We were happy that a new location opened up near our place. We had been to the old location at Lakeway a few times. This time we decided to use our Groupon for lunch for two. We had a nice dining experience at the patio. The greeter was friendly and so was the serving staff. There appeared to be more patrons on the patio than inside. The service was efficient and courteous We ordered a panini and a past dish. Their house bread served with flavored olive oil is very good and you are at a danger of filling up on it. The portion sizes were big and very tasty, They were brought to our table hot and fresh. Over all a nice experience. We are already planning to go back for dinner.

Great place to sit and eat with the family or enjoy a glass of wine with friends. I liked how they brought complementary warm bread. The crab cakes were amazing! The pricing is very fair for the quality and proportions. The owner greeted upon entering and leaving. Great prompt service. Kid friendly menu for only $ 5.

We came here to try Italian restaurants close to our new home. Wine selection was good and the salmon Alessondra was prepared well. Our server was friendly and courteous, maybe overwhelmed by the number of tables she was covering. The manager went around greeting patrons but for some reason that I find strange, he avoided our table. I think I will take my business to other Italian restaurants around my neighborhood.

The atmosphere and service were great. Our waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating. The owner greeted us and told us good bye at the end of our meal. The food was excellent — and we have some very particular people in our group. Will definitely return.

Haven’t even left the table yet, but I can’t wait to say how amazing this place is. I didn’t even need the steak knife for my filet, and my husband raved about the chicken Marsala. Drink was tasty, and the service was excellent. What more can you ask for?

Average Italian. .I would say overpriced. The menu lacks imagination and true Italian entrees. Service is good but I would say overall not bad, but not impressive.

The service was great. The food was mediocre at best and seemed expensive given quality

They had a few bugs to work out when they moved to their new location in Bee Caves. I was glad that they seemed to have worked them out by my last visit. The food is great. Always fresh and very tasty. They could use some help with the acoustics. The inside is very noisy at times and it’s hard to carry on a conversation.

Stopped by on a Tuesday evening and had one of the best meals ever. Started with the Shrimp Alessondra which were delicately breaded shrimp fried to perfection and served in a lemony sauce. Our entrees included the Veal Marsala and the Cappellini Mia both of which were fantastic and cooked perfectly. We finished off dinner with a delicate lemon cake which was the perfect ending to a wonderful dinner. We will be back even if it does mean an over 30 mile drive… it is worth it!

I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone! The food/oysters were amazing! Plus the owner, Rocco, took the time to come by and make sure that everything was perfect! This is my new«it» spot! What a fantastic dining experience on a Tuesday night!

We stopped for a family dinner after reading some of the positive reviews. I can summarize my review by saying this was more of a dining experience than just a restaurant experience. We were welcomed by free appetizers, which was a nice touch. Service was great, the menu is quite varied. I had th Salmon, which I was later informed was caught the day before in the Pacific Northwest and never frozen. My wife and kids had a steak, pizza and a salad. The pizza was good but not extraordinary. The steak and the salmon was excellent. What made the night was that the owner, Rocky, stopped by our table to introduce himself and to chat. He is such a nice guy, really passionate about providing the best food and service for his patrons. We will come back.

This was our first time at the new location. One of the best experiences I have ever had from a service stand point and we were also very pleased with our food. We came in for a late dinner around 7:30pm on a Friday. The hostess said it would be about 10 minutes. I noticed her sense of urgency in getting us seated as quickly as possible. She was ready with menus in hand before the table was even ready. We were promptly seated and Ashley rushed over to get our drink order. She then asked if we would like to hear the specials. I thought it was refreshing that she asked before just reading them off. She described the specials in great detail and made each one sound amazing. She then made a suggestion on some of her favorite items. We were not going to order alcoholic beverages at first, but Paul came over and asked what we were drinking and made a couple of suggestions. Both were drinks were right on the money. I love the 2244! In house bread was brought our warm. Our meals were out quickly. We had both gotten pasta dishes that were wonderful. My Italian boyfriend loved the sausage. We are a couple of foodies. My boyfriend is a chef and we tend to be very«Gordan Ramsey-ish» when we eat out. This was a great experience! I dream about that lemonchello cake… don’t pass on that. I really want to stress to the owner that he has a very good team. Paul and Ashley are valuable employees. This was a very nice meal and Rocco’s has earned a couple more Lakeway area regulars. Keep up the good work.

