I hosted a small business meeting in the Charlie hall near the pool tables on January 22. Great customer service all around! Steve was super helpful in helping me organize and finalize the events for the meeting. We had a small hiccup with setting up the projector. But Steve was on it! And never once doubted he could make it work. He even went out and bought speakers for the sound. Awesome job! One side point, I ended up having to use my mifi instead of using the wifi provided. It just seemed a bit slow for our mtg. But overall, I would definitely recommend this place! Also, thanks to the waiter and waitress that helped with our event.:)

This place is adult fun! Great food, great drinks(try a very old fashioned) it’s my favorite and the best one I have ever had anywhere! My wife also had her Company Christmas party here and it was open bar and I got to try many of the drinks so you can’t go wrong on whatever you choose. The service was knock your socks off awesome and the games are on point!

«Say something nice or don’t say anything at all» goes the saying so here’s the something nice: the food was mostly good. Otherwise I would not recommend having an event here. The customer service was poor to the point that we were treated more like a nuisance and less like a paying customer for a large party. From the start of the experience, with conflicting parties that cut our time short being blamed on the computer system; to the middle, being told things via phone that were then fulfilled with irritation and contempt when we asked for the service promised; to the end, when the events manager swore at us when discussing us taking the food home that we’d paid for as well as getting bumped from our reserved space earlier than was in the contract — the attitude was bad from the start and we should have canceled the whole thing and went somewhere else to begin with. I’m sorry I gave them our money. I won’t do it again.

I have been wanting to try this place for several months. I have and I will not be going back. I do not want to rant, but give a few observations about my experience. The Good — a bartender greeted me almost immediately when I sat down in the bar area. The Bad — everything(except the beer) after that great beginning was poor — from the service to the food. They have ½ dozen craft beers on tap, but they do not have a menu to look at — so you have to listen close while the bartender rattles them off, very quickly, that it is hard to understand. Finally was able to order a beer and asked for a menu. After about 10 minutes or more, was finally able to get a different bartender to answer a few questions about the rib eye sliders and the hamburgers. The server was unable to tell me how much meat was actually on the sliders or what size the burgers were(¼, 1/3, or ½ lb). The size and amount of meat on the sliders was exaggerated — no one ever checked back to see if I wanted another beer, or if the food was ok — nothing. It was $ 14 for 3 sliders and it was mostly bread and very little meat. I think I had unrealistic expectations. The goodnight has a small bowling alley, ping pong tables and other games. I had heard they had great food, good service. I thought it was an upscale restaurant with some games and fun — but I think it is better described as place to go and play some games that has a bar and food available. We all know how bad bowling alley food and service can be and that is what I experienced during my visit to The Goodnight.

The BEst mac n cheese I’ve ever had, amazing grilled cheese and tomato soup, delicious spicy bloody Mary’s, and their baked Brie is the bomb. The bowling is super fun and vintage but you have to take your own score as there isn’t automatic scoring system. But the balls and lanes are vintage looking which is cool and there are ping pong tables and pool tables and ski ball. So something for everyone. I’m definitely loving the hipster move for bowling alleys these days.

Went to a holiday party here last week. What a neat place! Loved the karaōke, and the bowling, as well as the pool. The drinks and food were icing on the cake. A catered buffet was served, that included sliders, bacon wrapped shrimp, and baked brie for appetizers. Main course included a chopped salad, roasted vegetable, baked salmon, a carving station with prime rib and mac and cheese. I was happily surprised at the quality of the food. The bar was pouring heavy as well. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Had a fantastic time at the party, and will definitely be back on another occasion.

