Delicious lemonade and boba tea. The mint lemonade is tangy, sweet and refreshing. The jasmine boba tea was sweet and floral without being over-whelming. The blueberry scones are amazing as well(ask for it warmed up). You can actually taste the individual ingredients in every item you order. Will be coming back!

The best boba milk tea in town is hiding in a strip mall. I love that you can specify how much or how little sweetness you want. I haven’t tried the lemonades but the combinations look really interesting. Cute shop with modern interior, nice employees — good place to sit and chat over a drink.

I love, love, loved the mint blueberry lemonade! It tasted fresh and had actual blueberries mashed in it with mint! I’m currently pregnant and have been craving a mojito. This drink helped curb that craving! I highly recommend the lemonades if you’re trying this place out for the first time. Mint mojito iced coffee — I had to ask them to remake it with half the sugar because it was way too sweet as is. The staff is very accommodating and instantly made me another one :) If you like a lot of cream in your coffee, then go for this one. I personally didn’t care for the coated layer on the roof of my mouth after a few sips. Sea salt crème coffee — The sea salt is very subtle but this drink is delicious with half the amount of its regular sugar. Spam musubi — This item is still on their menu but it’s no longer available or even offered.

Tea Haus is good. Let me explain what good means: Good means getting drinks that taste pretty yummy. It means even though the food smells and looks delicious, it’s a little bit too pricy to buy all the time. It means when you get coffee, you can tell them to put a little less ice or sugar in, but at the end of the day it’s still a fairly mediocre cup of milky coffee. It means their teas are good(and some, like the Jasmine milk tea, is better than others!) — but just a little too watered down even when you ask for light ice, and just doesn’t really hit the spot. It means that the boba is deliciously sweetened with honey but just a little undercooked, enough to bother you but not cause you to swear off this place forever. Good means really nice décor, but once you pass the counter it’s quite dark. Good means plentiful space but not plentiful enough seats. It means only some seats have outlets and only some seats are comfy but the ones that got it, got it. Good means I wouldn’t ever be opposed to coming here, but I don’t think I would ever crave this place.

Been here many times, nothing really stood out to me until this visit. The boba milk tea I used to order were always watered down with very few bubble. Not really any tea flavor either. Today, the cashier recommended us sea salt crème coffee. Wow, so tasty. The strong coffee with some seat salt taste balance the bitterness in coffee. The flavor is so strong and satisfying. Organic honey milk + boba was good. I could taste the honey. Go Organic. Chicken bits were good as usual, the best in town. Large portion with huge chicken bits balance with basil flavor and leaves. The background music was a bit too loud. Otherwise, this place would be wonderful for a quick stop by or study spot.

As far as tapioca goes, Tea Haus is decent. Their drinks are also alright, but there aren’t very many choices, so if you’re not craving something that’s on the menu, you’re kind of at a loss. I’m also not a fan of their grapefruit drink — it had little bits of grapefruit zest that didn’t add any flavor to the drink in my opinion. Their hot coffee is pretty average — I ordered a latte once and it was just alright. Nothing special! I think the best item on the menu is probably their sea salt iced coffee. The general vibe of Tea Haus is a hipster spin off of your regular boba tea spot. I like the large tables in the back, but often find it difficult to find seating here. There are definitely a lot of cute places to take a photo for Instagram though! This isn’t my first choice for studying, coffee, or boba, but it’s still a nice place to visit if you’re in the area!

When I first walked in I was so confused. It was packed with what looked like a ton of college students… I thought to myself, what the heck am I on UT campus??? I ordered the regular milk tea with honey boba, the basil fried chicken, and the brick toast. The milk tea tasted pretty good and the boba had good consistency. The basil fried chicken was delicious and gets 5 stars alone. But, the brick toast is where the biggest disappointment was. I’m sorry but this was overhyped. It’s literally a huge slice of toast doused in condensed milk with some sliced strawberries on top and it tastes exactly as described. Not impressed. I’d say go for the milk tea and chicken and skip the toast!

My favorite drink is the jasmine milk tea boba! I had the butter toast and basil fried chicken. The basil fried chicken was a bit salty and the toast wasn’t as moist. I will be back for their boba though!

Jasmine tea with bubbles is LEGIT! Bubbles were tasty & a great chewy texture… tea wasn’t too sweet or too watered down. All of their snacks were delicious as well– definitely eat the snacks THERE b/c they taste much better freshly made than taking them to-go…definitely get the strawberry toast. divine!

