Northchase Apartments

Hello my name is Christina, I am a current resident in Northchase Apts and have been living here for a year and a half now and I have had a good experience from the beginning of moving in and I can say I am happy and comfortable in my apt. The staff from manager Beatrice to the Maintenance are great in fixing what needs to be fixed and solving our problems if any so I would highly recommend Northchase Apts to anyone looking for an apt it is surrounded by alot of places to dine in, stores, gas stations, and doctors and dental offices it is in the center of north Austin and I would give them a five star review.

I have to say I have had the worst experience ever. I had initially called to ask about the rent prices and spoke with a woman. She was very nice and gave me the prices. I told her my situation and she said that she can hold the apartment for me as long as I put a deposit down. I agreed after all I was pretty desperate to find a place considering my lease was about to end at my other place. Upon my arrival I was greeted by one of the office staff and explained that I spoke with someone earlier over the phone they directed me to the manager (which I later found out). I spoke with her again and she says that they can hold it for 2 weeks as long as I put a deposit I asked if they take cash and she said they do without any hesitation I give her $ 200 and without thinking I left with no receipt. A couple of days later I call to see when I am able to come in to finish the process for my move in I was once again transferred to the manager (Beatriz) and was informed that she will have to call me back when my lease was ready that she had been real busy and has not had time to process it. Uhhh okay kind of odd but once again I am desperate after all I just put a deposit down. I wait a couple more days and still no call back from her I then decide to go up there funny as it is I ask her what is going on with my lease and she acts like she doesn’t know what I am talking about. I explained that I came in and gave her a deposit to hold an apartment and can you believe it she tells me we don’t take cash!!! I am scratching my head at this point obviously confused. She asked me to show a receipt. Well I couldn’t because I forgot to get one from her the last time and never thought this would happen. I almost had to laugh at the fact of this planned out scam by this person. Do NOT go here no matter how desperate you are unless you are looking to get scammed.
