Shaved Ice Island

We love it here.
Very delicious and it’s right next door.
My kid and I come here all the time in skates, or on bikes!
Just so much fun getting there and refreshing oursells with shaved ice!

We have gone to Shaved Ice Island multiple times for snow cones and recently rented them for a neighborhood National Night Out event. With the rental, we got 50 free cool sized snow cones with all flavors available. I got an email after the event that since we didn’t use all of our free 50, we are welcome to come by with a small group and get the free cones they «owe» us! Rahul is friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely keep them in mind again for a large event!

Best Shaved Ice and reminded me of snow cones we used to have back home… I love their Mango Lassi, My son likes Orange Cream… Best treat in Texas heat… Service is great too. They also offer stamp card and you get a free one after 10 stamps…

Best snow cones I’ve ever had. Friendly service, picnic tables, and some really good shaved ice. Try the gourmet options for an extra buck. Can’t go wrong!

The wife had the piña colada with cream and loved it, I tried it and it had a little too much cream for my tastes. I had the lemonade, which was pretty bad. It almost had a menthol taste to it. The size is pretty good for the price. She loves shaved ice, so we’ll probably be back. I’ll have to try something else next time.

This place is so freaking amazing!
The flavors this place turns out are unreal, it IS NOT A SNOW CONE! There are no chunks of ice or plain flavors, this is an experience that will need to be tried to really understand.
My co-​work was telling me about it and I really didn’t sound thrilled to eat a snow cone, because to the untrained eye that is what this places looks like. Once you try it though you will realize that is not what it is. You have to try the horchada or the mango dilly and make sure you are sitting down when you do or it will bring you to your knees.
The owner is the friendliest person and is living the American dream, doing his own thing and doing it better then anyone else. He was giving us free samples and after I spilled my daughters shaved ice he brought us another one. Dude is just kicking some booty. He is making a product that makes the unbearable, hot, humid summers melt away like the ice cold blend of fruit flavors and ice cream he turns out to happy customers.

Super-​awesome service. They even let you sample flavors, which is good since they have a gourmet menu on the side that is unreal… cucumber-​lime? SO effing refreshing!
If a regular flavor is your thing they have plenty of those too. Prices are a little higher than other stands/​trucks ($ 4 for a medium) but the larger the size, the more extras you get, like a topping (gummi bears?).
A generous syrup our and plenty of ice. Conveniently parked in the front corner of Westgate Lanes bowling alley.
Bonus: They have a frequent customer stamp card. Way cool.

Best shaved ice I’ve ever had!
I live pretty close to the new truck location and I love to go get shaved ice after a long run. They have so many creative and delicious flavors. I try a new one ever time I go and have not been disappointed yet! They have dessert-​like flavors like ‘chocolate covered cherry’, ‘mango lassi’, and ‘horchata’ (which are currently my favorites) but they also have classic flavors too. I love the toppings that you can add to give it that something extra and make it your own.
The staff is always really friendly and helpful and it’s fun to have a place to sit outside with friends. Play a game of corn hole with friends while you snack!

First off– this is my favorite shaved ice truck ever! They have great flavors, wonderful service and gourmet snowcones.
We hired them for a joint birthday party for my son and our neighbor’s son. They were so professional and great with the kids. They were amazing at suggesting flavors for the adults. I always get the same thing but I tried the cucumber lime (made with real ingredients) since they suggested it and it was AMAZING! Looking for any excuse to book them again. It was my sons favorite birthday party.

A spontaneous stop here for a cold treat was the best idea I’ve had all day. No hard ice pellets with sticky syrup here; the shaved ice was smooth, and they offer all the classics plus so much more — and they even have toppings to try. A must try if you’re already suffering in the summer heat. I had the Piña Colada topped with real coconut shavings, and it was amazing! (Could only have been tastier if it had the alcohol in it.) The service was friendly, and I can’t wait to use the frequent buyer’s card!
P. S. Plus for parents: there’s a nice picnic table and a bean bag toss game.

Love this place. It has a flavor called tiger blood. It is great. Prices are fair and they have a place to park and benches to just sit and relax. Watch the world go by. It is a place that you have to try at least once.

LOVE Shaved Ice Island!!! The flavors are great and they have the BEST toppings. They’ve got my old standby blue coconut, out of this world mango (seriously, it’s soooo good!), and different ice creams I can pick from. Did I forget to mention the sour worms? That’s my favorite topping.
On top of that, they have interesting gourmet combos to try when I’m feeling adventurous. I was a little nervous and tried the cucumber lime gourmet combo and it’s actually super refreshing!!! I want to try all of the flavors now. Except for maybe the Freezing Fire challenge!
I’ve never had anything I don’t like. You can tell they really care about making their customers happy. I love that about local businesses.
Oh and there are picnic tables to sit at, Hawaiian music playing when I went, and there’s a customized cornhole game too! A very cool, fun, relaxing vibe.

Favorite shaved ice in Austin! There are so many flavors and I’ve never been disappointed, plus the owner is super chill and deals with me not being able to make up my mind.
My favorite topping so far is a mixture of Nerds and gummy worms — trust me, you need this. I’ve yet to try the more nontraditional flavors like pickle juice but have liked everything I’ve tried. Usually I’m not a big orange + cream fan but the dreamsicle flavor here is refreshing and light.
Also love the atmosphere and music — such a laid back place to get your shaved ice on. :) I’ll definitely be back all summer!
