went back to try the chicken burger. had it with tomatoes and onions. it was dry and bland. boring at best. I’ll stick to ordering the veggie one instead. it was moist and flavorful.

Don’t bother showing up any time before 10:00PM. They say they close at 10, but consistently shut down the drive through and lock the doors early. This has happened to me several times now. Their employees are so eager to leave that they turn away customers standing at the door before 10:00.

Let me start by saying, I love the restaurant itself(see my other P-Terry’s review) but this particular location I won’t be returning to. Which is a bummer, I’m in this area a lot. The woman taking our order was yelling and I could hear the stress in her voice. It’s hard to order with another car right next to you ordering as well. It was very difficult for us to hear the employees and for them to hear us, making it chaotic for everyone. I know the service industry is no walk in the park but every P-Terry’s I’ve been to the employees are very happy and seem to love their jobs! You can tell that is just not the case here. Everyone seemed bummed to be here and when every single employee is having a terrible day, you can only assume it is due to poor management. The layout of the drive through is just awkward and not well planned. I was constantly worried an employee was going to get run over and was also confused about where to go. Overall, just a stressful experience.

My kids & I hit P. Terry’s on our way to gymnastics in a pinch! The service was fast, and my daughter was able to eat their thin house cut potato fries without any gluten issues. My son scarfed down their plain Hamburger and said their wheat bun was really tasty! The grounds are really clean and it had a cool modern 60’s feel to the aesthetic. All in all a good place to grab a quick burger. I noticed they have veggie patties avail too!

This place can never, and I mean NEVER get our orders right. It doesn’t matter how many times you reiterate what you want/don’t want. If your looking for some disappointment, then you should def come here.

P Terry’s makes a decent burger for this price category. where they fail is the management of their drive through, especially during peak times. they close the second lane when there are 10 or 12 cars and a major intersection traffic jam-stupid move! you wait forever because they can’t get the order out quickly, or else they get the order wrong. I think once they work out these things will be the best burger in town in this category.

First time in this place and I can’t fault it. Clean, prompt service, very laid back and great décor. Burger was the best I’ve had in quite some time, fries come in a big portion so don’t overbuy. Lemonade got a big thumbs up from my 8 year old as did the chicken burger. Will definitely be back!

the rep did not take my order and pretended he did not hear me well. I shouted my lungs out but he was just playing pranks with me or was trying to impress some of his co workers …

Same good food and service as the other locations but this one doesn’t carry Maine Root sodas. Just regular coke products :(

Whenever I see P Terry’s snag a spot on someone’s ‘Best Burger’ list, I have to scratch my head. Not exactly sure what it is some people find irresistible in their burgers, but I’ve had them on a handful of occasions and never was compelled to drop what I was doing to shout its praises from the rooftop. So I’m going to say it, and you may hate it [and me] or disagree wholeheartedly, but… P Terry’s is just average. AV-ER-AGE. The french fries somehow are always just warm-ish, even when you snag a few from the bag while pulling away from the drive-thru. The burger is definitely a step above your standard fast-food burger, but sits just below Mighty Fine on my personal burger barometer. Nothing about it has ever wow-ed me and I wish someone could pinpoint exactly what I’m not appreciating. IMO the unsung hero of P Terry’s is [don’t throw anything at me] the Chicken Burger. I’ll swing through just to grab that sandwich and pair it with a salad back at the office. I always skip the lettuce since it seems to make the bun soggy pretty quickly, sub in a wheat bun, add bacon and jalapenos. It’s not too big or greasy, the chicken patty is flavorful and the veggies are fresh. Overall it’s a very satisfying alternative to the heavy cheeseburger. TL;DR = don’t waste your time with the cheeseburger, get the chicken burger instead!

In Austin, with its 36,500 people moving into town a year, a convenient location is never convenient on account of parking. I would like to say that the corner of Bee Cave and 360, a long frequented shopping center, has landed itself a easy P. Terry’s, but in good conscience, I still must consider the lunch rush inconvenient. That being said, this location offers a surprisingly good amount of parking, certainly more than the Barton Springs and Central location. In regards to the actual substance of the mini-empire that has taken root in Austin? Well, service continues to deliver, the burgers are, well, affordable and good. And the fries are pretty unbeatable for $ 1.65 a pop. Though it is pretty hard to mess up an order at P. Terry’s, thus promoting cookie-cutter production, that is the same simplicity that the man-in-charge capitalizes on in order to continue feeding Austinites in such high demand.

Coming from California I am comparing this cheeseburger combo to an In n Out cheeseburger combo. In n out is better. Burger is better. Fries are better. Ice tea is better at P Terry’s The menu here is significantly more robust so next on my list to try is the other stuff: like a chicken burger or breakfast.

Great breakfast sandwich — always cheap and fast! Wish they had some other options to go with it. Outside of that Hat Creek is so close and always a better experience.

