I’ve been meaning to right a review about this place for awhile. I have been here twice several months apart and the service has been extremely exceptional! The waiters are sweet and professional. The food is AMAZING!!! And the music is good; they truly stand by running the restaurant from the back of the house because they truly put out excellent service and food to match. I would definitely recommend this place! Brunch gets packs on Saturday and Sunday’s but worth it!

Love this place !! Phenomenal presentation of an assortment of skewers and tacos with unique flavors. Easily the most thought provocative concept in a city comprised of national predictable brands !! Definitely deserve my highest recommendation.

I met 9 friends for happy hour and the service was spectacular! The taco selection for happy hour is a bit limited, but they’re $ 1.50 each, so that’s fine. The complimentary chips were great, plain and sweet potato, with three kinds of salsa that were constantly replenished. The space is friendly and comfortable, and the music was great(if a bit loud). We stayed a long time and our waitress was fabulous throughout. Can’t wait to go back!

Awesome brunch. Very big selection and the taco bar is with chicken verde and pulled pork tacos are badass. The people working there are nice and seem to honestly care about you enjoying the food. Cucumber jalapeño margarita is their best drink. Music selection is a great add on to experience.

We came in for happy hour this evening and it was excellent. We all found something to love from the menu and the waitress was awesome. Can’t fault it for the price.

Amazing Food and server AJ is soooo wonderful!!! The food is some of the best in Austin. Their waffles with honey butter has truly converted this non-waffle lover. They also have a terrific DJ

Brunch. Yes. Just Do It. The Sunday Brunch. You may have to wait a while for a table, but it’s worth it. They have all kinds of breakfast and lunch foods, and mimosas are included in the $ 19.99. I normally don’t pay that much for a meal, but when it includes your coffee and drinks, and an all you can eat buffet, it suddenly seems quite reasonable. You won’t need to eat for 8 hours afterwards. Staff is nice, too. And it’s an interestingly eclectic crowd. They have a live DJ, which is fun as long as you don’t walk in with a hangover headache or want to have a quiet conversation. But I’ve gone twice and will go again when i get the chance.

I love it! Being a Taco and Tequila lover this place seemed to be a perfect fit for a fun date night. We got here early, which allowed us to take full advantage of the amazing happy hour menu. You can’t beat the $ 4 drink specials– which are actually really good in taste. But what is even more amazing is the $ 1.50 taco bar special. With your choice of meat or beans, you get to choose from any of the toppings at the taco bar. The flavor was phenomenal — and so was the overall atmosphere. The restaurant is very modern with a central bar and large tequila selection. The staff is friendly and overall we had a great experience. If I lived in Austin, I’d be a regular. Oh, and I almost forgot the complimentary chips and salsa(actually, there are three different salsas!!) So stop by during happy hour and I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I contacted them for catering information and the website promised a reply within 48 hours. It was almost a week before I heard back and that email was a reply of «I’ve been out of the office, I will be with your shortly» and its now a week later and I’ve heard nothing back. Not a good look for a company I was looking to drop several thousand dollars on for wedding catering! Made me think that they are probably unreliable and I will be choosing a different caterer. I wouldn’t recommend them for catering since the customer service is deplorable.

Though I didn’t get to try any food besides the complimentary chips and salsas, I love the concept! Tequila is my liquor of choice, so it was fitting that my friends and I got some drinks here before a night downtown. Happy hour specials looked AWESOME but sadly we came at around 9pm, so we couldn’t take advantage of the offers. I got a house margarita– a little sweet, but great with the delicious sweet potato chips and 3 different salsas to try. We also decided to share one of the tequila flights– I got to try the silver tequila. Very smooth tequila and an even tastier sangrita chaser. Definitely will come back for happy hour. Definitely will try the food next time. And definitely a great location for a night out afterwards. Service was also great, so that’s always a plus too! UPDATE: I went back for happy hour on cinco de mayo– probably a bad idea because of the huge crowds! No point of getting a taco from the taco bar because you’d have to stand and eat, and it took forever to get one of their super tarty house margaritas. However, once we finally got a table, I ordered the tropical salad with ahi tuna, and it was very fresh, delicious, healthy, and satisfying. Our service was pretty bad because of the holiday, but I’m sure every Mexican restaurant was the same that day.