Our whole family loves the new location! It’s spacious and modern but the friendly staff and, Rocco himself, make it feel warm and even cozy. Their bread and olive oil dip is so delicious! You’ll want to request a few mini loaves but don’t fill up before dinner– you’ll want to order several courses. It’s hard to pick a favorite salad — the homemade Italian dressing is amazing, but the pecan salad is addictive. My husband adores their Caesar salad and that’s all he’ll order. I recommend the chicken piccata and lasagne. I’m sure the other entrees are delectable but these are the two I always go back to. The mashed potatoes with the chicken piccata are perfect. I’ve had almost all of their desserts and they’re all great, however the Limoncello cake is divine. I can’t share it with anyone even though it’s a good size portion.

This was a great find. Woody was great. And the food was great. I had the sea bass and it was boat fresh. The same can be said of the salmon. Daughter had the filet and loved it. Don’t have anything bad to say.

Served raw chicken. Rest did not matter. How does that happen?!? Old location was ok, not great. We were hoping new location would up their game. Nope.

Recenty went to Rocco’s at the new location in Bee Cave. The good: Top notch professional service. The bad: High price Had the Chicken Marsala. Chicken was definitely not fresh. Very tough and rubbery. Not like the Chicken Marsala I had at there Lakeway location which was very good. Will give it another try in hopes that it improves to the quality of the former lakeway location

This new location is the bomb. Beautiful décor and Rockey the chef has outdone himself I his new state of the art kitchen. I had his Chicken Marsala and being a fan of the dish, I am a natural critic-it was delicious. The grilled mushrooms ala carte for an appetizer were great along with the calamari. They boast a gorgeous bar and to find live acoustic music here on a Thursday night was such a nice treat. If you haven’t been here-you’re really missing out!

There is only one reason I am giving them 2 stars and that is the bread is outstanding and it was peaceful on there patio and that where it ends. The restaurant was quiet on Saturday night at 8.30 so there should be no excuse for bad service and COLD food… Everything we ordered was barely luke warm. The waitress apologized and that’s where it ends she did not offer to reheat anything what a pity as we will never be back …

This restaurant is AMAZING. Simply amazing. The bread and olive oil dip are addictive. I ordered the steak medallions medium and they came out PERFECTLY. I have eaten wonderful steak before, but this steak tops them all. It is the best steak I have ever eaten. Yes, I’m serious. My husband ordered the chicken piccata and declared it the most tender and juicy chicken he’s ever tasted. The vanilla cheesecake was the perfect ending to our dinner. It’s a very light cheesecake. Thank you Rocco’s Grill for preparing some of the best food we have ever had.

Great location atmosphere is good staff is friendly. Food is ok. I wish they made there own pasta. But it was still good. My favorite part was asking for some garlic bread not on the menu but Anthony made it happen and it was great. You have to love a restaurant that strives to make you happy. Can’t wait to see the patio fill up and more local wares

This place is a real hidden gem. I have not had anything in here that I did not like. The food is mostly Mediterranean with a lean toward Italian. The patio is nice but not in bug season! The service is always terrific. I have not met anyone who has not been above average in promptness and pleasantness. The dishes that stand out as extraordinary to me are the Chicken Piccata and all of the steak entrees. The tomato soup and the spumoni are amazing!

I would recommend the experience and the food at Rocco’s Grill. I had the grilled salmon with crab on top and my husband had the«special» which was pasta and shrimp. Both entrees were very good. What’s not to love about champagne, right? Rocco’s has a bottle of French Champagne for $ 11, and it’s very nice! Be warned though, there is no popping cork. Screw caps are the more economical and practical way to bottle now, which is why this great bottle is only $ 11! Champagne goes with everything! We had a wonderful meal, good service, great champagne and a wonderful view. Towards the end of our meal, a young boy and a waiter stood near the railing and threw bread for the turtles. that was fun to watch!

We have gone here a bunch through the years. I honestly can’t believe I haven’t written a review until now. This place has decent food. The staff is usually good and attentive. No reservations are required. Outdoor seating overlooks the golf course. Inside can get really loud. Many Lakeway people come here to drink at the bar. Our last meal there was good all around. I got my normal which is the Pasta Rocco with shrimp. I started with the Wedge salad. It is ok. I have had better but it isn’t bad. My husband got the Capellini Mia. He seemed to enjoy it. I wish the staff would shut down some of the people. The do tend to get drunk and loud. That is my main complaint of the place. Maybe they over server or maybe it is the type of people that come here. Come on a week night and you can have a nice meal with your family. Weekends are a bit different.
