I just completed my 6th week of HIIT at Plates on Plates(PoP) that I purchased on Groupon. What a great place to work out! First, the facility is clean and spacious and has loads of parking. I had been working out regularly, but I was intimidated to get started because I hadn’t really done much HIIT recently. The first time I came in, Kristina was super welcoming and made me feel right at home. The instruction is excellent, the music is great, and the workouts are tough, but modifications are offered, so there’s no pressure to do more than you’re comfortable doing. I loved working out here and will be purchasing a 3-month membership.

I’ve been coming to Plates on Plates for a little over a month now, but was introduced to the HIIT fitness technique by Coach Kristina at another gym she worked at in the past. I always felt like that was the best shape I’d ever been in my whole life, so figured it was time to give it another shot at Kristina’s new gym! So I’m back now, going 3 – 4 times a week and love it! Kristina is an extremely motivating coach, and the vibe at PoP Fitness is the perfect fit for me. In and out within 45 minutes, and several class times to choose from each day so you aren’t locked into a specific time or day of the week. Its way more flexible than a personal trainer or group training sessions which I’ve tried at other gyms. We typically focus on a lower body workout Mondays and Thursdays, and upper body on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.(I haven’t made it to a Friday/Saturday class yet.) Kristina does a great job at switching things up everyday, so you never feel like you’re doing the same workout. There are 4 stations with two exercises at each station that you rotate through four times before switching… think kettlebells, resistance bands, box jumps, TRX, med balls and more. It definitely gets your heart pumping and whips your booty into shape! I highly recommend PoP… its in a super convenient location, great coaches, fun and welcoming people, new equipment, and pre-prepped meals are also an option if you’re into that! You should definitely give it a try if you are looking to spice things up in your fitness routine.

I met Kristina a while back at another HIIT gym she worked at. She helped me lose a lot of weight and gain a lot of strength as well. I’ve definitely fallen off the fitness wagon, and I’m confident Kristina is the partner I need to get back into shape. I will recommend these girls to everyone and anyone who is serious about getting into the best shape of their lives. Doesn’t matter what your fitness level is … You’ll enjoy the workout.

A month before moving to Austin my boyfriend told me there was a Groupon for a gym that sounded like something I would love. A weight lifting and strength training enthusiast, I had to give up my personal training sessions for monetary reasons, and this was a great deal! Months after my move I signed up for my six week trial at PoP Fitness. I knew after a week I’d make this my gym. PoP is a welcoming gym that won’t make you feel like you have to be in shape to be here. Everyone who works out at PoP is friendly and will cheer each other on to get through the hardest of circuits. I work out primarily with Kristina who is the most personable and approachable person ever! She is motivating and understanding and will take the time to show you correct form. Another plus to PoP is their online community. Weekly postings help members stick to their goals and will help you motivate others at the same time. If you are sick of the treadmill and enjoy a good challenge(or if you’re like me and like when you’ve already finished said challenge…) you’re gonna love PoP. Still not convinced?
