Cute little park down the street from my house. It has benches, a water fountain(dog fountain too), a stage, a little waterfall area, a sunken crushed gravel area and grassy areas. We’re not really sure that the point of this little park is, even though we love that it’s there. There is a stage… but never any concerts or events — and the«Rules and Regulations» sign even states that no loud music is allowed. There’s not much available for kids unless they are really good at utilizing benches and rocks as toys. We always see people playing Petanque, and they seem to love it, so maybe it was installed just for that, who knows. All in all a good little outdoor area — albeit a little mystifying.

It is a small and quite park. We like to come here to watch Petanque or just let the kids run up and down the little hill and around the perimeter. If you are here when the Petanque game is going on, Jim will tell you all about it and gladly give you a chance to try the game. Love how relax I feel when I am at this park.

Paggi Square is all about Petanque — a French game that reminds me of summer holidays. Austin is just one long summer holiday, so that fits. It’s a new pocket park in Mueller — it is mostly crushed granite — ideal for European sports involving hollow metal balls — and with a raised trellised stage at one end and a grassy knoll opposite it. Probably to absorb the sound when Led Zeppelin play their secret show during SXSW2014. It’s shaded well for a Mueller park, and that’s a big plus for me. Also since the neighborhood is still under construction, there’s no need for a playscape here(which is lucky — there isn’t one) — the place is surrounded by sand pits for the wee ones. Shady, gravelly, with a stage. Nice place to sit and throw a ball.
