I just love Texas food trucks. We decided to try our luck at a local one right by my place, and my oh my, the tacos al pastor and breakfast tacos were so scrumptious :) It was a great day to snag some tacos, and when we walked up to it, I somehow just felt like this place was gonna hit the spot. Don’t let the rundown look fool you– this place knows how to throw down. I ordered the tacos al pastor, and the bf ordered a couple of breakfast tacos. Tacos Al Pastor 5⁄5: usually the tacos at other places are unusually small, but the two tacos I got were a good size, and the flavor was sublime. The meat was perfectly cooked, and I appreciated the little crunch I got with each bite. I made sure to get cilantro and sour cream, and oOoee it tasted finger lickin’ good :) Bacon, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Taco 5⁄5: I had a bite of this, and the seasoning in the egg was super good, and they definitely were not stingy with the cheese. Potato, Egg & Cheese 5⁄5: What stood out to me most was how tasty, soft, and flavorful the tortilla tasted when I bit into this little piece of taco heaven. The«pappas» were yummy, and it was just such a satisfying meal: D I’m actually really picky with Tex-Mex, so for me to give this joint 5 stars is huge. Try it out y’all– you won’t regret it.

I don’t think I was expecting too much but this was delicious!!! The lady who took my order was very friendly and helpful. I like how they serve the breakfast and lunch menu all day(until 2 when they close). I ordered barbacoa tacos and they were delicious. I can’t stand when I get barbacoa and its nothing but fat. These tacos were just meat and juiciness. I’m going to order them again next time! And a previous review said they had trouble getting tacos because of a language barrier buuuttttt the lady who took my order was a Hispanic lady that spoke perfect English.

I like this taco truck. I’m vegetarian, so I’m always on the lookout for veggie-friendly tacos. The beans here are vegetarian, hallelujah! It’s more rare than you’d think, so it makes me happy when I find vegetarian beans! There is not a lot else that’s veggie on the menu other than the usual suspects, beans, egg, potato, cheese. Straight forward, no frills, no fuss. Choice of red and green salsas, though it seems half the time, they’re out of one or the other. I like to use both on my tacos, but when I only get one, I still enjoy it. Friendly ladies run the place, and service is usually pretty quick. Best to take to go as it’s in a gas station parking lot and not really any place to sit and eat other than one picnic table. Worth a try if you’re in the area.

I love this place! They have the best breakfast taco’s in Way South Austin. I frequent Taco Bella’s at least 3 times a week and I have never been disappointed. The owner, Michele, is the cook along with her lovely assistant, Sylvia. When I walk up to the window they are always very friendly and always know what I want. My go to taco is ham, egg, bean, and cheese and for $ 2.50 a taco you can’t go wrong! The salsa is homemade by Michele and it is delish! On a busy morning you may have to wait a little longer for your food, but since it is all made to order and fresh, it is well worth it! I have tried other taco spots around the area, but I came back to Taco Bella’s and will not stray again. :) Thanks ladies for a great breakfast at a great price and your lovely smiling personalities when I arrive!

Aside from being practically starving this morning, I came here with high expectations… maybe too high. The tacos were an average size & made to order. But lacked flavor, 2 of my 3 tacos needed to be lightly salted. The Bean & Cheese was So-So and Bacon, Egg & Cheese was one strip of bacon, egg and EHH… Plain Jane. Now…the Al Pastor taco was Off the Hook BADASS! But was Small in comparison to my other two tacos. I guess that’s what I get for ordering it on a corn tortilla. :( The red and green hot sauce tasted like they were not made in-house but instead came out of a bottle… Sorry, there’s nothing on Earth that beats homemade hot sauce its like your own personal touch!

