Brian is the best. I’ve been biking in Austin for ten years and I’ve been to a lot of bike shops. I won’t go anywhere else for any kind of repairs now.

Brian was extremely formative, patient, and cost effective. I only wish that he did oil changes, air conditioning repairs, and all the other basic maintenance for which I feel I always get screwed!

I’m here in Austin for a little over week and you know how you go on business trips and over indulge on local cuisine? Well, that’s going to be a problem if I don’t add in some exercise. So, I found Streamline Cycles through Unilocal before I left for Austin and it turns out to be very conveniently located near my hotel. A short walk away. There was some dead time which allowed me to allocate a couple of hours for bike riding on a couple of days so I checked in at Streamline with Brian. Really nice guy by the way. He set me up with a nice bike that fit me and pointed out the local trail system along Lady Bird Lake. Off I went on the cool«Bike and Hike Trail» and the«Boardwalk Trail». I rented a bike for a half day and had a blast. I did have to call him to double check the route into E. Austin where he said there are interesting neighborhoods, mixture of new and old homes. Austin has a beautiful urban trail system. The next ride I took the same route but decided to visit the Texas state capitol on my way back. Shortly after my ride began it started to rain, nothing heavy and it was not cold. Still a very pleasant but damp ride. The bikes performed flawlessly, came with locks for the lunch and coffee stop and were perfect for the riding I was doing. Anyway, I have a few more days here and hope to have time carve out another ride. Streamline’s a great shop and there’s a nice burger spot next door for that pre-ride lunch. Thanks Brian!

Just rented a bike from Streamlne Cycles. They were fantastic. So incredibly helpful and lots of fun on top of it. They have direct access to the bike trail. I have been in town on business for a few days and this was the most fun I have had all week. Great bike trail around Lady Bird Lake. I would highly recommend the trail and Streamline.

Rented a bike here for Austin City Limits, got hooked up with the best rental bike I’ve ever had and experienced the city of Austin the way it’s meant to be experienced. Customer service was phenomenal, you can tell these guys really know their stuff and love what they do. Highly recommend.

You know how food is always better from a food truck? So is renting bikes! Amazing experience. $ 30 for an entire day which I found quite reasonable, plus it was hassle free. The owner is very nice and personable and knows bikes!

These dudes love bicycles so much that they moved into a trailer down by the river to rent me one. Sage and helpful, they outfitted me with a decent hybrid bike. I’d been thinking fixie or road bike for distance, but I didn’t realize how much of the river loop is crushed gravel. They did, though, and a hybrid was perfect. Bike performed optimally as both a trail bike and through lots of city riding. Recommended that I skip the final portion of the river loop and come back through East Austin instead… must’ve recognized that I love discovering diverse neighborhoods because that turned out to be a great suggestion(I actually did the river portion, too).

These guys are the BEST! They were so helpful and easy to rent bikes from, and the friendliest staff ever. My friend and I rented bikes for 3 days during our stay in Austin and it’s the only way to see the city. I really can’t say enough good things about Streamline Cycles; great prices, great service and we would definitely rent bikes from them again!

Awesome experience! These guys are great, super friendly and knowledgeable. I did the river loop which was less then 15 miles I’d guess. It was a great way to get out for a bit and see some pretty scenery of Austin. Rentals we’re going for under 15 $ for an hour. Check in on Unilocal and save some money!

The best repairs in Austin First time I had the pleasure of meeting Brian, it was the craziest time of the year in Austin, SXSW. I was just leaving a show on Rainey Street and was on a tight schedule to hit W. 6th. I had a nervous moment as I pulled up the closest bike repair shop in the area. My moment of fear was caused by the fact I was going to get price gouged due to the time of the year it was. Brian got me in and out of there with great customer service and great prices. I wasn’t even late to my show. Next repair was to get some bearings replace — a little but of a more serious procedure. I called around town to get the prices. Not only did everyone tell me it’d be a week before they could even look at it, they also had the highest prices. Brian took care of me twice now and he’s now the only person I will be seeing for bike repairs in ATX

This guy loves bicycles… like really loves bikes. The first time I stopped by I had a broken pedal and he was all excited to see the kind of bike I had and asked if he could take a pic to send to his buddy back home of it. He then fixed my pedal and replaced both of them. He fixed my fixie for only 10 bucks and I’m happy. Next time I see him is for my gf’s bike — her brakes are rubbing on the tire. He looks at it and fixes it in like 2 mins while telling me this was a great bike to get her and most of his rentals are the same(Trek 7.2) — I ask how much and he just smiles and says with his thick northeastern accent ‘Don’t worry bout it”

This place is awesome. After having terrible experiences bringing my bike elsewhere in town, I won’t have it serviced anywhere other than here. Brian is super quick with the fixes and he has tons of parts in the shop. The prices are right and the service is stellar. Go there now!

Absolutely amazing. My friend gave me a bike during SXSW and the tires were flat but I had no idea what else could be wrong. I called from the road not thinking about SXSW on Cesar Chavez. Jesse met me on Cesar Chavez and took the bike out of my trunk while I stayed in my car. Less than 10 minutes later he was back with my bike all ready to go! Better service than I could have imagined!

Great experience, very friendly, generous and professional. The location is right in front of the convention center on the edge of downtown, which is perfect. The bikes are in good condition, and Mike is always available to help adjust anything.

This place was AWESOME! Location was killer, too. Prices were completely fair! And the bikes were in great shape for rentals! When you go ask for Brian Robbins; he’s the man and so very kind.

A service-oriented bike shop with good prices. Due to their small space, they are very fast with turnaround(same day for most repairs). Brian is an incredibly detail-oriented and knowledgeable mechanic I’d trust with my vintage steel bikes AND modern carbon fiber steed. For out-of-towners, their rental bikes also seem like a safe bet.
