The Bridge at Center Ridge

I love the staff here, as they’re all super friendly and helpful. I lived at the Bridge at Tech Ridge and found that one of the staff from over there, Dee Dee, had started permanently working over at Center Ridge. It was reassuring to see a familiar face from the leasing agents at the new place and I always enjoy talking with them. The maintenance staff are very quick to resolve issues and I really like this location, especially with its proximity to the Tech Ridge shopping center and the Park and Ride.

I love living at Bridge at Center Ridge. It’s a nice apartment complex. They have nice helpful office staff. One office staff member I have worked with on several basis is Dee Dee. Dee Dee is very outgoing and friendly whenever I come in and have any questions to ask, she gives me answers or she finds out the information to answer my questions. I’ve only been living here for a short period of time but so far so good. The maintenance crew is nice and punctual as well. They fix things quickly and efficiently. Can’t complain about that. The landscape is professionally kept up with a nice pool to enjoy. Great place.

The apartments are great. The staffs are active and well responsive. Service mens are also friendly. Love the pool area and bbq spots. Gym has lot of machines, tv and a vending machine. These management often arrange some give aways like pizza, popsicles etc.

This is the first apartment I have ever lived in. I am also new to the Austin area. I literally chose this apt because of how close it is to my employer.
So the Pros:
— All of the people in the front office and the maintenance people are super friendly
— The pond is actually pretty cool, I like to see the turtles swimming around
— Pretty reasonably priced, by reasonable, I mean super cheap
— Super high ceilings which made my 1 bedroom apt seem so much bigger
— Full appliances (refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher)
Cons:
— While the staff is super friendly, they SUCK at being attentive to tickets submitted for maintenance!!! I had a broken window blind in my apt before I moved in, 4 months in and they STILL have not come in to fix it
— The parking spots are hella small… I mean like if you have an SUV or a truck, you are sort of screwed unless you park far or pay for carport/​garage
— People don’t pick up after there dogs. So there is dog crap everywhere
— There are always a BUNCH of kids around which is honestly fine because they’re cute but you have to be extra cautious when driving
— None of the units come with a washer and dryer
Overall, so far, living here has been pretty nice. I haven’t had any problems and I’m actually happy about that. I will update this review in a couple of months to let you all know how my time here has progressed.

As of the end of 2015 the Bridge has been taken over by new management and new staff– so don’t pay attention to previous reviews! While the old management company seemed disorganized and unwilling to help, the new staff is incredible. We are in our second lease and are so happy to be living here. When we would bring up issues with neighbor noise or dogs barking, the old staff would tell us to talk to them and wouldn’t even issue a warning. Now the manager herself has addressed it and solved the issue, we couldn’t be any happier! Comfortable, clean apartments and a clean property in general. We are so happy we stayed through management change!

I didnt even get to sign the lease because they screwed us over by withdrawing $ 145 out of my account this morning for the application and they wound up leasing the apartment to someone else that same morning. wtf? They said all i did was «reserve» the apt with the $ 145, but that wasnt enough to take it off the market? Last time i checked, if you «reserve» something, that means you want it and are willing to put money down to get it. Manager there kept repeating herself when i asked her different questions and wanted to offer me a 3^rd floor. uhhh i initially asked for 1^st floor and she kept saying they have a 3^rd floor available and that it was so chaotic of what happened and it was a bermuda triangle? Idc if it was a damn tsunami with a volcanic eruption, you shouldve frkn called and asked if i still wanted that damn apt?! And they leased out the one i applied for or what they call «reserve» because the other occupant had more MONEY. I’m over here at work complimenting the crap out of this community and how the staff is wonderful and then they pull this and couldn’t seem hold the unit for me as the quote said there and i was on time. Absolutely disappointed. Either way, I’m reporting them to the Austin Tenants Association. I better see my money back in my account, they can at least have the decency to do that. I am new to the Austin area and was out searching for apartments. My last stop of the day was The Marquis at Center Ridge. I walked into the office at 5:40 pm. The office staff were turning off the lights and packing up to go home even though they closed at 6 pm. I spoke to Brooke and she seemed very upset that I came into the office so late. She told me that I came too late to see an apartment and when I asked for information about apartment layouts and prices, she told me to go online and rushed me out the door. I had been to quite a few apartments that day and I have to say that the staff at Marquis at Center Ridge were the rudest staff that I have ever encountered. The staff hate their jobs and should probably get out of the customer service field.

Nice apartments, good price, quiet community and great work staff! wich are nice and friendly.

OK my review is SOLELY based on Katie the new girl in the office. I toured the property today with prospective residents, and this girl rocked out! She has only been there for a freaking week, and she sold it! What really impressed me was she was left by herself on a Saturday! I arrived with my clients to see their 2 bedroom, and we did have to wait. But this girl handled everyone with a pep in her step! Good job Katie!

