I love how inexpensive the burgers are for the quality you get. I usually get the cheeseburger meal and a shake or lemonade. The fries seem endless and are great for sharing although I usually don’t :P would recommend to friends and family who come to visit

Cheap and tasty! Probably some of the best priced burgers you can get, and somehow doesn’t make you feel as bad as McD’s. What more could you want?

Fresh tasting burger! My son loves his place. The shake is really good, as well as the fries. I see why it is a bit pricey because the angus burger and fresh lettuce and tomatoes!

Back here again(as usual) and still love it! I ordered food for my family and usually it takes us a while to find out who’s burger is who’s but this time it was a lot easier because they wrote numbers on the wrappers and the receipt. I don’t know about you but I thought that was nice. The staff is very nice and the food is great too. 5⁄5 très bon.

P. Terry’s is fine when you want a burger for super cheap, fairly fast and don’t want to settle for the Clown or the King. To be honest though, I don’t see what all the raving is about. Once I ordered a burger and the lettuce/tomato was so ice cold, the whole bottom of my burger was cooled against the hot patty. I’ve read other reviews of people complaining about the same thing, so I know I’m not crazy. I went again when I was in a rush to get to work — same problem. Ice cold veggies ruin an a-ok burger. Second, I do NOT like these fries. I’ve tried P. Terry’s(this location specifically) multiple times and have yet to get tasty fries. Super thin, dripping grease, just all around no good. My personally preference is Mighty Fine, but alas, no drive-thru. Due to my own laziness, that means multiple visits to P. Terry when I don’t want to drive down to MF and go in to order. However, I think I’m done with temperature deficient burgers and greasy fries.

Garbage. My girlfriend and I walked the dog there one night about an hour before close. I wait outside with the mutt, and she orders us all some food. 4 burgers(yes we ordered the dog a burger, whatever you’re weird) We then walked home ready to grub out and relax the rest of the night. Not one burger was done. Each one was pinker than the last. We call up there, but there was no answer as they had already closed. My girl took pics with her phone and we chunked them. We went in the next day to explain what happened. After my girl shows her the pics, we then were lectured on how we should have came back up there. We explained they had already closed at that point. «People are still here cleaning up after we close.» Yeah, but they apparently can’t answer phones or make a sub-par burger. Bottom line: there are too many decent burger joints to waste time or money here.

We forgot to pick up our bag after we had breakfast and only discovered the next day. We rushed down and they have it! With my wife’s wallet, a iphone 6+ and couple tech stuff. While this is not food quality or taste, but it shows you the team work here is honest and reflect the food they served! Thanks P’Terry! Food is good. We prefer breakfast menu :)

I’m not as blown away by this place as many of my friends and my little brother. It’s funny, I even have a P. Terry’s sticker on my car that he stuck over the Ford decal. I do wanna like this place but here are my complaints. 1) they don’t have a gluten free bun option so my choices are a lettuce«bun» which gets hella messy with mayo, which there was an excess of today… or eat a burger with a fork(not doing it unless I have to) 2) I just honestly didn’t think the chicken patty had all that much flavor. On a positive note, I do like the fries & the place is incredibly clean. People are nice too! I had eaten at the one south a couple years ago, before my family went gluten free, and I remember liking it. With buns I recall it being more of a 4-star experience. When I do eat here again I’ll get the beef(hopefully on a bun) and update my reviews. Cheers’

Pretty dang good burgers and fries! Service really is quick and they have never messed up any of my orders. I’ve only been serviced via the drive thru so I can’t tell you if it’s clean and decorative on the inside. I order the same thing every time I go: hamburger combo with lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon, and special sauce. My food is always piping hot and tastes fresh. Their shoe string fries are sooo good and well seasoned, never too salty. They definitely give you enough fries for 2 people to share. Make sure you try the milkshakes… My favorite is the root beer but I like the banana milkshake as well. Oh and for $ 1.00 you can get a homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookie which are really soft and not bad for a dessert. Basically it’s on point food every time you go… well done P. Terry’s.

First time goer here, and heard of P Terrys but never had it. I was impressed on how clean the facility is. Now going to the menu, pretty basic and the prices were insanely cheap. I ordered a double burger with onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, no sauce, and a side of fries. I liked the presentation of the burger and fries. The burgers were a bit small, accompanied with two small patties. I tried the fries first and right off the bat you can tell these are freshly cut. They happened to be the soggiest and bland fries ive eaten. Now onto the burger. My first bite i was hit with just the flavor of my veggies and the patties had no flavor. I went to the counter to ask for some of their sauce they put on the burgers and it turns out to just be thousand islands. i put it on it, and the flavor was great. but the whole time i was eating my palm sized burger was that i could make this at home. Overall impression is that it was very clean but not going to go out of my way for this stand. I still prefer other places before this

P. Terry’s burgers always hit the spot! They are fresh, juicy, and the sauce that comes in them gives it that little umff. The staff has always been great. My order always comes out correct.(as it should). I like that the burgers are not massive. You can get a double cheeseburger and not go into a food coma right after. To wash it down, do yourself a favor and order their lemonade. It is one of the BEST! Freshly squeezed lemons, just the right amount of sugar, perfection! They have a chicken and a veggie burger also. A couple of breakfast items which I have yet to try. Bottom line is, this place is great.

