This place is tiny! Decent mix of hip hop and Latin club music

They play great music but the crowd leaves much to be desired. A bunch of people who love and know the lyrics to every hip-hop & rap song but would instantly cross the street if they saw a black person coming in the opposite direction. Once we got kicked out of the smoke pit because the bar was closing in 20 minutes but the bouncer dude allowed all of his friends to stay and continue smoking. No cool. The bathrooms are an abomination but in general this is a very greasy place.

My favorite, intimate, electric music venues in Austin. Have always had a great time here.

Asthmatics beware: they smoke inside here. Instant attack. Could not deal

Got dragged into this place because they were advertising cheap drinks. But it was just to lure me in. the bartender chick was cute, with her hipster glasses. Reminds me of those Asian girls, but she was white. Anyway, Wells drinks were $ 3 per shot. I ended up getting a beer instead. The music here was all underground music. You see a lot of ratchet people in this club. A bit weird for my taste. I tried to get into it on the tiny dance floor that they had, but I didn’t feel it. There was also a girl just passed out on the couch. I chugged my beer and left.

I don’t usually go into this place, but I’ll make it a point to not go back. If you like to dance around people who are not coordinated because of a combination of horse tranquilizers, their high heels, and insecure weak men barnacles on their tuckus, then this is the place for you. What kind of men pick fights with women? If you do go please watch your feet, your purse and do your best not to provoke the ignorant and insecure.

Great place to find underground DJs… Scary looking from the door but family vibe inside!

Opened a tab, tipped 20%, but the next morning a few hundred dollars in fraudulent charges were made to my account from Plush. Bar tender was the only one with access to my card… Super shady — pay with cash if you are going to this dump.

Only the coolest dance club in ATX! Plush is NOT a booty’bump’n’grind drug den like other places. It’s more like a friendly community of people who love electronic, hip hop and dancing. Awesome staff and sound system. Tuesday night drum and bass rocks and MONDAYNIGHTRAAAW rules the night! Definitely check it out if you like really cool bars.

Plush is one of the best bars in Austin to hear some real old school hip hop. DJs are almost always on point. Crowd is ready to party and dance their face off. Bar is «intimately small» but that is part of what makes the bar. It can get crowded, but bartenders take care of everyone. Don’t get lost in the back room!!!;) If you are looking for a big bar with lots of Coeds keep it to 6th street. If your main goal is music, Plush is hard to beat.

I actually really like this club. It definitely brings out a specific type of crowd but everyone seems rather friendly overall. People do like to dance even though the club is very very tiny. You can sometimes see people actually breakdancing which is always fun to see.

We happily frolicked into this club one night in desperate need of some hip-hop and it was love at the first beat drop! We had a blast! This is by far my favorite dive spot off of 6th street. The DJ kept the club rocking, throbbing, and popping all night long. Let me throw out a disclaimer however, if you can not deal with small spaces, smoke, or wall to wall people, than this is not the ideal bust a move place for you. There is also a patio for those people who want to join the party but also be able to escape the pressures of the club scene. The vibe in this place is amazing! The crowd was extremely diverse and the signature drinks were quite tasty. We even got quick service at the bar and all of our questions answered about their drink specials. This is a must visit :)

A small club that’s kind of divey looking and has no cover. Drink prices are decent and music is good. My husband and I went to a few other bars in the area, but ended up coming back here.

Plush can ensure you a damn good workout in Austin. You can dance to some screwmbia, hip hop, in a small dark hot room where you are sure to work it hard enough to sweat it all off.(It’s better than Birkham) Make sure you work it too, because the drinks aren’t as cheap as the décor would suggest.

No line or cover. Great atmosphere for 80;s boogie(which I had the pleasure of being entertained by the Austin Boogie Crew). The collection of VHS tapes in the back offered additional entertainment. Cheap drinks and all that. I dig it!

Plush is one of those place that for me, I love to hate. Everyone and their mama can be found in Plush, so its such a chill place for everyone. Im definitely one of the«older» people in there, lol, but you go where the good music is, and Plush def has that. Im a hip-hop/rap head, and unfortunately our clubs and venues locally SUCK. so when a good DJ, or act is here, I know itll be worth the HOTASS garage called Plush. They smoke inside, which sucks. and there is virtually no ventilation. or a/c, so be prepared. That MF is brutal on a summer night, but go, enjoy the music, the love of the crowd, and know that you can go in your shorts and t and no one will look twice, I wouldnt wear heels, but do whats best! Its packed, you cant move too much, and its hot. but its good music and no drama.

I’m giving Plush four stars mostly for the fact that they have a rad-tastic, rumpshakin’, booty-bouncin’ hip-hop night on Wednesdays. Also, the scene there is pretty laid back and hipster-free, the drinks aren’t too pricey, and the bartenders provide swift service regardless of how packed the place is. My only complaint is that the club itself is far too small, and there isn’t much room for dancing, or moving around in general. You’ve gotta put up one heck of a fight just to get to the bathroom.

Every time I stumble into Plush, I have an absolutely AMAZING time! The energy here is undeniable, and you better get ready to get crazy! This dark, dank little dive in the wall is pounding with powerhouse bass and serious beats. Drink, dance and don’t give a damn! I got to see John Reyes here as well as Capital Techno and it was packed out both times! Even when it gets packed out though, there’s still ALWAYS room to dance! Pros: Top notch DJs, bad-ass bass, awesome back room, great bartender service! Cons: NASTY ass bathroom. Oh well! :)

As an out of towner(from Philly) on a business trip, I needed to cleanse my bored brain with beats. I found Plush from an internet listing and was surprised with what I saw. This is no pretentious NYC bottle service club. It’s a comfortable bar with good dance music and dim lighting. No lasers or hands in the air, just great music. And no cover or door hassle! That was pure heaven and I felt so lucky to stumble on the place. I thought the beer selection was a little lean, but Philly is a craft beer town so I’m a little snobby in that department.

Now THIS is a dance club I could hang out at! While me and my date for the evening were awaiting the arrival of Electric Six at Emo’s down the street, we stumbled into Plush for a drink and a change of scenery. I gotta tell ya, I love, love, LOVE how almost every club in Austin has a secret, «chill» bunker in the back. A nice little place to sit down, kick back and escape the craziness of the main dance floor. By no means was the place crowded, but hanging in the back room while sippin’ on Crunk was dope. In that back room, they have some cool graffiti art. Good street art is like heroine to me. I absolutely LOVE it. They also had a photo hunt machine that I wouldn’t recommend playing, because it’s so effin’ dark, you can’t see much of anything. Getting back to the main room, for a dancy place, Plush had no air of pretension. The bartender was really cool and the DJs were yucking it up with folks that had questions about the music they were spinning. There were two DJs that night, and it looked as though they were having some kind of DJ battle. It was neato. In San Diego, you wouldn’t be able to buy a beer or cocktail for less than $ 7 in a place like this. Being Austin, my whiskey/soda was just 3 bones. Rad!