Good luck ever trying to get ahold of a person in the office. Ever.

I don’t really understand the one stars, this place is not horrible. The office staff was friendly when I signed my lease and friendly when I had a maintenance issue. They respond in a timely manner and have never been rude. They have recently installed a gate which is fine but getting a remote for it has been difficult because of my work hours. I really appreciate them planting new palm trees and keeping up with the landscaped areas. My only concern would be that i did see a lot of spider webs, bee nests, and dust accumulating around stairways and the outside hallway walls. But other than that our apartment was very spacious, loved the island kitchen, vaulted ceilings, and big closets.

It’s been one bad experience after another, literally from the first day! I moved in to the Marquis at Center Ridge complex over Super Bowl weekend to a unit which had been vacant for some time, due to this the water had a strong sulfur smell whenever it was turned on; I was unable to shower or wash my sheets/​towels and the stench was permeating the entire apartment so I called the 24-​hour maintenance regarding the issue and was told that did not constitute after-​hours service and would half to wait until their office reopened Monday morning. They no longer even offer after hours maintenance, which is VERY inconvenient to someone who works and is in school, and due to the lack of after-​hours service I was left with a major security risk in the form of a damaged deadbolt for well over a month! I have had packages stolen not only from my doorstep but even gone missing from the office, to which their response was that the post office must have put the package slip in the wrong box… I’ve come home to find maintenance slips stating they’ve completed work that a) was never in need of attendance in the first place and b) was never requested! When I called management for an explanation, she laughed at the fact that she sent them to the wrong apartment! And the latest, as a full-​time student I was offered the opportunity to dog-​sit for extra income and called to inform them as a courtesy and was told I would have to pay a $ 300 deposit, plus an addition pet rent for the duration of my lease when I would have only been watching the dog (which would have been crated at night and while gone) for 5 DAYS! I can’t say it’s a CWS issue as I’ve lived at sister properties, although their corporate office is about as worthless as the onsite «management».

I lived here on a 13 month lease at at first I really enjoyed it.
Maintenance was very responsive to requests. I liked being able to access the pool ²⁴⁄₇ but eventually that was taken away and changed to 10 pm everyday. Kids would be out all hours of the night screaming and people who lived by the pool complained. Also you are supposed to onkybhave 2 guests for every resident however nobody enforced it because peopke would bring 20 guests some day.
Theft is terrible in this complex. I would see cars sitting on blovks or on the ground with their wheels and rims miasing. Someone attempted to break into my apartment while I was gone but luckily my dog scared the person off. I spoke to multiple people who had had break ins. They put up a gate however half the time it is broken and stays open. It says its timed for one car however 6 cars can easily go through after opening it.
The people that had recently moved in around me were so noisy and one guy whistles down the hallway every morning at 6 am. It’s loud enough to wake me up and my room wasnt on the hallway side. There are also quite a few drug addicts living in this complex too.
The grill areas are nice but the pond has a lot of trash floating in it.
My apartment was small, overpriced and for the space and price I could have lived near downtown.
I really enjoyed being at the pool and some of the neighbors were friendly but I couldn’t justify the price and safety issues to stay.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I hadn’t been in an apt in ages and didn’t feel research was necessary before moving in. WOW. Was I wrong or what?!? Wish I had looked up this place BEFORE I agreed to live here. After looking at other websites that review them AND websites that the employees do the reviewing, I’m shocked that they are even still in business.
From the get go this place has been a nightmare. I have a total of over 55 (quit counting, prolly over 75) documented communications (phone calls and emails) sent in just in the first week of living here!!!
I had:
–dirty cabinets that needed to be wiped out
–a lightbulb out, complete light fixtures out
–missing gasket in my faucet
–dirty bathrooms
–broken oven drawer
–dirty baseboards/​blinds
–broken closet fixtures
Calling my apt «move in ready» would be an utter and complete fabrication.
Not only did they take forever to complete everything, but they falsely filled out work orders as completed for replacing the lightbulb several times!!! Quite humorous… I would come home from work and see they had obviously NOT replaced the lightbulb. I even sent a picture of the lightbulb out after they had left me the first completed work order saying it was done!!! I finally just went a bought a lightbulb myself. Working great since, so obviously there wasn’t any other problem. IT WAS A FRIGGIN LIGHTBULB! Geeze, you’d think they could at least get that right.
And the saga continues. The manager «Marcelis» of the community FINALLY calls me 2 MONTHS after move in and is an arrogant prick from the get go on the phone. He wouldn’t even identify himself. It took three questions before it was acknowledged that he was the manager of the apt complex I live at and that he was calling to address the complaints. What a royal schmuk he is to deal with!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This place has been a terrible place to be a resident of. I have renewed my lease twice (been here since 2010), only b/​c I don’t want to repay pet deposits. This property was taken over by CWS within the past year. Since then, this has become a very REACTIVE AND NOT PROACTIVE property. I’ve spoken with neighbors, who have had their cars broken into (in fact one neighbor had hers and hers spouses vehicle broken into). I have seen two trucks on blocks with tires/​rims stolen. I have had multiple neighbors tell me that they have seen drug deals. For me, I just think overall the property is not maintained. The pond is typically quite littered with trash. The trash cans around the pond fill up over the weekends, so much that there is trash everywhere, including the pond. This is a poorly lit facility, perfect environment for crime. I’ve seen three street lamps around the property be blown over by the wind in just the past few months, none were ever replaced, nor was a solution come to, to address the lighting issues. There are plenty of snakes due to the pond. Just 3 weeks ago, I saw two very large water moccasins, so it would be nice to be able to see where you’re walking. The years it has been really dry, plenty of additional wildlife comes out looking for water, skunks, possums, armadillos, bunnies.
Most of the equipment in the gym is new, but good luck finding it clean. The gym is rarely cleaned. Dust is accumulated under the cardio equipment and in corners, gym wipes aren’t replaced in a timely fashion, trash also overflows, if it even makes it into the trash can. If you want it cleaned, you have to ask. Same goes for the tanning room. i’ve also had to ask staff to clean it up, as the floors were filthy. Most of the office staff is a nightmare to work with, mostly due to lack of communication amongst themselves, and just overall incompetence. I can’t tell you how many conversations we had with the staff (face to face, via email, via phone), b/​c they kept lacking or losing our documents when we tried to renew. You’ll always get a cordial BS response when addressing management.
The only nice thing I have to say is that there are some pleasant maintenance men, who fulfill needs in a timely manner (the whopping 2 or 3 times I’ve requested it). But unfortunately, that isn’t enough to make someone want to become a resident of this property.
My advice, RUN!!! The deal can’t be good enough!

