The number of flavors they have here is insane(cherimoya? «dragon blood»?), and the toppings are just as plentiful(sal y limón, anyone?). The cups are a great size, the price isn’t bad($ 3 for a medium) and the treats are heavy with syrup and very sweet. This is my local summer fix.

A few weeks ago, I was lamenting the fact that school was starting up and my lazy summer days spent with my puppy were over. The day before I went back to work, I told my husband the only thing that would cheer me up would be to have a raspa(or shaved ice, if you prefer). So after we took our dog to the park, we looked for a stand and, as luck would have it, we found one almost right in our backyard. Unfortunately, they weren’t open when we drove by and I was super bummed. The next day after work I passed by the stand and found it was open. I bought a small Tiger’s Blood for $ 1.75 and all was right with the world again. We’ve gone back about 3 times since then. So far I’ve had the Tiger’s Blood, Root Beer/Ice Cream mix, and Moulin Rouge, but there are many more I still want to try. I haven’t even added cream to any yet so there’s always that option to explore. Because I pass by there on my way home everyday, I can just about guarantee I’ll need the frequent buyer card.

The tongue tastes four major tastes – bitter, sour, salty and sweet. The Diablo tickles them all. I dare you try it.