Cash only and speaking Spanish helps! They have pork and chicken tamales currently! Hangover and I have had a few morning walks to this little trailer eatery. Hangover is usually all grumpy and rude and still smelling like last night’s wrong-turn-tequila shot. I put up with her cause we’re family. And she’s less unpleasant after I feed her. Piling on bean and cheese and tatoes atop a bacon and egg taco is affordable(and the way to go) at only .25 cent per extra item. I’ve yet to lunch here, mostly because Hangover likes to nap around noon on Taco Bella days, but I’d bet their carne asada is pretty tasty. I usually go for a little more umph and grease and gut-punch with my tacos. But for convenience, speed, overall goodness, these are good. Again — cash only. Bring it with you… if you have to go in and use the ATM in the Shell, with those non-bank service charges you just added $ 5.00 in expense to your otherwise really cheap meal.

Great breakfast tacos. Not open at night but you should stop by for breakfast and lunch. It is best if you take it home plus make sure you have time to spare they as slow because they do not cook it until you order it. Give it a try.

I’m always skeptical about taco trailers as I seem them everywhere, but this one had become practically my weekly breakfast stop. My favorite is the breakfast tacos. I usually get a potato, egg & cheese & a sausage, egg & cheese. I get full off of one, but can’t help myself & have to get one for later. I LOVE this little trailer. Every time Mrs. Michelle sees me pull up she knows exactly what I want. The folks there are always smiling and super friendly. Too bad they are not open late nights as I could definitely see myself there after hours. However, I guess it’s not a bad things b/c I shouldn’t be eating that late anyways. OMG: I forgot to mention that I simply love the hamburgers & fries for lunch. I try not to eat them as often as I still have a figure to maintain, but it hands down beats any fast food joint. Not only do I love the name, location & food but I literally think this little trailer gives all the other ones taco competition. I highly recommend Taco Bellas!!! I believe they are open till 2 pm Mon-Sat.

By reading the other reviews I can’t help thinking these people were going to a different taco truck and had this place confused with somewhere else. I am completely addicted to this place, going there every morning for my potato egg & cheese breakfast tacos(tip: get the red sauce). I have eaten many breakfast places and many mexican restaurants in austin, and this little taco truck at the gas station completely outdoes all of them. By a long shot. No joke. The people who run it are nice and friendly and put love into what they do – the ingredients aren’t all pre-cooked sitting in a heated bin, they cook it on the spot, so it takes usually 5+ minutes for my order, which I am more than happy to wait because it’s well worth it. I hope more people discover this place and realize it’s better than all of the«real» restaurants in the surrounding area so they can stay in business!

I couldn’t help but wonder, is it bad to have high expectations? Well perhaps when it comes to tacos and you come from a Mexican American family who can cook some damn good Mexican food! After a late night with friends, was feeling too lazy to cook and was jonesing for some tacos, preferably something near the neighborhood. I came across Taco Bella’s trailer. The sign read that they also sold hamburgers and fries but upon my investigation, they had sold out of them by 1:00pm and it was 1:30. Ordered the bi– steak taco for $ 1.50 and the chopped steak meat was lightly topped with cilantro and onions. And just because I’m a sucker for fries, a small side came home with me as well. First observation was that their tortillas are really small! Definitely not the average size you’ll find used at Taco C or at the local grocery store. The taco was really flavorful but didn’t use their salsa because it was too hot. My disappointment was that it was so small and should have gotten a second one to fill up. Mmmmm… softly crisp golden fries to the rescue. Oooh they tasted so good. But I couldn’t tell if they were real French fries or frozen fries that had just been deep fried. Overall, not terribly impressed but I might come back to try a hamburger and leave my expectations at home.

This is stop #9 on my 2010 Trailer Food Quest Time: noon Day: Saturday, February 13, 2010 Order: potato and egg breakfast taco, bacon & egg, al pastor, bistek and barbacoa. Total: $ 8 I finally took a dive and decided to add a Mexican taco trailer to my quest. I can’t guarantee I’ll add many to my quest. One, because there are too many. Two, because I don’t have experienced taste buds to appropriately review them. I’ll leave that to my boyfriend, the taco connoisseur. Thoughts?: Very friendly, quick and close to home for me. The breakfast tacos were decent, but something I could easily make at home. The al pastor was tasty but the other two tacos were dry and unmemorable. They have odd hours and aren’t a late night taco joint like most others. Breakfast and lunch will have to do for them.