I have lived in this complex since February of 2011. In April of 2012, the property was purchased by CWS and the name changed to Marquis at Center Ridge (from Bella Springs). Prior to the change in ownership, this complex was ok but not recommendable. It’s a good location and the grounds are nice. However, the buildings are not aging well, the parking is a nightmare, and the former office staff was indescribably unprofessional. The new management has been better. The office staff, at least, have been professional and pleasant every single time I have interacted with them.
HOWEVER… I still cannot recommend this complex. When I leased this apartment, I leased it in my own name only. It’s mine. My apartment. Not anyone else’s. My boyfriend and I knew that he would not qualify, so he’s not on the lease. This is my apartment and I ALONE am responsible for paying the rent. When CWS assumed the lease, they required that ALL occupants submit to criminal and credit background checks. My boyfriend had been previously listed as «occupant only, not a lessee.» Now he is required to be on my lease, whether I want him there or not. To highlight the ridiculousness of this policy, let me point out: They also required that my teenage daughter, who only lives with us for about 3 weeks a year when not in school, submit to background checks and be put on the lease. Think on that. **My child is required to be listed as a responsible party on my lease.**
So… now, nine months later, they have just gotten around to processing the background checks they required last April, and — no surprise — they aren’t happy with my boyfriend’s results. So after two years of paying my rent on time, every time, this week I was notified that my lease will not be renewed. I’m being forced out of my home.
That’s what you can expect from CWS.
Other than the ludicrous corporate silliness… the parking is still a nightmare, the appliances and fixtures are aging out, and the units are not well soundproofed, even for an apartment. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing.
What can you expect from your neighbors here, aside from noise? Last weekend something happened that I think perfectly captures the neighborliness of this «community.» A wheelchair bound resident out for a stroll (or a roll) in the courtyard ran into trouble. Her back wheel slid off the sidewalk and she got stuck. The sound of the chair motor straining and the wheel grinding against the pavement were enough to wake the dead. Despite the fact that this was a Sunday afternoon and the sound of her distress was echoing off three well-​occupied buildings (and one man was even lounging on a picnic table 30 yards away), the residents of only ONE apartment — mine — went down to help her out. No one else. So I suppose it’s fair to say this is a good place to live if you want to be left alone.

This apartment complex seems to have an identity crisis. I looked at it first when I was moving to Austin and then one more time when I was moving from a nearby complex looking for a nice but affordable apartment. It was definitely on my potential list, but never my first choice.
Swimming pool is exquisite with multiple pools, fountains, etc. It actually would be considered resort-​quality by my standards. The rest of the buildings seem plain. Very basic floor plans with dark interiors. It looks like they used to have a gate but have completely removed it where you enter the complex. Mixture of car types around the lot, but not a bad clientele.
Could be a good at its price point, but wouldn’t necessarily keep out the rif-​raff.
Also, both times I have been, the office staff have not been interested in really renting me an apartment. It seems as though it’s a here’s the model, take it or leave it situation. As a note: I happen to be able to afford this apartment quite easily and am not Section 8 or anything of that sort.
