Because Austin doesn’t have enough live music venues, East Austin has given birth to one more, for your listening pleasure! This place was really cool, I’d liken it to a more hip and much scaled down version of The Backyard. The red lights on stage cast an ethereal look on the trees and formed an awesome backdrop to The Black and White Years as they did their thang last night. Smooth! The bar set up worked quite well, I don’t think we ever had to wait in line for a drink despite the large crowd(and the drinks were seriously on the cheaper side of life). It’s cash only, but the the Scoot Inn is just a hop, skip and a jump away if you’re in need of an ATM. The only thing I’d like to see more of is portapotties(but, I’m a girl, so that’s like the story of my life). But keep it on the DL, folks, otherwise this cool little piece of East Side heaven will all go to hell!
