Went to the one on 6&guadalupe. Paid $ 5 for a sorry slice of pepperoni. Extremely expensive for a disappointing tasting average sized slice of pizza

No prices were listed on the truck(I went to the one at 6th and Guadalupe, but it’s not listed on Unilocal). That’s always a warning sign, but I figured the price couldn’t be more than $ 3-$ 4 so I ordered a veggie pizza slice. Big mistake. They stick the pizza in the oven to warm it up and then ring up my total: $ 5.25! For 1 slice of pizza. Ridiculous. Since they already put my pizza in the oven to warm it up, I paid the ridiculous fee. When I got my pizza slice, it still wasn’t hot, or even warm. On top of that, it really was a horrible slice of pizza. While I should’ve asked the price before ordering and then walked away, the fact remains that the pizza I had was a) ridiculously expensive, b) room temperature, and c) horrible.

Such great pizza and ready in a flash. The pizza was not at all greasy. And the slice has huge. Perfect after a night of drinking!

Worst pizza I’ve ever had. I went to the truck thinking that I’d have a caloric splurge, and it was horrible. I was blown away by the huge thick crust with the raw dough still prevalent in the middle. The dudes in the truck were unphased by my feedback regarding the quality of their product. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else.

Whats a betterway to soak up the alcohol after a long night? I’d have to say Roppolo’s pizza is a good start. Nothing fancy about this food truck pizza. The crust is thin, but not crispy. The sauce is good and not piled on. And choose your toppings of choice. The best way I cab describe it, its the kind of pizza the ninja turtles loved, or at least thats how I imagined it. It serves its purpose for a late night, pick me up meal.

Was craving a slice of pizza, so got a pepperoni slice from here. It was fine drunk food but not pizza I’ll go back for.

Godsend at 3a in the morning, but by no means was the pizza good. If it wasn’t 3a… i’d seriously think twice about having this somewhat tasteless, doughy crusted pizza.

Last Friday was my first experience at Roppolo’s Pizzeria and I was very impressed! The food was amazing with an equally amazing staff! It is clear why Roppolo’s reputation is 5 star! There is no doubt the owner is passionate about the quality of his food and bringing real NY style pizza and other Italian dishes to Austin! The next catered event I have, I will be calling on Marc(owner) to plan a menu with me. Thanks for all you do Roppolos!

I cannot say enough about Marc Roppolo and his pizza. I am a wedding planner and we recently did an event where we catered the Roppolo’s trailer over to Lustre Pearl bar to serve pizza at the wedding. Marc was such a joy to work with! He went way above and beyond for us, and I truly hope I get the opportunity to work with him again in the near future. He is truly passionate about the food that he makes, and about the relationships he has with his clients. He made the whole process from booking him, to pulling up the trailer completely easy and painless. He is one of the most joyful people I have ever met. Not to mention that the pizza was unbelievable. THe slices were HUGE! His servers were extremely friendly and willing to make the guests any pizza they wanted! Everyone was raving about how great the pizza was all night long. I highly recommend Roppolo’s to anyone looking for a great caterer for the wedding or event, or for anyone just looking for a really amazing piece of pizza– their crust is unreal!

I love it! Big slices and the sauce is truly authentic. Late at night it will save your a*% and during the day you will still find it to be delicious, not too heavy, and truly satisfying!

mediocre pizza sober, best pizza ever if you’re drunk and it’s 2AM. Prices a little high for a slice, if you got enough people with you opt for the whole pizza it’s way cheaper and huge.

Don’t think I was drunk enough to really enjoy this pizza. To me it was cold and dry tasting. But if I am ever wasted out of my mind in that area of downtown, I am sure I’ll give it another try! Dr. Fredo, however, thought it was the best pizza ever. That is until I slapped him around and made him remember my homemade Sicilian pizza. Three stars for Roppolo’s for doing a public service just off 4th street and getting food into the stomachs of drunk people! Nice heat lamp out there too.

While there are plenty of late-night drunk food choices on 6th street, they are harder to come by on 4th street. It was smart that Roppoli’s opened a pizza stand on 4th and Colorado(next to Frank) as it’s unlikely that many people partying in that area are going to stumble over to its 6th street locations for a slice. I was in that predicament on Friday night when I ordered up a cheese slice from Roppolo’s cart.
Now I understand that it’s more difficult to cook pizza in a food stand. You can barely throw the pizza dough a couple inches in the air, it’s hard to fit a big oven in there, etc. I sympathize. So I’m not looking for a fantastic slice out of a food stand — just one that will satisfy the hunger pains and pacify the 40% of taste buds that weren’t dulled by the alcohol. But this was the worst slice I’ve had in my life and I’d estimate my lifetime total to be in the vicinity of 3,000 slices(I grew up in the NY area). The slice suffered from 3rd degree freezer burns. If the founder of cryogenics tasted this slice, Walt Disney wouldn’t be a Waltsicle right now. If the producer of Encino Man tasted this slice, it would’ve been a horror film(instead of a horrible film). If… well, you get the idea. And the slice was $ 3.75?! Really? I guess you have to charge that high when you don’t get repeat customers… (Note: I don’t remember the last time I ate at Roppolo’s 6th street location but I remember it being an okay slice. This might’ve been an off night but — honestly — this slice was so bad that it didn’t warrant the benefit of the doubt)