This place is going to suffer from the poor customer service. Just left there tonight completely irritated and unimpressed(much like the waitress and hostess I came in contact with). I arrived to meet up with friends to see a sign on the door saying that all gaming is reserved. No pool tables, bowling, ping pong, etc. You pretty much can’t go past the bar. That’s fine and all because that expectation was put out there before you get in. What I didn’t appreciate was the 3rd degree I got when I walked in because much, but not all of the place was reserved. All I said was that I was meeting up with friends that already had a table. She asked for the name and said since it wasn’t on the list I couldn’t come in because it was reserved. I let her know that my friends were in the open area that wasn’t a part of the party that was going on. I went back and forth with her not listening to anything I was saying until she was like fine just go look then. After finding friends and having a seat I was greeted by a waitress looking unhappy about being there. She asked me what I wanted. No hi, no drink specials, nothing. I asked if there were any ciders on tap and she said she didn’t know. I asked if they had Angry Orchard in the bottle, she didn’t know. I asked what was on tap, didn’t know much. Finally I ordered an amaretto sour. Got the drink. Very small glass, full with ice and literally a splash of amaretto. Got ready to leave about an hour later(after she didn’t check in with us once) and I had to flag her down to get the check, to which she again looked bothered to do. After getting the check, I was charged for top shelf when I wanted well and it was extremely overpriced($ 9) for the size and alcohol content. The check was $ 12 and some change so I gave her a $ 20. She came back with all ones and none of my change. Not only was it presumptuous to bring all ones, she should never keep any amount of someone else’s money. Yeah it’s only change that I might have left anyway, but don’t just keep it. Come on. Not going back. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: Lots of games to play with friends(when it isn’t booked) just be ready to pay a pretty penny for it Décor is nice Cons: Parking is a pain and you will have to walk from the end of the strip mall if it’s busy Service is horrible Overpriced everything. Food, games, drinks.

The Goodnight is fantastic, and is it worth the price. I’ve now been twice. For a long afternoon of celebrating a friend and second time for their happy hour. Here’s my takeaway: I love their food. I don’t know if it is the firewood that they use or the ingredients but it is top notch. When I was walking in through the parking lot I could smell the fragrant oak emanating fragrantly from the side of the building. — I’ve experienced exceptional service both times. You will not experience top-notch service like this elsewhere in Austin. — The interior of the restaurant is fantastic. Bowling alleys, beautiful lighting, and unique décor make it elegant, but but super fun. You feel like a million bucks when you walk in. –When a vendor wants to take you out to one of «Austin’s best restaurants», consider coming here.

This is a trendy spot! Full of young folks! It’s very expensive, so expensive that I won’t go unless it’s happy hour. After 2 hours of gaming, food, and cocktails you can easily spend $ 200! Service both times I been has been great, very fast and friendly. They make a mean white Russian! Did I mention free bowling from 11am-4pm!

Holy retro bowling alley!!! This place makes me happy! I absolutely LOVE bowling. I used to be pretty good at it, but injuries have taken my once mad 14# skills to a pathetic 8# ball that won’t kill my elbow. Still fun, but only in moderation now. I’ve been here for HH before, and really enjoyed the HH food. The truffle fries, mac n cheese, & some other things we’ve shared. But my last visit was special & is the reason for my review. We had a challenge at work for a team builder. Of course, I’m super competitive & really wanted to win for our team. So, we did. Yup, I drove everyone a bit nuts with my team leadership skills, but we did it, beating another team who thought they had an easy win. HA! It’s all about the teamwork. :) Anyway, we picked The Goodnight bc it had all the components for a fun evening. Bowling, check! Booze, check! Yummy food, check! What I did don’t realize before we arrived was how totally old school this place was for bowling. Super open(and slightly dangerous ball return), check. MANUALSCORING? Check. Super fun! I had to teach everyone how to keep score. The food was so good! Especially the baked Brie. OMG to die for! Everything we ordered was delicious. My only complaint(and they lose a star for this) was the server took my half-consumed drink before I was finished & did not replace it. At $ 9 a drink, that’s really unforgivable. Other than that, it really was a perfect place for happy hour and beyond.

Always have a good experience here. Not my favorite place, but fires on several cylinders for me. :) The bowling is meh, the food is ok, the bar has a good strong pour, but the ping pong and the karaōke room take the cake. Only bummer is not being able to take the kdis.

Really impressed with The Goodnight space. Tons of options for entertainment complimented by good drinks and tasty food. Between bowling, pool, ping pong & skeeball there are too many things to play for one evening. Overall, the staff is friendly, they have a trivia night and good prices. I’m always up for a night at The Goodnight

Last night we were enjoying an incredible meal with family celebrating our wedding. We love the place for its atmosphere, the Deep Eddy Sweet Tea, the food, and the great service. Seating is always fast and we have only waited once for a table. The service last night was amazing and I wanted to share why. There was a little burp in our experience but the response by the waiter and the head Chef made me love this place even more. The Chef addressed the situation and offered us a free desert. He went above and beyond what I would have ever expected and explained the processes and procedures the restaurant has in place to reduce the problem we experienced.(I’m going to be frank and say there was a hair in a salad) This is one of my favorite places in Austin. We love the wait staff, the bartenders, and the kitchen team. We never have a bad experience and look forward to many more visits.

