Decent food but you cannot place an order to go as no one answers the damn phone. Hell of a way to lose business.

I’m not from Austin… In town on business and was looking for some home country cooking… Apparently everything near the airport is either Mexican food or food trucks… Took a drive and seen this place… decided to pull in and give it a try… I was NOT disappointed… Ordered the blue plate special, which changes daily. The blue plate had southwestern chicken covered in ploblano peppers, onions, and Swiss cheese… Amazing flavor… Came with mashed potatoes and I chose fried okra for my additional side… all I can say is that this country cooking is close enough to my Grandma’s

I really wanted to love it here. It is a cute space with a menu that has cute dish names. There was also a band on stage preparing to sing. So far so good! Let me tell you about the problems. When ordering our food, fried mozzarella was ordered for appetizers, one friend requested the chicken dish and the rest of us ordered the pork chops. The fried mozzarella was overdone– overly crisp outside. Next our entrees came out before our salads. Our pork chops had been fried too long and were not good. My friend reminded our waitress, Sadie, about the gravy and we told her about the salads. The salads came and again we inquired about the gravy. The gravy finally came and by then my friend just wanted the brocoli since her potatoes were cold. Sadie offered to heat them up and did not want to giver her broccoli. Sadie also included that she had been busy because she had been given three additional tables. I then asked to speak to the manager. The bartender/manager was nice and got my friend the broccoli. Will definitely never go here again!

I decided to try out Patsy’s café when I discovered I could have it delivered through Bitesquad. I ordered the Molly Ivins burger, and it was decent at best. I requested that they leave off the mayo and add bacon, neither of which was done. There was too much guacamole that the burger couldn’t stay together and when the burger arrived the entire bottom bun was soggy. I ended up taking off the buns because the top was covered in mayo and the bottom was wet. The fries were also soft and somewhat soggy. Overall, I was disappointed. Hoping that maybe it was just because it was delivered.

servings were very big and we were for sure full afterwards. I love that they do live music and do not charge for it. Their drink prices are great also. I had the chicken fried steak and will return when around that area.

This waitress Kelly is the best damn food server EVER! She takes good care of you… Do yourself a favor; get the fish tacos and ask to be seated in Kelly’s section for lunch!.

As you should be able to see, they did offer to send me a gift card. I sent them my name and address 3 weeks ago and I have not receive a reply nor a gift certificate. To be honest, it wouldn’t be worth it anyway.

One of Austin’s hidden treasures for live music, especially with Brad doing the booking again. No cover, pretty good chow, and rarely crowded in the evenings. Their location isn’t ideal, but driving time for most Austinites is about the same as to other South Austin venues like Strange Brew. If they’d just emulate the QSC sound system at Strange Brew, I’d probably rent a booth and move in.

Although I’ve only eaten here a few times, I keep telling people about it. It’s very close to our area(E. Riverside) which is turning into a fast food desert. I love Southern food but get tired of Threadgill’s and some of our other usual stops. So far, I’ve had 5he chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and the Shiner chicken. All three meals were amazing, highly recommend putting in some happy hour time here. Only taking a star off cause the will sit you on the patio and totally forget about you sometimes, but the food makes up for it, and the wait staff is always super friendly and accommodating.

Had the Liz Carpenter sandwich(BLT) with the homemade chips and a side of ranch. This is my third time ordering it. It’s really tasty and the chips are addictively good. They are cut and cooked to order so they’re really fresh and just the right amount of salt. They are generous with the bacon and its fresh and cooked perfectly. I’ve also had their burgers which are equally tasty. They cook the patty to your liking, not just well done. Solid sandwiches. So far no bad experiences.

This place rocks! Sam knows how to serve it up and it is good! We had the fish tacos, chicken fried steak and hamburger. All tasty!

The chicken fried steak is probably the best I have had in a very long time. The breading was very crispy, yet not greasy. Almost a panko type texture. The onion rings were very good as well. Would definitely go back and the music is nice.

Ok, so my wife was a big fan of this place as she went to this place years ago. So we were on our way home and decided to stop here with the kids. Let’s just start with the food and service. The food and service was not bad. I have no real complaints about the food per say or the service. Complaints: We ordered a separate order of fries in our meal. The waitress, knowing that I had ordered a separate fries and my wife had some fries with her meal combined them into one basket. I asked her about the other order and she stated that they combined the order into one basket. Ok, but the fact that looking at the fries in the basket, it did not even feel like a full order let alone two of them was somewhat depressing. Being the analytical person I am counted the fries. 24 fries in the basket. Hmm. My biggest issue was the bill. The waitress billed us for $ 31.00 worth of food at $ 41.00. I don’t normally check the bill as I assume the place is being fair with us and charging us accordingly, as we did not even notice the bill being incorrect till we were halfway home. Either way there is nothing worse than not getting the food that you paid for but getting ripped off. So we looked up their number online and called them. They did not have a manager on duty to speak with us. Hmm. Sad to say I can state clearly that I will never go to a place again that I cannot trust to get the damn bill right in the first place. It’s not like I am going to Taco Bell, and expect them to screw up my order, but the fact that we asked them about it, and the waitress blatantly told me it was correct with the fries makes me question the respect of this establishment. Then getting this incorrect order on the bill, then not having anyone to address it with is utter garbage. Not a place I will ever go back to again. I feel like I have just been bitch slapped.

Just ate lunch here about an hour ago, and thought it was pretty good. Giving 5 stars because it was what I expected it to be. Service was great! I love sweet tea, and base my tip and review on how long my glass sits empty on the table. I can gladly say that it never got empty because as soon as it got low the server whisked it away, and quickly returned with a filled glass. Perfect. The burger was good and juicy. I had to go home after I ate to wash my beard. Probably a good problem.

This place is close to work so we stop by often. The cow girl queso is the best! It’s queso with brisket and guacamole. The other plates are ok. Good reliable comfort food but nothing spectacular.

so I’ve driven past this place for years and finally decided to give it a try. I came with my brother whom had been here before so he gave me an idea of what to expect. He told me that this place belongs to Willie Nelsons sister? Not sure if he was just pulling my left or what. So upon getting here the hostess made a joke saying«Omg people!» due to it being so dead which I chuckled at. I ordered the blue cheese burger and got cowboy chips which is home made lays style chips with ranch dipping sauce which wasn’t half bad. My burger was a 4 out of 5. Service was great too. Great average place to eat all in all!

Pretty good place to hang out before a flight. My fiancé and I come here often before catching a flight. It’s great when flights are delayed and you can wait, eat and drink here instead of the airport. They have great queso with brisket in it. So good. That’s really the only thing I’ve ever eaten here. I’m willing to try other things on the menu and it’s only a matter of time before I do, considering how often we fly.

We were in the area and decided to try something new so we stopped at Patsy’s to have lunch. As we pulled into the parking lot it looked like not too many people were here, but it was 11 am and Saturday. We walk in and there was only one other customer who was sitting at the bar. The place looked like a old style country place that has a lot of western appeal with a stage in it. But in Austin it seems like every restaurant and even stores have a small stage. We were seated in a booth and started to study the menu and our server ordered out drinks. The menu had interesting names of food items. I order my BBQ sandwich and my wife got a burger. As we waited a few more arrived and our nice server refilled our drinks. Soon our food arrive and smelled great. The BBQ sandwich was a bit dry but BBQ was provided. The fries tasted good too. I also tried the burger and it was also a bit dry, but did taste very good. Overall the food was good and definitely worth coming back. It also seems like this place with a stage inside and playground outside would be a great place to bring the family to.
