They always have fast, friendly service at the drive-thru window. This location is very convenient for early morning visits. My only complaint is the donuts themselves. They tend to be very sweet and unsatisfying. It feels like there is just a bunch of processed sugar thrown into the icing instead of things that will actually make it taste good. The kiddo loves the overly sweet, so can’t complain too much.

Love eating donuts here. It’s always freshly made so it tastes really good. Staffs are very friendly and price is fair. Highly recommended!

Let me be clear and say that Shipley’s donuts have always been my favorite and the donuts here are good. However, I was here today and treated rudely by some of the employees. I ordered boudin kolaches and was given plain ones instead. Perhaps I don’t pronounce«boudin» correctly, but I know that it didn’t sound like the word«plain». I said it 3 separate times. They still could not seem to grasp that I wasn’t ordering plain. One of the employees who was not even present when I ordered, told me that I had ordered plain kolaches and was in disbelief that I ordered boudin. Why am I so upset about this? Because I’m fairly certain they assumed I ordered plain because of my ethnicity and also wrongly assumed that I don’t eat meat. Someone else, whom I assume was the manager appeared to collect the extra money I owed without an apology or even an acknowledgement of the mistake on their part. To his credit, the original person who took my order did apologize. I tried to be certain it wasn’t confusion because he couldn’t hear me well. He said«No, I could hear you. I’m sorry» Before posting this, I tried to call the store and speak with the manager directly. I heard him rudely tell the employee«I’m busy. I don’t talk to anyone on the phone. You explain that to her» and was then told by the employee that there was no manager available to speak to me and asked if I’d like to call back. No, I don’t think I would. I am unlikely to ever go back to this Shipley’s which is a shame. From the tone of the manager’s voice that I heard in the background, I’m sure he won’t care and it won’t hurt his business at all, but I just want others to be aware of this.

This is BYFAR the best donut shop in Cedar Park. We’ve recently moved from the area but this morning drove in just for these donuts. I don’t know what they do differently. We’ve tried numerous donut shops around us, some were even Shipleys and they still didn’t compare. When we lived in C.P. we came in every Sunday. Donuts were always fresh and the people were friendly and fast. This almost feels like a mom and pop shop and I love it. Brandon and his crew know what they are doing. If you want fresh donuts and kolaches with tons of variety, come here!!!

I came by this morning for my weekly Saturday morning kolache + glazed donuts and I just had throw a little love to the guy who helped me out at the drive thru window! [It was about 10:20 am, bald gentleman in a red shirt.] Although yall were crazy busy, you were funny & helpful. You certainly started my Saturday off with a smile! Great customer service!!!

I can’t believe that it has been almost 5 years since I posted a review of this place. Have you tried the boudin kolache? Oh, you need to try one of these. They have a classic, chicken and rice variety and a spicy pork boudin. Both are delicious. You know what I really like about this place? The staff are fantastic. Brandon and team are always on spot for the morning rush. They work well together, communicate constantly and work hard to get happy customers in and out the door as quickly as possible. Good donuts, great people, easy and inexpensive. That makes it easy to stop in every so often and pick up something for the office.

This will be the last time I go to the Shipleys near Davis Springs. They have royally messed our orders multiple times. I finally had enough and called the store. I believe the manager or owner Brandon is who I spoke with. He is incredibly rude and this is not the first time he has been rude. Other employees at the store are nice.

I was just reading Shane’s review from Feb 14 and I realized I must have had that guy too! My husband and I went inside and were given the eye-rolling and attitude by a man who kept informing us we didn’t know the difference between donuts and pastries. I don’t care what you want to call them. Just put the items we ask for in the box or bag or whatever you want! The products we collected were all good and we do plan to go back but we haven’t been back for more than a month because of the spanking we got ASFIRSTTIMECUSTOMERS. I’m afraid we did not get a pamphlet or any kind of material to study for our next visit. I think we were mostly surprised by the remarks because when we go to Round Rock Donuts we order all kinds of things in odd numbers and they just tell us how much and say thank you. See you soon Grumpy Man!

I wanted send my sincere hope that the older gentleman manning the drive through window today gets his nap or a hug. Maybe he got up too early to make the donuts? I was pretty much told I don’t know the technical difference between a donut and a pastry for the purpose of ordering. He’s right. I don’t. Before my education begins, he interrupts my initial order and asks if I want a customized order of six donuts as he is being impatient… I think«sure» even though I’m going to order five, but I’ll add an extra. I like donuts. He immediately begins to incorrectly relay my order to some fearful looking poor soul. So, I ask him to please change it to what we started with. I get to cinnamon twists and it appears that I had made the deadliest of bakery faux pas. Cinnamon twists are not donuts apparently. OK… still happy to pay either way but clearly I have poked the bear(claw). As I wrap my order up, I hear him grumble…“I can’t teach the whole world the difference between donuts and pastries”. Now I know and it will never happen again. Thank you, sir. I can only hope that when my blood sugar crashes from eating too many delicious donuts I can be this caring and informative.

Love that this place is so close to home! It’s always easy getting in and out, and I think they have a happy variety of donuts.

