My favorite place to shop! Staff is always friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. I can always find great looking clothes for any occasions. When they are having sales, I always get a lot of great buys. If you like for the staff to help you locate the right sizes, help with your selection and be informed on the inventory, stop by Talbots in Barton Creek Mall and check it out for yourself. This store is way hipper than I expected!

I never knew what a fan I was of Talbots until I met Lou Chandler. My friend who always dresses very professionally and cute (oxymorons for sure but that girl has it goin’ on) decided I needed to meet her secret weapon, Lou.
My idea was to go in, smile, say hello, purchase a little marked down item and leave. That absolutely did not happen. Lou toured me through the store and showed me the things she liked and what she thought would look good on my body type. (I’m a triangle. You know, small butt, larger boobage.) We carried a pile of clothes into the dressing room and I proceeded to love almost everything she recommended!
My new Fashion Guru was very low key and never tried to sell me on anything. She gave me the space to make good decisions based on my budget and what I liked. The only time Lou was ever so slightly insistent was when I slipped into pants I thought were too tight and she said, «Just give them 15 minutes sitting in your car and they’ll stretch to fit you». She was right.
For years my wardrobe consisted of clothing that was purchased on sale, cuz that’s the way I roll. It occurs to me, now, post Lou, that they were on sale because they weren’t really that cute. That was my lightbulb moment after hanging my new pretty full price items up in my closet.
