Pizza gets 3 stars. Service gets 1 star and a big shame on the girl cashier wearing black and white polka dotted nails. I gave a ten for a four dollar slice of pizza. Was staring to the left while she got my change and then felt something brushing my face. I look over to see cash feathering my beard and then cashier slam my change on the window sill. She said, «your change almost blew away». I Was taken aback and stared blankly as the cook nearby laughed his ass off at me for the entire duration of her retrieving my slice. She handed me the slice and I was excited to leave the situation when she asked why I was upset and explained without provocation that she was doing me a favor and I had almost lost my change. I told her yes, I guess I was upset that she put the cash IN my face, to which she replied, well you weren’t paying attention. I tried to not engage with her and just walk away, but later as I was eating the pizza I happened to look her way from fifteen feet over as she was«helping» other customers and she decided to yell over to me and repeated that she had helped me earlier. I thanked her for her looking out and apologized for not paying attention earlier, but the more I think about it the more I feel that she was behaving maliciously and the cook was turning the blind eye if not instigating her discourteous discourse.

WORSTSERVICE! Here’s the thing: If you set up a pizza truck at 2:00 am at the end of Rainey street, you did this to yourself. A lot of yelling, a lot of «F yous» just over all terrible customer service. Unless you’re about being talked to like you don’t have a brain in your head, I wouldn’t even consider this place. I don’t really understand why you would sign up for a job you don’t want — but whatever. Also, the pizza is, like, mediocre at best… Home Slice is MUCH better, but if you’re drunk just go to sixth street or get a $ 5 hot and ready. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was cravin some Ninja Turtle food and this place was nested right across the street from the venue we were gonna be at for the night. I came RIGHT as they were opening up for the evening and all he had was pepperoni(not my fav). However, a 4 dollar slice of pizza the size of a lawn mower tire is fine by me any day. It was really good. The sauce was sweet and the balance of cheese and other toppings was well thought out. The folks serving us were nice enough. There’s basically no seating in the immediate vicinity. They provide plenty of napkins, red peppers flakes and Parmesan cheese.

Great pizza and service the guy was really nice. Once again the pizza was great so if you’re out on 6th late night it is a MUST to stop and get a slice. Kinda glad we passed up all those other places to stop here. Best pizza I’ve had in a while!

For the Stony’s Pizza truck: 3 stars for the pricing, 2 stars for service: The staff isn’t very friendly and my pizza was undercooked. Don’t try asking for jalapenos on the side unless you want a side of snark with it too(and not the fun kind). I feel like they were a little skimpy on the pepperoni as well :/

Stony’s is my favorite slice in Austin and reminds me of pizza from back home in the northeast. Service is very friendly. Simple and delicious!

My boys had pizza from these guys today and it they said it was delicious. My son went back for seconds! And the prices are not bad at all at $ 3 a slice(which is pretty big) and $ 1 drinks. You really can’t beat that.

OMG… Awesome food guys! Great flavor, never had such amazing pizza, let alone out of a truck. Affordable isn’t the word, truly caviar on a beer budget. Thanks for coming to work! Hope you can be here every week.

Probably my favorite thin crust pizza from a food truck! Super convenient and super satisfying! I usually get the pepperoni and sausage. Highly recommend it ! Don’t forget to check in for 1 $ off a slice

What can I say? This beautiful red truck is churning out what has turned out to be my favorite slice of pizza in Austin. I have made it my mission to try as many as I can, especially in the downtown partying area and I just love their pizza way more than the others. Their pizza has the perfect crust with the right crunch and a nice chewiness that doesn’t hurt your jaw. The sauce is tangy and has all the right combination of spices doing their late night dance on your tongue. The cheese is meaty and nutty and has that beautiful aroma that quality cheeses get when put in the oven. Toppings are definitely on point here and a must try, but a classic cheese slice will not make you beg for more… until you look at your buddies topping pizza that is. You might find yourself asking for a bite. These guys are only there on the weekends late at night. They won’t always have the crazy lines that the other guys on 6th have, but that’s just due to people loving lines and having no idea that just a block down these guys create pies that blow those dudes out of the water. Now, I do realize that by writing this review I might change that a bit, but as a true Unilocaler I have vowed to be forthright and honest. Disclaimer. I am no fan of bbq pizza. In my opinion, that is no way to treat the sanctity of a beautiful creation. However, last night I was encouraged by one of the cooks at Stony to try their bbq chicken slice with onions and I must admit that it was a delicious treat and change of pace. Sweetened by the caramelized onions more than the sauce itself, it played nice on my delicate palate that is not too keen on sweet stuff when my mind thinks it should be salty. A tasty slice indeed. And to those that have bothered to read this far, a treat. You can check in on Unilocal and get a $ 1 off a slice by doing so! Very cool if you ask me. It renews itself every week it appears so that means you can save a little dough as you try theirs.

Hello folks, Consider this a warning about working with this truck! My experience with Stony’s is that they have been serving at my corporate office weekly for 1 year++. I have seen every thing done wrong at this truck from undercooking the pizza to smoking a cigarette in the trailer while serving. I have even seen a car come to stock the truck up with ingredients, and there was a dog riding in the back of the car WITHTHEINGREDIENTS. Aside from bad health practices, these guys are rude. This NY style pizza gets you NY style rudeness. The owner has argued with me over how many pizzas they had put out for a catering order, which they did not fully fill but were glad to charge me for a pizza that they did not provide. These pizzas are $ 20 for a large, which is standard in Austin, but only with 1 topping — this is unacceptable to me! Stony’s Pizza provides customers with the worst smelling Parmesan I have ever experienced. It literally smells like feet, we call it ‘feet Pizza’ and it stinks up the whole office. Sure, they may be $ 4 a slice, but it used to be $ 3, and that’s all I would ever hope to pay for a pizza this bad. Frankly, I’d rather get a $ 1 Economax frozen pizza. If you want great pizza in Austin, go try Little Deli, and if you want that pizza out of a truck, find Al Capriccio Pizzeria.

Had a fantastic sausage and pepp late night slice here after some Rainey Street fun. The crust was hot and crispy, there was a perfect cheese and sauce ratio. There are a lot of food truck options, but Stony’s offers great service and a quality product. I intend to visit Stony’s frequently once I am officially a Longhorn in the fall.
