Re

I love vintage stores, and this one has so much potential. It just doesn’t have that much in it. A few clothes, a couple lamps, a lot of old board games and other toys, and some vinyl. You can go in and out in 15 minutes.
The prices are good. I the shirts I found that were cool, they were about $ 10. That’s about half price or less in this town.
Re is definitely worth a look if you are in the area, but I wouldn’t encourage you to drive half an hour to get there.

I have a soft spot for the Re store. I discovered it when it just opened last spring (I think), and we must’ve talked to the owner for half an hour or more and came away with some great deals. The owner’s gotta be the friendliest store owner in South Austin – he runs the place with his wife, and their new baby girl. I’ve taken friends there on spur-​of-​the-​moment shopping detours quite a few times.
It’s a tiny little spot that’s easy to miss, but filled with vintage treasures and offbeat finds, like jewelry, sunglasses, records and CDs, purses, vintage T-​shirts and other clothes, nick-​knacks, and a piece or two of furniture. There’s also a bin of random hats in the back are a ton of fun to try on.
It’s one of those places that I stop into from time to time and come away with something that I didn’t know existed, didn’t know I needed, but am glad I found. Just shopping there and seeing friendly faces, is half the draw.

Re– is an amazing store. Not only do they have seriously awesome beautiful vintage finds, but I have to give mad props to the owners. Friendly and welcoming they quickly bonded with my friend and I, and free of charge lent us a bunch of beautiful things for a stage show we were doing. We had to literally bully them into accepting an ad in our program in return.
And! After we toured the store the owner took us to these secret passages attached to the building that literally connect a bazillion buildings in that area of town. For some well priced vintage accessories, clothing and furniture and a really incredibly friendly environment, Re– is a must see.