I’m always searching for a coffee shop with good vibes and a good setting. Tea Haus definitely delivered! Conveniently located in North Austin off of Anderson Lane, it gives us North Austin-ers a hip vibe minus the commute and traffic to get to some of the trendy central/South Austin coffee shops. With beverage options ranging from Boba Tea, to Horchata, to one-of-a-kind coffee delights, there’s something for everyone! I opted for a Sea Salt Crème Coffee — YASSSSSSS. **Pats self on back.** It was delicious! I also snagged a Spam Musubi –which is the only time I’ve ever seen one in Austin. Being born and raise in Hawaii I think it’s fair to say that I have good judgement over what is a legit musubi or not… let me tell y’all…this musubi GAVEMELIFE!!! Very impressed with the quality and authentic taste. Not to mention this is a great place to work and/or study. The seating allows you to get comfy without going into full on slouch/slob mode(i.e. tons of couches). I stayed in the shop working for 5 hours or so and received no side eyes or hurry-up-and-buy-something-else faces from the staff. They gave me nothing but fabulous service and I’ll definitely be back again soon!

Wow. How can I say this without overstating just how happy I was with how perfect everything was about my visit? I don’t think I can… but I will try. Tea Haus is right next door to Phonatic(which is also great in their own right) but I was in the mood to try something I know I have experience with and that is Boba Teas. Now keep in mind, I grew up in Houston which has a gigantic Asian community and I currently live in Chinatown Houston. So my experience with Asian teas is pretty good. There are only 2 – 3 that I love in the Houston area and the rest are mediocre or they just over sweeten their drinks. So I order a Jasmine Milk Tea with Tapioca and their signature Strawberry Brick Toast. The tea was served promptly while the toast took about 10 mins to prepare. I took one sip of the tea and it was velvety smooth and sweetened just right! I could taste the tea blend and jasmine without the sweet overpowering the whole thing but the best part? The boba tapioca. My goodness, I thought I’d tried the very best before but whatever it is that they do here to the boba I hope they stick to it. It was PERFECTLY chewy, soft centers and they were sweetened unlike any other tapioca I had tried before. Now don’t get me wrong, other places are good too but Tea Haus’ boba has something special going for it and I can’t put taste buds on it but I fell in love! Best Jasmine Milk Tea ever! Then the brick toast was called. I walk to the kitchen window to get it and I was amazed at the presentation! For a moment there I felt like Chef Gordon Ramsey being served some fancy dessert to judge! It was fat like a brick and covered with strawberries. Cut a piece and took a bite. I almost called the moving company to move my stuff into this place because I didn’t want to leave! The toast fast fantastic! Perfectly toasted and sweet with some sort of buttery texture and the strawberries just made everything pop perfectly together. You just have to try it yourself. Now don’t be deceived. it looks super sweet like french toast but it’s beyond that and the sweetness is perfectly balanced. Split it with a friend if you’re worried about calories lol! My only complaint is that now when I do have milk tea or any sort of dessert toast I am gonna compare it to this place and it’s just too darn far for me to drive to every time I want my milk tea fix! But if you’re local, you should check it out. It was perfect and the service was super friendly!

Another afternoon escape from my weekend conference in Austin. Ordered: — basil chicken: freshly made and juicy flavors! Good portion size for $ 5.75. Definitely a decent appetizer at a typical restaurant, but I have been to Taiwanese places that will give you twice the portion for the same price. But this is a «hipster» café after all, so for this standard — it’s worth getting! — sea salt crème coffee: a ton of ice goes into this drink. Initial impression: great flavors, creamy and not too sweet. An hour later when all the ice has melted? Ugh can’t even get a sip down. Moral of the story? Drink fast but worth it as well. Total was less than $ 10, which was pretty decent. A typical latte and pastry at a coffee shop will also be at least $ 7. Decent wifi! Which I always appreciate. Friendly staff and seems to be welcoming for people of all ages. I will definitely come back next time I’m around.

Pleasantly surprised by this place! Great tea quality, not your typical bubble tea place. I tried their original milk tea, and the tea flavor really comes through. I actually found the milk tea not sweet enough, but it is one of the best milk tea places I have been in Austin! It is not overwhelmed with sweetener or artificial flavors, and tasted very ‘natural’. My friend got the grapefruit green tea, which is good too. The drink is not too sweet, and is really refreshing. Highly recommend this place!

I lovvveeeeeeeee this place. The lychee green tea with boba is my favorite! There are pieces of lychee in the drink and it’s very refreshing. The basil fried chicken is LEGIT! Full of flavor and crispy. The drinks are affordable and delicious. One of my favorite tea places in Austin!