Brandon was amazing! We were in a pinch for a large office order and he was more than accommodating! We showed up early to pick them up and he was so nice! He gave us a few donuts to nibble on while we waited! And of course the donuts and kolaches themselves are so amazing!!!

I feel bad for places that serve primarily«sweet» things, as I feel that I can’t give a very fair review. First off, I’m really sensitive to sweet foods.(As in, I don’t particularly sweet stuff.) I work about a mile from here, so my office picks up donuts from Shipley’s all the time. They’re definitely a crowd-pleaser, and my office loves them. I like their glazed donuts the most — moist, fluffy, and not sickeningly sweet. I’ve also liked their coconut-topped donuts and the strawberry iced ones. The other day, I tried a cinnamon sugar donut, and it was just way too sweet for me and I couldn’t finish it. So, my friends and co-workers love Shipley’s. I like them because their employees are nice and helpful, and they have a good variety and are an instant hit when I bring them to work. I’m not giving Shipley’s 3 stars because they’re doing anything wrong(they’re doing everything right!) — I’m just not a huge donut/sweets fan. Shipley’s is definitely A-OK in my book.

AREYOUKIDDINGME? What a freaking donut! By far the most delicious buttermilk donut I’ve ever eaten. While visiting Austin last week, we found out about Shipley’s, and this location happened to be up the road from where we were staying. I got a blueberry cake donut and my boyfriend got a regular donut with pink icing and sprinkles. I took a bite of my donut and couldn’t believe the taste and texture. I actually said«oh my god!» Out loud. The kitchen is enclosed in glass, so you can see the entire operation. I’ve never seen a kitchen so clean! I am ServSafe certified and I was extremely impressed. The kitchen was SPOTLESS. And everything was so nice and organized. My only disappointed is that I didn’t get a chance to go back and bring home a dozen donuts. Next time, for sure!

After a few years of careful consideration and tastings for science, Shipley is amazing. Just get one of each, it’s the best donuts in town.

Dry cold donuts are not worth being treated like trash — the customer service here ruined my morning today. The guy behind the counter was a jerk and talked to me like I was an idiot just because I didn’t know that cinnamon rolls weren’t considered a part of the donut section. The kolache was mediocre at best and that cinnamon roll that wasn’t a part of the donuts section — somehow both soggy and dried out at the same time, along with cloyingly sweet icing that tasted like it came from a can. Never coming back here. I’d rather drive a bit more to find a place that doesn’t ruin my morning with their bad attitude.

Came in this morning with my family, and this location is our first time ever trying Shipley Donuts and everyone in the staff group is very happy. And puts the happy mood in us for eating donuts this morning. To top it off they have specials every morning on their kolaches which are really good and they have great choices on them, because I’m not a cheese fan so I was able to get just a sausage kolaches unlike other places. My boyfriend had gotten a large coke and they also offer free refills when you dine in. We will definitely be coming here more often! Great experience on the first visit!

Got to love these do-nuts! Always fresh and tasty. The price is perfect and the variety is amazing! My personal favorite is the apple fritters. They should be illegal they are so good. If you get there early enough they are still warm with a crunchy crispy outside and a goofy warm inside!!! MAGIC!!! Friendly staff that get you what you need with a smile.

Ummm yummy! Customer service needs improvement and they need to learn some basic sales skills. I don’t think the donuts are worth the lack of customer service so I’ll be going elsewhere. They definitely get 4 stars for yummy donuts.

Went again on 12⁄21 for my son’s birthday because he LOVES some doughnuts! We ordered half a dozen glazed, a couple kolaches and an OJ. My husband(mr. cheapo) was surprise at how cheap it was. We actually sat inside to eat at my 2 yo’s request. When I asked the guy we ordered from if the glazed were hot, he politely said, more warm than hot. They were plenty warm and yummy! As we sat there eating off napkins and my son making a huge mess, the manager came by and apologized for not giving us baskets and gave us a couple. Yeah, he probably didn’t like the mess, but he didn’t mention it. I feel bad for a couple of the bad reviews… like who expects a large donut selection at 11am? And please go inside instead of the drive thru for any place you have never been or don’t know what you want.

I love donuts. They are one of the few things in life that make me heart eyes. This was the second time I’ve had Shipley and they seriously never disappoint. I came in at 6am because I couldn’t sleep and I kept thinking about Bavarian Cream donuts, logically I hauled ass and made it there in less than 10 minutes. It was too early to be busy but I could tell they would be soon. I got 2 bavarian cream, 1 raspberry filled, 1 crunchy and 2 glazed. I didn’t really have a game plan for what I wanted and was pretty sure I annoyed the girl behind the counter because of my indecisiveness. Anyways, the donuts were great. The bavarian cream was on point, the raspberry was delicious and the the crunchy one was still warm. Honestly, I like Shipley because of the soft fluff factor that each donut has. I wish I had investigated/paid more attention to how the cream tasted! Shipley is a little overly sweet but donuts are supposed to be sweet! This is definitely going to be my new to go spot!
