It’s 10:10 am the door says they open at 10 am. The doors are locked. The lights are on. They just lost a good sale. My boyfriend loves western wear and I was just about to go buy him a bunch of stuff. Guess I’ll take my business somewhere else. Sad.

I’m not huge into the modern– country girl look, but after my husband bought me the most perfect pair of boots from Sheplers, I decided I needed some blinged out jeans to wear with them :-D We took a trip here when my parents were in town, this being my second trip. And I was impressed both times by the wonderful customer service. All the employees greet you with a nice, sweet smile and are more than willing to help you with your needs. The prices may be a little high to some, but note, there always seems to be some type of in store or online sale going on! Their selection of women’s blinged out jeans is fairly large-it took me quite a while to work my way through it all. But I enjoy having lots of options! As I was searching, I didn’t come across any 24s in jeans(what I normally wear) but the 25s fit perfectly — I mention this as a heads up to other petite females out there. My father also found his perfect pair of boots from their large selection. My dad was a little worried about how tight the boots felt on the sides of the foot and was concerned about the boots rubbing his feet… but the nice gentlemen helping him, explained that they would stretch over time. To ease my dad’s concern, the employee offered to take them in back and stretch them out right there for my dad(after purchase of course). We appreciated the immediate assistance, as my parents were only in town for a few days. Overall, I love this place. I love my boots and my jeans! I will definitely be back for another pair of blinged jeans… or maybe some jean shorts for the summer!

Superb customer service, conveniently located in Southpark Meadows, on your way to the Spec’s(where you’re all headed, I know). Why not stop off and grab a new pair of boots, or some Rock ‘N Roll Cowgirl’s? This wonderful place provides a unique intersection between traditional(and modern) westernwear and tattooed hipster culture(that loves those western snap-button shirts). One tip: always has 10 and 20% off sales on the full selection of products. Free shipping on boots. And you can return everything to the store and not pay return shipping.

My daughter and I spent a long day of wedding shopping on Saturday. Went to the store looking for clothes for her groom. Employees thought it was more important to stand around talking with their friends than to help customers on the prowl. We left the store and decided to spend our money in other locations. Too bad I can’t give this place zero stars! Saddest part about this is, we’ve been Shepler’s shoppers for over 20 years!

The store seemed clean and mostly in order so I’ll give it 1 star for that. The kid in the sales department who sold me straight-leg jeans when I strictly asked him for boot-cut jeans tanked the next 2 stars. I was in a hurry and needed some boot-cut jeans so I could wear them that night at an event. FAIL!!! I mean, REALLY?!? A sales associate at a western clothing store doesn’t know what boot-cut jeans are??? Shouldn’t that be a question you ask in the interview? Then when I complain at the counter the next day when I return them I don’t get one word from the manager. She just unfolded the jeans, looked at the straight-leg, folded them back and said nothing. Not a single word. She just let the clerk process the return without offering an apology an explanation… nothing. What kind of people do you have running this place? The manager could have saved at least 1 star by making some kind of empathetic statement but she couldn’t even manage a pip or even a cough. A sniffle even? Clearing of the throat? A belch? Something? Time for a house-cleaning or at least some effective retraining of the watch…

Went to Austin on business, and the business quickly turned into buying boots. I had seen a pair online that I coveted, and the only place that had them, and in my size too, was Sheplers in Southpark. The young salesgirl who waited on me was friendly, helpful and funny, and I was happy to be able to get the lovely boots I wanted. As soon as I got home, I ordered two more pairs(different ones). The online/phone order experience was equally excellent. Am looking forward to buying more.

Took my elderly father– in– law to buy a pair of boots at the Southpark Meadows location. He has a visual disability and is frail. Rick waited on him and was extremely helpful as my FIL had a hard time getting that first boot on. Rick was very kind and patient. He also assisted him with the purchase of a straw hat. While this was going on I selected a pair of jeans. I’ve been shopping at Sheplers since the 70’s and have usually had good experiences. This was a cut above the usual for which we are grateful. Thanks to Rick and a pleasant check out by Wendy.

Wish the store was bigger like the other up in North Austin is but still, nice to have at least something. I also like their 25% and 30% coupons I get from them too. Going off my girlfriend, she likes the staff there, always asking if any help is needed, compared to a couple Cavendar’s she has been to and ignored completely. Their boot selection isn’t all that much unfortuntley but I’m also looking for a bit more unique boots.
