I’m sure if you’re staying at the W this place is convenient and fine. There’s nothing better than a Starbucks location right at your hotel. I work in a nearby office building. My complaint is mainly with the weird, indifferent way this location treats customers. If you’re just visiting you wouldn’t know this. I usually go to another coffee shop but sometimes you just want something only Starbucks has. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about and this is a pretty typical experience. There’s two people in line, maybe two people waiting on food or drinks. You walk to the register; about to order. The barista(who is at the register) wheels right around and walks off without a word. No «be with you in a minute». No nothing. It’s like«you don’t even exist to me right now». It seems like it’s no one’s job to just mind the register? Different day. Walk in, no one is in line. Stand at the register for three minutes waiting. Barista finally walks to the register, no greeting, wheels around and walks off. This is a constant thing and it’s really irritating. I’ve never been to another Starbucks that operates like this. Getting your order in is like trying to find a salesperson at Best Buy. Today. Walk in. One person in line. I wait behind her. She leaves. I walk to the register. You want to guess? Barista wheels around… you get the picture. I waited three minutes at the register until a different barista rolled up and… offered to take the order of the woman in line behind me. I know this sounds nit-picky but when people turn their back in your face like 5 or 6 times, you feel a little unappreciated as a customer. They’re also strangely slow and inefficient given the volume of business but I could forgive that if they weren’t so rude. I’m not out to bash Starbucks. 99.5% of Starbucks are fine. Ideally I wouldn’t go back, but sometimes you just want Starbucks even if it’s painful and irritating to get.

I’m getting really tired of people taking my coffee. They take your name when you place your order, but then they don’t call a name, and by the time you get to the bar to pick it up, someone else has taken it. You have to stand there and watch and wait to get it. Not good enough.

Love this Starbucks location(almost as much as I love Starbucks!). It’s always clean and the staff is friendly. I’ve never had to wait in line very long here and my drink has come out quickly each time. One of my biggest complains with some locations is how understaffed they seem — I don’t feel like this is the case at all here.

This place is pretty standard fare as far as Starbucks are concerned. The people are nice and the location is convenient. Likewise it is sizable and well-lit with plenty of seating. As a profoundly un-picky coffee consumer, I’ll take my crackffiene however I can get it — even from«the man»(as far as coffee circles go).

As good as it gets. The line was short this morning, and the coffee was hot. Love this place.

This is a large Starbucks and you shouldn’t have a problem finding a place to sit. The artwork and atmosphere in here is incredible… this is the best decorated Starbucks I’ve ever been inside… and when I snapped a picture the barista said no pictures allowed — I guess they don’t want this secret getting out? Well, come see it for yourself… oh they do have a Clover press. I’m sipping on a venti Yukon.

Anyone who knows me knows I HATE Starbucks. It’s an overcrowded and overly popular gathering place for crappy coffee and macbooks. However, this location was surprisingly lovely and spacious. I needed some wifi as I was staying at the W, and was really pleased with the complimentary wifi, super friendly cashiers and baristas, and the overall décor. Nice place to hang out and great location in downtown. Probably the only Starbucks I sort of like :)

THISISTHEBESTSTARBUCKS I’VEEVERBEENIN! Tons of seating, high ceilings, cool architecture and art work. High tables, cushy chairs, multiple bars, tons of room. Best latte I’ve had in a while, they even knew the difference between sauce and syrup! I will be back.

This is the best Starbucks I have ever been to. They spent a lot of time and money hiring local craftsmen to build the art for the inside. The store has been open 2 years(I think?) and people still don’t know about it. It’s a Starbucks, so there’s not a whole lot to talk about… they do have 2 clover machines, though. As well as a lot of table and counter space. Great for working!

This is the most beautiful Starbucks I’ve seen. There’s a somewhat similar location in Soho(NYC) but this one takes the industrial meets outdoors beauty to a whole new level. Even if the baristas were terrible, I’d be in love — however, the two that were working the evening I visited with my husband were two of the friendliest, funniest and happiest Starbucks employees I’ve encountered. This was a perfect little stop before heading home after a date night downtown. Side note: they may own the only seriously clean bathroom I’ve seen downtown.

This is hands down my favorite Starbucks location. The baristas are very kind and respectful. The store is huge and has a plethora of seating options. The ambience is conducive for studying and/or working. If you haven’t been to this location, I would highly recommend you do so. You won’t regret it!

By far my favorite location. Roomy store, great attentive service from Teresa. She took the time to explain there store concept behind the republic branding. I really enjoy the coffee quality from the clover machine. It’s a little pricey for just a black coffee but a lite indulgence is good for the soul.

Great service. Clover brewer. Special coffee. I think this place is like heaven. I love that the batista asks if I want to participate in a coffee tasting. Don’t go to the other Clover store on 183. The batista is unknowable and makes the $ 5 coffee not worth it. Come here!

I’m really against bad Unilocal reviews, but the staff at this Starbucks deserves it. While in the middle of taking my order, the barista turns around without saying a word and walks away. Once I realize no one is listening, I got someone else’s attention and the girl that actually did take my order was snarky and rolled her eyes. Just the way I love my latte in the morning, with a whole bunch of negative energy and an attitude. Boo, Starbucks, your new café may look pretty, but your baristas are awful. I’m so disappointed. If this shop is going to be under the W, they need to be operating with a higher level of customer service. I won’t be back and will spread the word to my friends downtown.

Come try it for the«Reserve» blends that no other store in Austin has if nothing else. Tons of comfortable seating, super fast Google wifi(unlike the usual molasses AT&T) and hyper clean bathrooms too!
