Software Advice

Our non-​profit used their assistance in evaluating a donor management system and we were very pleased with the objective assistance that Software Advice provided. They did a lot of the work of lining up potential vendors that would best match our needs. I would certainly use them again if we were ever had to evaluate software options.

I contacted them to get software advice. They provided my information to a lot of software vendors that seem to be very minor players. I have been overwhelmed with calls and emails for 3 weeks since making the call. I received no advice, just wound up with my contact info going all over the place. I strongly recommend you do not use this service.

Software Advice is VERY BAD with leads. They only care about $$$ and not Customer Service so be careful because you will get Ripped Off — I understand sometimes issues arise and they WILL NOT be flexible and will never give you a REFUND for misleading you or mistakes. I would AVOID this company at all costs — look at other options! This is a true testimonial from experience working with them!

Software Advice is hidden treasure! I literally stumbled on this service and it was probably the highlight of my week. I filled out an easy form online and within minutes, one of the advisers, Jill, called me and we chatted about what my needs were. In 15 minutes she came up with a short list of software companies that could be a fit for my organization’s size, solution needs, and time frame. Almost all software companies called me that same day to set up time to talk and see if we were a match. I would highly recommend this service to any who is the researcher for software solutions at any organization small or large. Quick and painless! Our agency is in the beginning stages of researching available electronic medical record systems and Software Advice and their team, especially Jon Schultz were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in starting this process. They recommended a number of good options as starting places for us to look into and from there we were able to make contact with EHR vendors that were exactly what we were looking for. This process was easy, virtually effortless and I would definitely recommend Software Advice to other customers.

I needed to switch from Greenway Primesuite as it was getting increasing expensive without the promised features. I was asking my collegues and the systems they have all have flaws that i cannot tolerate. It was by random chance that i hit the link to software advice. They listened to what i want in a system and came up very good options. I quickly decided to go with one of their recommendations. There will not be a perfect software. But i needed a system with issues that I can tolerate and work around. So SoftWare advice saved my sanity and time so i can focus more on my clients

Beyond frustrating. VERY Aggressive! I dont understand it!
We are very happy to buy high quality leads and pay a good price for a good service.
They claim THEY screen calls.
Thinking outloud — «I wonder if the owners Gartner, analysts do the screening in their day to day client interactions. Then pass the leads back. Something odd is happening.»
How can a screened calls purposely designed to reduce poor quality result in:
— 46% were annoyed or had no intention of buying or changing
— 11% were radio silent and you could yield no response
Our issue is that on $ 10k+ spend. Thats a WHOPPING 57% failure rate or $ 5,700 down the toilet less than 2 months. I dont really care about the money. I do care about:
1. Whats promised vs whats delivered
2. The arrogance and aggressive nature of the supplier — (I thought I was the client :-)
I get that the leads are sold to up-​to 5 vendors. Our process, product and reps are on their game. But radio silence and angry people is very odd.
But then if they sell «57% poor quality lead 5 times» — who’s the mug. Especially when their terms bind you in
I was enraged… I wanted to share my experience. I thought I was the odd one out. Looking at these reviews NO WAY!

So… after a lengthy exercise of my very best reasoning, presentation of quality data and request for investigation. I was met with waffle and finally this.
«XXX is cc’d here and is still waiting for an update on when we should expect payment. The balance from January is due in full. If your response is to continue to dispute this, please expect that our collection process in these situations is aggressive, and we will involve a third-​party if necessary».
When you chose to partner these guys — this what to expect. I hope you get an easier ride and that we are the exception.

From an end user perspective its nice to have someone suggest a starting point with 3 platforms!

Software Advice takes most of the legwork out of finding qualified businesses for our product. The fact that they personally qualify each lead over the phone saves us a lot of time in the sales process. We get targeted, interested businesses who we can immediately begin working with.

Should be called «Bad Software Advice». I used these guys for a month and they ran up the bill sending me poorly qualified so called «Leads» (at $ 70 a pop thank you very much). Most of the leads wouldn’t even take calls, and when they did most didn’t even seem interested in they type of software they supposedly were looking for. Some were outright frauds. Hey if you’re a software provider, stay clear of these characters, they’ll put brackets on your ROI and color it red if you know what I mean.

This is a very frustrating company to work with. If you follow up on a lead who does not return phone calls or emails, but the lead contacts Software Advice for Vendor selection assistance again later, Software Advice will charge you again for the same lead, unless you have attempted contact in the past 3-​months. Basically, you have to keep the lead open in your pipeline forever.
They are also very stingy about refunding a lead, once the lead is determined not to be even be a remotely close fit.
Information is often incorrect. I’ve received leads with incorrect city names, zip codes, company names, etc. I have to waste valuable sales-​calling time doing a Google search to get the correct information.
If you can find another lead generation solution, run!

Gave my information to tons of spammers and vendors. Did not give them permission to do so. Horrible company — avoid at all costs.

Ugh, terrible company. They won’t take your needs seriously and cannot make genuine recommendations. Do your own research and skip these amateurs! They just want money.

I’m confident Software Advice sold my contact info to other agencies too. I started receiving daily calls/​advertisements the day after I used their service. As far as the quality of their service; I didn’t realize any value.
Next time I need software advice, I’m going to stick to Google searches.
