SPI Study Abroad

If you’re concerned about selecting a program, I can 100% recommend SPI. They were so thorough with the arrangements that I could focus my time on learning Spanish and exploring San Sebastian (in that order). They connected me with a wonderful host-​family (we still talk often).

My experience in Biarritz with SPI changed my life! I have to admit I wanted a study abroad program for the fun, but once I arrived I realized there was much more to it!
I have traveled outside the US multiple times with my family, but always stayed at hotels, sheltered from the «real world» during this program I stayed with an awesome family who not only helped with my French, but also helped me take in every aspect of the culture. I feel I have a second family in France! The school was very good too!
The program was easy on my, my school, and my parents. I felt really safe at all times, and never felt lost or intimidated thanks to the amount of information provided by SPI.

I had returned from a 2 ½ month trip traveling through Peru and Ecuador and went to Austin to visit a friend I met during the trip. We had been discussing the desire to be able to speak Spanish fluently and she ended up introducing me to Jeremy, who owns the SPI Study Abroad program.
I was instantly impressed with his offer to speak some Spanish with me and gently correct my many mistakes. He is warm, kind, has a GREAT sense of humor, he is passionate about his business and this guy can speak Spanish as well as a native born Spanish speaker! He has a keen business sense and a passion for helping people learn another language. After an hour speaking with him I felt as if we were long lost friends who had been reunited.