P. Terry’s is a great great place, and not just for the food. Every year, our student ministry comes out to this location with maybe 200 students, and we all eat. Yes, we are paying customers, but we come in a massive herd, take up tons of space, and eat a lot of food. Never once have they complained; rather, their service is always fast enough to keep our line going. Food, of course, is your basic burger. I’m no expert, so I think it’s similar to In-N-Out, but most Austin-ites seem to boast it’s better. Nothing wrong with basic, though, and their food is consistently good. Fries come in huge portions, so maybe share with a friend, but they’re cool stringy fries. Their shakes are pretty good, too, but I’ve never had a bad shake, to be honest. Décor is very modern and hip. Pretty spacious compared to other locations. There’s like a sandbox or something outside. Cute. Service is great, everything is clean, overall a good place. We’ve been coming for many years, and we’ll be back!

P. Terry’s is a terrific local burger chain. I love their late hours. It’s nice to know you can still eat a tasty meal at 11 pm. This store has lots of indoor seating. It’s very clean – staff are often cleaning windows and wiping tables. The staff is beyond friendly – they interact with customers like we live in a small town in the country. Their cheeseburger tastes a little better than average. The cheeseburger at In-N-Out is much tastier. The veggie burger here is one of the best veggie burgers in Austin and comes out fast. It’s also one of the cheapest veggie burgers. A lot of people order their lemonade and milkshakes. Maybe I’ll try those someday. This P. Terry’s is located on the northeast quadrant of the Cedar Bend Dr @ Mopac frontage road intersection. It’s nestled between medical complexes.

I hate that I have to lower the stars on my review, but based on my last three orders being incorrect, I feel I have to. How hard is it to follow directions? The receipts show the correct order, but the food comes out wrong. This last time they refunded my money(after I drove all the way home to discover my veggie burger was wrong), but I had to drive back to the store. That was a pain in the butt and I totally lost my appetite after that. That will teach me to pay in cash. ;) Anyway, the food is still pretty good here(love the veggie burger but still not crazy about the fries) when they get it right. 4 stars for the food, 2 stars for the screw-ups. Unfortunately, I think after 3 screw-ups I’m done. Goodbye P Terry’s…it was nice while it lasted.

I’m a TotAL fan. Had the chicken burger with all the fixins… hot and fresh, I subbed the Swiss for American cheese… the fries were hand cut & crispy. Delicious!!! I’m a fan and will be back. I needed a sub for in & out burger since I no longer consume red meat.

The burger culture in Austin is strong, and 90% is due the large customer following. I myself am not a loyal customer to any specific burger restaurant, but P. Terry’s is the closest to where I live, so I find myself here on multiple occasions. You really can’t go wrong with P. Terry’s. First of all, the price is great. Unless you go crazy with the toppings, a cheeseburger is $ 2.60 and all the other burger are under $ 4. This ain’t McDonalds prices, but if you’re looking for a good balance between quality ingredients and low prices, P. Terry’s is it. However, the taste isn’t extraordinary. It’s good, but doesn’t distinguish itself from any other burger. Same goes with the fries as well. There’s only one size, and it’s definitely enough for your fries craving. They’re not super hot or crispy, but the legitimate, hand-cut ones usually aren’t. Hey, and they’re open pretty late! Saved my stomach from resorting to ramen noodles numerous times.

I have gotten food to-go twice from here now. Both times I got the veggie burger and fries. The first time, I was not very impressed… for me it seemed like the cheese overpowered the burger and not in a good way. The fries were not all that warm and didn’t really leave an impression. My boyfriend and I ended up not finishing them, which is UNHEARD of for us. We both thought everything wasn’t that great and a little pricey for what we got. We decided to give it another try a few nights ago, and added a strawberry shake. This time I made certain to taste the patty and it was decent. Not bland, not dry, not too mushy. But for one reason or another, it just gets difficult to eat towards the end. Again, might be the cheese for me. The fries were warmer and fresher this time, so we had no issue finishing them. The shake was a good size — the large is pretty seriously large and I would say it’s a decent value for the price. So right now it’s kind of hit or miss for me. I would come here for close by, late-ish night fast food, but otherwise I would probably opt for other places to get my veggie burger/fry/shake fix.

Ok after many many more visits, I understand the fuss. It’s so delicious. Lemonade is so good. Their shakes are phenomenal. Their fries are so hit and miss though! Some days they come out awesomely crispy and just salty enough. Other days(like today) they come out limp with no seasoning :( Womp womp… Get the cookie instead :)

P. Terry’s is what all burger joints should strive to be. Just good The double meat combo is a perfect size for me while not making me feel like I over ate. The fries are good also.

When my husband and I moved to Austin we asked my sister for food recommendations since she went to college here. She has led us to many great finds such as Amy’s ice cream, numerous food trucks, and many more delectable eats that make up this wonderful foodie playground we now call home. One name that stuck out in memory was P. Terry’s. First off, everyone loves a budget friendly meal. $ 2.20 for a hamburger? Yes, I will thanks! Secondly, upon browsing their website I was even more impressed with their dedication to quality. This comes straight from their page: «EVERYMORNINGAT1:00AM, THEKITCHENLIGHTSCOMEONAND A TEAMOF P. WEDOTHISEVERYDAYBECAUSEFRESHISBEST. « They also contribute to many different charitable causes throughout Austin having so far raised a total of over $ 350,000 for those in need. So even before walking through their doors I was proud to support their business. Basically they are an Austin version of In n Out so it was hard not to compare the two. While I like the burgers better there, I do enjoy the fries immensely more here. I also appreciate that they season their patties which In n Out does not. The best part of the meal, besides price, were the big as your face oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for $ 1 each. With a sprinkle of sea salt and a hint of Mexican vanilla they were off the charts! Perfect way to end a great meal and also an awesome gift idea for when we go home to Dallas since they are individually wrapped. We will be back for sure