Great spot for brunch I went here for brunch this past Sunday with a friend and set at the bar. I usually don’t sit at the bar but I didn’t want to wait for a table. I feel like the service is what took the 4 star review to 5 stars. Quick brunch breakdown: $ 22 for a buffet and 2 mimosas. The host said there was a 2hour limit(not sure if that is actually enforced since I was only there about an hour) Pros: Service: Kyle, the bartender, can make you a drink if you tell him what you like. I am not a big drinker so normally defult to a mojito but I told Kyle that I wanted something sweeter but not overwellming. He made some lemon thing. But it was really good. Food: tons of options to pick from. At some point things were empty but by the time I went for a second place it was full again. Mimosas: people who say the mimosa aren’t good but I asked for the champagne alone and had no problem getting it. DJ: it was a little weird at first but the DJ was actually really good. Maybe a bit loud but nothing too horrible Cons: uncomfortable chairs, but I want trying to live there so no big deal. Not a kid friendly place, I only day this because someone brought two small kids that wonder around on there own and with such a small place I almost knocked one over. A little pricey but compared to other brunch in that area it is appropriate

I went to Tacos & Tequila for Sunday brunch. It was pretty solid. We were there early, so the food was super fresh and there was no wait for anything. The buffet itself is heavy on the mexican & bbq theme, but overall the assortment was plentiful and quality. I really enjoyed the Chicken & Waffles — the chicken was amazing! I also really loved the apple cobbler. So good. I’d gladly go back for brunch!

As an avid bruncher, I would definitely come here but typically only by invite of a friend. I am not a fan of breakfast buffets. That said, the good thing about the TNT brunch, or bad depending on how you look at it, is that there is more variety of food than just Mexican. You can also select from chicken and waffles, sausage, regular eggs, etc. But you can also enjoy the taco meet carving station that ensures fresh meet for you, plenty of chips and salsa and guac your heart desires. There is a bumpin’ DJ that keeps the vibe hip and more tailored for a younger crowd. Enjoy the all you can eat brunch with two complimentary mimosas(variety of flavors including grapefruit), coffee or regular beverages. That alone I think makes this brunch a GREAT value. I rate this place 4 stars only because I feel like brunch buffets lose quality and freshness and the set up is a little poor because people tend to get confused and stand in awkward lines. There are more original places in town, but you can definitely expect this place to be super packed any time you go.

Needed to be west of Lamar and met a friend for lunch at Tacos ‘n Tequila. This is a solid option – give it a 3.5−3.75. Nice covered outdoor dining with a breeze. Good lunch options of soups, salads, tacos, skewers. Lots of $ 10 combo lunches. My friend had three vegetarian skewers, I had a beef taco, shrimp skewer and side salad. Each were $ 10. I loved the variety. The $ 10 lunch was enough for leftovers for another meal. Quality ingredients. Nice preparation. The soft tortillas were good. They served complimentary chips and sweet potato chips with a trio of salsas. Really nice and easy lunch spot. Would definitely eat there again.

Tacos and Tequila during lunch was pretty good! I like the look and outside patio seating of the restaurant. Its very casual. There’s lots of different options for tacos. Lots of healthy selections and side options as well. Service is alright. For a place that wasn’t that busy, our waiting seemed preoccupied and lacked attention to our requests. Overall, I’d come back during their brunch and enjoy the patio!

I’m torn between 2.5 and 3 stars. TNT’s cocktails received a major thumbs down from my party of 10 tonight. This place was highly recommended by a local and we were all looking forward to sampling their specialty tequila drinks. Each of the cocktails were delivered to the table with an overwhelming sour lime taste. We sent all 3 of the spicy cilantro margaritas back to the bar immediately. For $ 11 we were very disappointed that they resembled a bottled lime juice taste rather than freshly squeezed lime. The mojito was also very bitter and unpleasant. I highly suspect they forgot to add alcohol because it tasted like pure sparkling lime soda with chunks of mint. I didn’t even finish the last half because of its poor quality. The food however was excellent. Between our large party we ordered every type of street taco on the menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of their tacos. They were larger than I expected and the homemade flour tortillas were soft and delicious! I felt they were priced appropriately and two tacos were just the perfect portion for dinner. I recommend the fried artichoke street tacos. I really enjoyed the lemon aioli and tapenade. Their complementary chips and salsa were also impressive. Overall, the service was fine and we enjoyed the food. It’s very unfortunate that we disliked our cocktails because I was under the impression they were known for their selection of tequila. Perhaps it was an off day for the bartender. Side note– when we called for a reservation they hastily threatened to charge us $ 25 if we didn’t show, however they never asked for our credit card information. Hmmm.

