Radium Girls Written by D.W. Gregory Directed by Gary Payne In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage – until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S. Radium Corporation, but with her own family and friends, who fear that her campaign for justice will backfire. Written with warmth and humor, Radium Girls is a fast-moving and riveting evening of theater. It offers a wry, unflinching look at the peculiarly American obsessions with health, wealth, and the commercialization of science. Featuring Rebecca Corso, Brady Kickhaefer, Rachel Collier, Julie Linnard, Emily Beatty, Terrie Cooper, Laura Rice, Collins Van Nort, Ethan Love, Tony Salinas, Dave Westenbarger.

This local theatre group is a terrific addition to the vibrant Austin arts community. It’s not a major professional theatre company like Zach Scott, but its performances and facilities have a charming, collegial«community theatre» air to them, and all who support the theatre(actors, stage crew, house staff, etc.) are volunteers. I’ve been to several performances and I’ve enjoyed them all.

My favorite Austin theater by far. Strong acting. Compelling material. Always thought-provoking.

Phenomenal performance of Incorruptable! I was really amazed by how well the show was cast, directed and the overall production. There was never a dull moment. It was filled with quick wit, brilliant acting by the two older monks. And a lot of promising performances by the rest of the cast. Truly an ensemble. I can’t wait to see what they are working on next!
