Here’s how good Roxana can cut hair: Went to bed with my hair wet and in the morning plugged in my curling iron because I was sure I would need to do some damage control. Looked in the mirror when I had properly woken up and my hair looked perfect! That’s a good haircut!

I got hair extensions there and all I have to say is, beware. The one’s that were put in were fried. They were over processed. When you first get them, they don’t appear to be this way but after I washed, they were dry and frizzy. I bought over $ 60 worth of products and nothing helped. I had to flat iron which broke off my own hair in the process. Three of the extensions were falling out so I had to wear them like this until she got back from vacation. They were sticking out the sides of my hair and I had to wear a hat or ponytail the entire time. I spent $ 460 there on extensions and then they had to highlight my own hair to make it match. It was a complete mess and I wish I had never gotten these. I have now asked for my money back for the extensions since they were over processed. I got curly since I wanted to wear my hair naturally curly. I was NEVER able to do this. Now, I had to get my hair cut off! It’s short. I’m very upset about it. She said she would check with the company about the hair. It’s been almost 2 weeks and nothing.

R Salon is named for the owner, Roxana. Roxana is the best. I LOVE my new haircut. She takes her time and takes everything into account — your hair, your style, your routines. She is also cautious and won’t go too crazy and give you a haircut you will regret. Her South Austin salon is very nice — pleasant atmosphere — easy parking

Update5/​2/​13 — Can’t believe how long I have been going here. I have been growing my hair out for a while with only a trim now and then and going natural with the color. Today I finally got a cut and color and I am so happy. I just let Roxana do what she wants with the color and she is an alchemist! Gorgeous color better than I could imagine. Magic happened and I feel like a million bucks. It is an awesome cut and color!!!
