Why bother reviewing a Pizza Hut? To spare someone else. The guy who seems to always be at the cash register this year seems incredibly hostile. Tonight, the guy didn’t want to combine two loyalty cards for a free pizza. I think the irony was lost on the guy. I’m glad we didn’t pay for the pizza. It was cold, gross and… wrong. tl;dr: rude service, bad pizza.

Our pizza showed up and it was the wrong crust and without the balsamic drizzle on it, the main reason we ordered it. Pizza was cold and pizza rolls were cold despite they location is less than a mile from were I’m at. Very disappointed.

I’m not normally one who orders delivery of a pizza as I like it immediately out of the oven. I also usually don’t frequent chain pizza places. As this was a holiday, the Lady and I don’t do chores on Labor Day. So we ordered a pepperoni, mushroom and jalapeño pizza with bone-​in (of course) hot wings. Delivery was exactly on time, hot and pretty darn good for the situation. I was pleased and so was the Lady.

Just moved to Austin from the Northeast and I’ve been told to beware of pizza down here because well it simply doesn’t compare. With that being said I enjoy Pizza Hut even though it isn’t authentic pizza. Sometimes I just crave it. This location is as good as any other I’ve been to in the country. Delivery was to the minute as well. Impressive for an area with SO much traffic.

I know, it’s pizza hut. I wasn’t expecting greatness. I was expecting hot junk food delivered without hassle. What I got was a surly driver who interrupted me and spoke over me when he needed directions, demanding that I stand outside, and lukewarm pizza. I had to warm it up in the oven, which even on low heat, dried out the pie. My email to management was ignored, so here we are on a public forum. What a great reminder of why I haven’t used pizza hut in years.

I hate to admit eating at Pizza Hut… but you know… sometimes it just happens.
I want to write this review based on the customer service. From the phone call placing the order to the service we received when picking up the pizza… it was the best. I think the guy who was the cashier might have been the manager? Either way — he was friendly, funny, personable, efficient, positive. Hopefully his boss will read this — give that guy a raise — he deserves it!