It’s a locally owned chain restaurant with all the issues of an international one. CAFO beef, GMO everything, and a huge line in the drive thru that clogs even the traffic of people bypassing the establishment. I highly recommend supporting a different restaurant.

Food was great but from the time I started in line, placed order, then received said order was almost 30 minutes. That’s just absurd even though I know lunch is a busy time.

This is definitely my favorite P Terry’s location. I’ve ordered both dine-in and«to go», and, somehow, the burgers and fries are always better at this location. I really like the spacious interior and the friendly helpful staff. I appreciate that it’s near several of my doctors’ offices, which makes for a convenient and inexpensive place to grab lunch between appointments. The only negative is that it’s not closer to home(another P Terry’s is). I can’t take off stars for that, though.

A perfectly serviceable, reasonably priced burger. I love the teas, the secret sauce, and the speed. Burger is enough without trying too hard and the French fries are so good. I really like P Terry’s. Fast, convenient, friendly, delicious. Did I mention the jar of xtra large dog biscuits??? My pups encourage me to visit P Terry’s whenever I am in the area

So spacious and clean. Usually a short drive thru compared to other P Terry’s locations. You can even get breakfast here I was surprised at how much I like their breakfast potatoes. Burgers and fries are solid, and I can also vouch for the veggie burger and the chicken burger. Shakes are great, but I try not to indulge in those very often. Prices are reasonable, and the service is always friendly. They never skimp on the napkins or the ketchup when you drive thru, which I do at least once a week. Don’t forget the all butter oatmeal chocolate cookie at the end of your meal, pretty amazing for a fast food cookie!

How hard is it to make fresh french fries and a fresh veggie burger patty for my wife, damnit? Seriously. We have come here multiple times over the past year and the past 3 – 4 times we have had rock hard fries and my wife’s veggie burger seemed old/pre-made or as if it had sat out for hours. Funniest part about it is we contacted the manager Mary and let her know about our experience. She was kind enough to offer to replace our order free of charge. Well, just went there today and guess what? Rock hard fries and rock hard veggie burger for the last time.

This is by far by favorite P. Terry’s in town. Staff is always so friendly and place is so clean. Drive thru seems fast compared to some other locations in town. Like other locations the size of the burger is perfect. Fries are fresh and hot. I love the lemon aid. Love the dog treats as we do the drive thru. Keep up the good work. P. Terry’s!

So, I stroll into this joint after a coworker practically started my car and pointed me in it’s direction after I mentioned that I was craving a veggie burger. Here’s what I was told: P TERRY’S. GOGETONE. IT’S THEBESTVEGGIEBURGERSINCEEVER. ANDMYNONMEATEATINGFRIENDSPREFERITTOTHEMEATBURGERS. Let me tell you. I went, I saw, I ate… I left unimpressed. Now…a veggie burger for just over $ 4…pretty cool. They sautéed my onions and jalapeños…thanks much. But honestly… would I ever go back? Nah.

I love this place this seriously know how to make a great milkshake. This is like the In-N-out of Austin, but I do not know what will happen when IN-N-OUT comes to town. I love their fries they have that homemade flair and the burgers are just the right size. You don’t feel like rolling after eating them. This is a place is a must try. The price is especially favorable. I eat this when I am craving a burger but don’t want to have that fatty feeling after eating one. HA!

This place is remarkably like my first wife — all bright and shiny, everything they do is done well, and there’s nothing here that doesn’t make me go «Yum.» I think it all comes down to choices: Of the zillion burger places throughout the universe, loving one particular place isn’t wrong, but limiting oneself to that place just doesn’t seem right. I don’t care if we call P. Terry’s «good fast food» or «good food fast,» their stuff is better than the usual suspects, and they’re cheaper than whatever burger boutique is in vogue. Don’t get me wrong here, I’m all for goat patties drizzled with truffle aioli, but sometimes I just want to get in-and-out of someplace without thinking about their Michelin aspirations. I’ve done the chicken burger at both Lamar stores, I thought they were great at the time, and I imagine they’re just as good here. Although P. Terry’s is not my favorite veggie burger in town, I’ll take it. I like the fries here, some people don’t. They do get points for having Coke Zero at the fountain, and bonus points for having a straightforward soda fountain station, instead of that RoboCop«For-God’s-sake-make-a-choice-already» thing. Finally — and maybe this should have been my entire review — I think P. Terry’s makes the best chocolate shake in the business. Yes, yes, you can jazz up your shake at other places, but you don’t need to here. And to be completely honest, I actually come to this P. Terry’s a lot to pick up other people’s food while I get a small chocolate shake for myself.(Okay, sometimes I get fries to mix up with my odd rice and tofu things.) I realize posting a burger place review without first consuming four double-meat & cheese combos with jalapenos &BBQ sauce in a single sitting can get you on the Unilocal Police list, but I’ll take my chances. And maybe have one more shake.
