I’ve been here twice for work lunches. It’s a good place to go if your group is on the larger side and you can’t all agree on one style of food. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. I’ve had the taco salad and the cobb salad. Both were good apart from the driest chicken I’ve ever eaten on my cobb. I recommend visiting their site to check out their full menu — if you’re going at lunch they’ll usually hand out only lunch menus, but you can still order anything off the full as long as you know what it is you want. The view from the upstairs patio is what makes this place. Definitely recommend sitting there!

My buddy told me red’s porch’s blackened chicken sandwich is one of the best chicken sammys he’s ever had, so being the foodie I am — I tried ordering it to-go the next day. Half time of FSUs game I call in and am disappointed to hear they don’t do to go orders during brunch– though I understand. Call at 7:30 to make a to go order and stay on hold for 8 mins. Hang up, call again and stay on hold for 4 mins. I’ve already drove to reds by now, walk in and the hostess is standing there doing nothing and I see my call is still on hold. Wtf. Sandwich was awesome, service — not so much. I’ll eat here again if I’m drinking, but won’t place to-go again.

Love this place but, the service is always sub-par and SO slow. You might as well ask for your check when you sit down because it takes forever to cash out. If you haven’t been to their brunch, DOIT. There’s usually a wait, but I always find that if they tell you 30 – 40 minutes, you’ll usually get sat in 10 – 15. Great upstairs area with a great view. Food is decent, but I feel a little overpriced. GREAT beer selection and AWESOME bartenders. Washers and bags areas outside.

I moved back to Colorado from Austin about 18 months ago. I can’t believe that I didn’t know about Red’s Porch when I was living there! A couple of months ago I made a quick visit back to Austin and two of my best girlfriends took me to Red’s Porch for Happy Hour. What a great atmosphere! The Hill Country view was awesome and what started as a Margarita Happy Hour turned into a true Texas comfort food dinner experience(yummy chicken fried steak!!!) There was a beautiful sunset over the hills that evening too. Now I am homesick, not only for Austin, but for Red’s…thanks Matt! Super friendly, Texas style, service. I will be back as soon as I can! Don’t ya’ll want to move to Denver?

Let me start with … 1. happy hour Monday through Friday 11 – 7. Said what?! Not only is this good to know but also. 2. They also they offer great options for happy hour bites at pretty decent prices 3. If you’ve got a hankering to keep drinking after 7 or if your job kept you a few hours overtime, dont you worry because it seems they have one special drink that stays on special the rest of the night Chips and Queso — we all know it’s not only the queso that make this dish. Chips can also make or break this commonly ordered app. The chips here received a thumbs up from me and the queso had a nice little unique flavor to it. Thank you for not just melting velveeta in a bowl and serving it to me. Jalapeño Poppers — the smoked chicken stuffing was a nice surprise(I guess I didn’t really read the details on the menu). The breading was crunchy but a little too thick. The roof of my mouth behind my teeth was getting rubbed raw. Boudin balls — The breading here was totally opposite — just a thin layer barely holding the ball together. The boudin itself lacked the spice and jazz I was waiting for after each bite. We got out of here with some drinks and some snacks for less than $ 20 which seems a pretty rare occurence these days. That’s pretty alright in my books.

Grabbed dinner with my boy friend here the other night before work and enjoyed dining on their large upstairs patio. It was a chilly night but perfect temp upstairs and outside with their covered space. The chicken fried steak is huge! The okra is seasoned and delicious with a Cajun kick. Personally, I only thought the mac n cheese was okay, but I’m pretty picky about that. The cheeseburger with goat cheese and fried onions and bacon was SUPERGOOD. I would get that again. Loved the crunchiness about that burger. I was headed to work so I couldn’t partake in a beverage but they have a great happy hour and drink specials. I cant wait to come back and try a few of their drinks. Great service too. We left our card at the table and they ran it out to us! See you soon Reds!

We came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and loved it. The staff was very sweet and talks to you live they’ve known you for years. I ordered the smokehouse chicken and the portion was huge! I ate about a third of it and boxed the rest. The chicken was tender and moist and the macaroni and cheese was super cheesy. I liked the ambiance, there’s TVs to watch any game, and the service was great.

My family ate at Red’s for lunch. It was our first time there. We were given our choice of sitting upstairs to overlook the Greenbelt or downstairs. It was quite windy and a little cool(62 degrees), and the upstairs only has sheets of plastic as a barrier, so we chose the more brick and mortar downstairs. I ordered the portobello sandwich, which was large enough to not need to order a side. It’s a great alternative for vegetarians. There is a children’s menu with typical child-friendly fare with plenty of sides for them to choose that aren’t fries. My spouse ordered the Spanish omelet. He enjoyed it and didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day as portions are Texas sized. Soda is typical Austin, lots of pure sugar and local alternatives to the Pepsi/Coke war, but they do throw a bone to Diet Coke fanatics. The waitstaff was efficient and friendly, a bit slow on bringing the check. We look forward to trying Red’s on a less blustery day to check out the upstairs scene.

I can see why Red’s Porch is so popular. It’s a fun bar with multiple floors, all sorts of games(like tabletop shuffleboard and darts inside, and cornhole and washers in the parking lot). There are also TVs for sports and they run trivia night on Tuesdays in the back yard on the lower level. The upstairs feels like a mall parking lot, but there’s a ton of space(bathrooms are on ground level though). We shared an order of the fried pickles, and I had the chicken fried chicken sandwich. Really solid, especially with the bacon gravy, and several steps above typical bar food. But a better selling point of theirs is the beer list. They have a ton available, in all styles. If it’s on your way, definitely make a pit stop at Red’s!

It’s ok. The food quality is, for the most part, typical sports bar level food, with an expanded menu. Probably better for a group, than dining alone.