Kind of an expensive place, but definetly worth trying. The menu is made of assorted meats, and you can order them any which way you like — being in tacos, on a skewer, etc.(See photos) TNT is definitely a fun place to go. The music is loud and it makes me feel like I’m dining in a trendy atmosphere. Servers are nice and appropriate; our server was Harrison. He did a great job explaining everything as it was our first time there. I ordered the beef fajita taco and a chicken fajita taco. The beef fajita taco was way better than the chicken one. When the plate arrived, there was a cornbread mash as a side item. That was excellent as well. Bonus: there is free 3 hr. parking for the restaurant and surrounding retail shops. What a relief to not worry about having to park in downtown Austin to dine.

Best thing about this place is the friendliness by the staff. Food was just okay, and here’s why: The complimentary chips and salsa trio that comes out is great, I liked it better than the queso flight. The verde salsa is just right, the regular salsa is very good, and the third is good. The queso was very thick, chip-breaking thick. We sampled the Chorizo, mushroom(with some extremely chewy pieces), & artichoke queso(subpar). Definitely wouldn’t order again. You’re probably better off with the guacamole, I hear it’s great. I ordered a veggie street taco, and this was the biggest let down, it was mainly two different kinds of onions and some squash/zucchini.the onion was very overpowering and I’m an onion gal. The chunks of veggies was not proportionate to the taco either, no cheese, no sauce, just super plain. can make a better taco out of scrap items in my own kitchen. My friend got the beef street taco & chimichurri taco, he liked the chimichurri taco way better but said they were okay, nothing special. The main reason why I even tried this place is because I saw they had a cucumber jalapeño margarita… it even says«muddled cucumber» but that was not the case at all. Didn’t taste/see any cucumber or jalapeño… So I asked if they gave me the right drink… They said yeah, that you can’t see it because they strain it… Which I honestly just don’t believe because I didn’t taste either ingredients. so they«re-made» my drink… this time adding cut up pieces of cucumber… Not muddled. Drink people know the difference. This was such a let down.

Holy brunch. This was my second time at this TNT. Dinner was good, not as memorable as their brunch! I wish I took more pictures but I think I blacked out from food overwhelmingness(just made that word up). Ok so it is only $ 20ALLYOUCANTEAT aaaaand 2 mimosas. Such a great deal! They had a street taco station, warm foods such as enchiladas and more Mexican themed foods, made to order Omelet and eggs Benedict, waffles, Migas, chicken and waffles and so so much more! I highly suggest this place for brunch. The only wimpy picture I got was of the blackberry pie with melting ice cream I had to force myself to eat.

Came here for Saturday Brunch with friends! Price — $ 19.95 for Brunch is not bad when it’s Brunch Buffet with amazing Mexican Food well that’s a steal! Overall Environment — The ambience is very lively… it’s crowded but I would call it lively and energetic and I enjoyed it! Food — Came here while on Lent so I was worried I wouldn’t have any non-met options to eat, but it was definitely vegetarian/pescatarian friendly(one of the perks of Austin that I’ve noticed) The Soup du Jour was a Beet & Potato salad and it was not only a pretty color but one of the favs out of the things I tried! Plenty of egg options, black bean adobe pie, baked fish, enchiladas, waffles, dessert etc! Next time I can’t wait to try the meats especially the brisket carving station and the TACOS of course! The chips and salsa and the other sides were great as well so I was a happy camper! Drinks — I didn’t really get anything but water, but the mimosas were good and one of the people at our table really enjoyed the Blood Mary. Yah I’d go back! :)
