The Sugar Factory is an awesome place to find one of a kind gifts or items for yourself. The owner Sugar keeps me coming back for more with her personable and welcoming aura. Sugar rents out space to many well known Austin vendors such as Big Bertha, LaLa Designs, Toombas Denim and several other local artist and designers. Sugar also conducts jewelry making parties, has a very cool area in the shop to sit and relax on eclectic furniture and last but certainly not least, Sugar designs, creates and promotes her very own jewelry. There is a portion of the shop dedicated to Sugar’s jewelry which is personally my favorite part of the shop. You can find ALL types of jewelry to suit your style, personality, fancy date, wedding day jewels, work to evening jewelry and so much more. I have purchased gifts for my mother here and I have even met some of the designers and I have made a special friend. I highly recommend this wonderful shop to everyone!

I love this shop! Jewelry is absolutely amazing. Really unique pieces, appropriate for both day-wear and evening. Sugar has everything from the most tiny, precious, intricate pieces, to the biggest, most outrageously fabulous!

The Sugar Factory is a must for any Austinite or visitor! So many unique items for sale! Ms. Sugar always makes you feel welcome & you can leave with some amazing things. Everytime I get a chance I go for one of her bracelet making classes. My sister often visits from NY and The Sugar Factory is always one of our stops! This past time I brought my kids with us & Sugar was so patient with my kids! She helped each of them create something beautiful & unique that they will have forever! No better place than The Sugar Factory!

I went in on a whim(and also because I’d heard they had some vintage swimsuits). The store carries jewelry and clothing from local designers and sometimes some vintage clothing pieces. Part of the store is for jewelry parties where you can make your own pieces. The jewelry designer’s studio is in a room off to one side.

Very clever and unique pieces. Worth stopping by, and there are other local talents selling their wares there, too. Honestly, stuff you won’t find anywhere else.

Went here for book club. I was wondering why we were meeting at a store, but there is a ton of meeting areas. I was also concerned that since it was a ’boutique’ it would be expensive. There was a BIG range in prices. Some SUPER cute steam punk gear earrings for $ 5. A vintage dress for $ 25.(thinking about going back for that this weekend.) Parking was easy. A fun store to check out, the owner Sugar, is a sweetie.

I purchased a Groupon for a bracelet making class for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday. I really had no idea what to expect, but the price was so good it didn’t really matter. I called several times in advance, and each time had the opportunity to speak with Sugar, the owner. Her voice was so filled with cheer and happiness that I began to really look forward to the event. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The Sugar Factory is really two great businesses in one. At the front of the store is clothing, jewelry, and other items made by local designers. Everything was lovely, and very reasonably priced. And there’s some really cool and comfortable furntiure for you to sit on while you wait for a friend or contemplate your own purchases. The rest of the store is dedicated to Sugar’s jewelry design, her wonderful artwork, and the bracelet making area. And both Sugar and the design area are absolute delights. There are long tables, comfortable chairs, and tray and trays and trays of beautiful and fun beads for making bracelets. In addition, Sugar has designed her own light fixtures, which were incredible and would look great in my home, and her artwork is sooooo much fun. My granddaughter and I had a ball. We had unlimited time to select our beads, and Sugar made the process so simple. Interestingly, a party of women from Killeen came in while we were there. They brought food and drink, and then sat in a special room Sugar has set up like a giant dining room. Too much fun. I think that’s a great idea for a girls’ party such as a weekend pre-wedding celebration or wedding shower event, or even a younger group of girls for a birthday party. I loved every minute and hope to go back soon.

One unique new shop to Austin that is gaining positive adoration is the Sugar Factory by Gay Isber Design on West Koenig. At first glance, you may past this luscious treat, but once inside, the gallery of jewelry and art delights the senses. There is literally something for anyone and in true Texas form this unique brand of high-end handmade jewelry has quietly graced the necks of Lady Gaga, Kelly Rowland and Jordin Sparks. A place for jewelry admirers and artists alike.
