him for my «girly» needs (as long as my insurance cooperates!), so I will update after I have an office appointment.