Pros: Mojito coffee, basil chicken, and the milk teas are great. I love that they are open until 10pm most evenings, which seems to be a little later than a lot of the other coffee houses around town. The restaurant always looks clean and it is in a shopping center with plenty of parking relatively close by. It seems like a lot of students like to come bring their laptops and work here. There is a variety of seating choices from small to large tables and a bar along the wall to sit at. Cons: Brick Toast is a little dry. Something to give it a more moist overall texture like a pound cake or angel cake would suit me better. I ordered a musubi once and I think they nuked it way too long because the spam was brown instead of pink, and the rice was crunchy. Once we went in and the AC was blasting so strong that we needed to sit in our car which was a bummer.

FOOD: Basil Fried Chicken: Ultra tender and is comparable to the fried chicken you get in the streets of Taiwan! It has a lot of flavor and the lime gives it an extra kick. It is extremely delicious. If you’re here you have to order this! Brick Toast: A thick piece of toast doused with condensed milk and topped with fresh strawberries. Super tasty, and a perfect amount of sweetness unlike desserts that are sickening sweet. It was a really good sized portion — plenty to fulfill your sweet cravings. Spam Musubi: It’s a snack sold everywhere in Hawaii and is similar to the traditional Japanese onigiri(rice ball). It has rice + spam + nori(dried seaweed) wrapped around it and is served warm. Sounds simple but it’s really tasty! The portion size isn’t big, but it’s a good study bite. DRINKS: Sea Salt Crème Coffee: Try it both iced and hot. Really great coffee! Boba Jasmine Milk Tea: I love how you can really taste the jasmine tea. It is creamy and the boba is high quality — soft and chewy goodness. Tea Haus is probably the best place in Austin(that I know of) to get boba milk tea. ATMOSPHERE: Music is great and is a perfect place to study or come to chat with friends. SERVICE: There’s always really nice and friendly service!

Their boba is delicious unlike other boba I’ve had. It’s sweet being that it’s soaked in honey! As others have stated they’ve got a simple menu with a few teas, coffees, lemonades, and snacks. I tried the jasmine and reg milk teas and they’re both delicious. They nailed it! My fav is the Jasmine. It’s so silky and has a slight floral taste. It’s divine! Get the large! I made the mistake of getting regular sizes and nearly slurped my drink down before I could get back on the highway! I can’t wait to get back and try more stuff!

This is as good as it gets, folks. Hands down my favorite bubble tea in all of Austin. Probably in all of everywhere. If it weren’t for Angie L., it might have taken me forever to try this place. I get the black milk tea because it is so gosh darn delicious. I’m not the biggest fan of sweet and this is PERFECT. It tastes more like tea and less like sugar and I can’t get enough. If you dig bubble tea that is less sweet and more tea-like, you will love this. The boba are also perfect — wonderfully chewy and they give you plenty. I also got to try the basil fried chicken and it is fantastic. Seriously. For only $ 5, you get a very generous serving of deliciously fried basil chicken that is tender and juicy. Remember my Love Balls review and how I felt about the Chicken Thing? I feel the same way about the basil fried chicken here. I’ve heard the lemonades are awesome and I keep meaning to try one, but that black milk tea always calls my name and I can’t resist. One day, though, I’m gonna try a lemonade. And probably also get a black milk tea because why not both? And I better add some basil fried chicken because delicious. I love you, Tea Haus.

Sometimes simplicity is all you need. Tea Haus has a couple coffee options, a couple of tea options and a couple difference lemonade options. For food they have 3 things on the menu — basil fried chicken, brick toast and affogato. Simplicity is winning here at Tea Haus. I had the mint blueberry lemonade and it was phenomenal! I was at an UYE and the table had several orders of basil fried chicken and brick toast. The fried chicken was delicious! The brick toast was great too! Everything is freshly made. Even the drinks are made as you order them. The atmosphere here has a modern feel and is great for a small get together with friends or studying by yourself. If you are in the area and looking for a snack and a refreshment definitely stop in here. If there was a location down south I would definitely become a regular. Thanks Angie L for introducing Tea Haus to me!

Lemonade I don’t think will ever taste the same again after my visit to Tea Haus. The interior is modern with dark tones that make the atmosphere calm and relaxing. This is the type of place you can catch up on work, or meet up with people. I happened to come for the purpose of meeting up with peeps. They have a streamlined menu, which makes it easy to find something to order. The focus is on beverages, but they do have a couple of food items. The group ordered Basil Fried Chicken and brick toast which both looked amazing, and everyone raved about. For us wheat sensitive folk, they did have premade plastic wrapped gluten free items from Russell’s bakery at the front counter. The beverage options range from raw pressed juices by Daily Green, homemade lemonades, a variety of tea and coffee drinks, and Boba milk tea. I ordered the coconut chia lemonade, and then waited for my order. My drink was the last to come out, as I learned their lemonades are so fresh, they are made as you order. The wait is worth it though, as the lemonade is definitely one of the best I have ever had. A refreshing drink to beat the summer heat.