Get more than one server working the bowling lanes on a Saturday night! I’m pretty sure our server was the only one working back there. He was running all over the place but there’s only so much one person can do and it affected the service and you could tell he was irritated. I didn’t like that at all. The calamari was bland and not crisp enough. The queso dip trio was very good and the tomato sliders were very good. You have to hand score your own games which is kind of annoying when you just want to chill and converse with your group. If you’re going to have the paper scoring then please make sure the pencils are sharpened. The two we found were barely useable. I think the experience I had was really affected by the service. I know I already put in my two cents about that but I can’t get past it really. We were having to flag down our server as he came by and that’s not good. You should be able to bowl and talk and snack and not worry about trying to grab your server’s attention before he runs off.

A great change of scenery from your typical sports bar! Drinks, fun games, and food all in one place– perfect for adults to spend some time with a group. Though the activities and libations are not cheap, their happy hour and reverse happy hour specials make up for that. Games and activities include skeeball, pool, ping pong, kareoke, and bowling. Or you can totally just watch everyone else or a football game on tv from one of the dining tables or booths. On a Saturday night, the place was pretty crowded with all bowling lanes filled, all pool tables reserved, and all kareoke time slots taken for the night. Nevertheless, my group still found fun things to do while sipping our cocktails. Food smelled great, but we had already eaten. A great change for a night(or do brunch!) as opposed to sitting at your local bar.

4 stars for the«very old fashioned» cocktail. My date had the reuben, which he said he loved… I had brussels sprouts and fries… odd combo but hey thats what I was feelin. I also had a mexican martini… which wasn’t bad… the show stealer was that old fashioned they make there… OMG. Ill roll over there just for that!

Terribly disappointing. We came out of our way to visit The Goodnight on a road trip to Austin. We were seated on the patio for dinner and completely forgotten about for at least 10 minutes. Another 10 – 15 minutes later we received our watered down unsweet teas with melted ice and no sweetener. And then just like a ghost our server was gone again. When our appetizer came we had to flag down a different server and ask if he could get us utensils. Then when we finally flagged down a server to get us our check and run our card, their systems were down. So we were forced to wait around for quite some time until they could run our card. I don’t normally promote not leaving a tip for service, but in all honestly, no one here earned their tip. I would never go back and would not suggest you waste your time if you’re from out of town like we were. There are far better places to go in Austin.

Come for the bowling, leave for food and drinks elsewhere. I really like the concept behind this place. I’ve been to a few like it and the experiences have been good. This one just missed the mark on the food and drink portion for me. I came here with a group a few weeks ago. My wife and I arrived early and decided to sit at the bar to grab a drink while we waited for our friends. Judging by the bar setup, I was given the impression that this joint could crank out some fine craft cocktails. We picked a few drinks from their signature menu and they were both duds unfortunately. The bartender that helped us must have been under rehearsed because halfway through making the first drink, they made a mistake and had to dump and restart. We went for beers the second round. Our friends arrived and we decided to grab a bite while we waited for our lane to be ready. We ordered a Chef’s board to start(cheese & charcuterie). Both the meats and cheeses were dried out and very tough, as though they don’t move this dish very often. Portion size was also very small for its $ 17 price tag, very disappointed here. Based off our servers recommendation, we tried the Rueben Fries which did redeem the kitchen somewhat. Bowling was a good time! We had a blast, the lanes around us were friendly and fun to be around. Getting the lane going, grabbing our shoes, was all very easy to navigate. Keep in mind, there is no automated scoring system so be prepared to ask Siri how bowling scoring works and have someone write down each person’s score. This is a bit annoying given the fact that there are plenty of drinks involved and halfway through the game you’ll probably give up on keeping score because you’d rather talk to your friends and have fun and not do math. At the end of the day I’d definitely come back here to bowl again but next time I’ll will find a bar/restaurant for before or after to complete my night.

The Goodnight is an okay place to grab a drink, a light snack if you’re hungry, and hang out with friends. It’s definitely pricey and doesn’t have much in the way of food/menu that really makes it stand out. Our favorite menu item thus far are the reuben fries(I WOULD return for these). It comes with generous chunks of pastrami. There is a lot of flavor with the cheese and sauerkraut mix and the overall result is splendid. However, the chicken wrap($ 11) failed to impress. It was dry and seriously overwhelming on the herb seasoning. The saving point of my sad dinner was the leafy greens salad that I had to pay an additional $ 2 to have added onto my order. Overall, my bill was hefty and I’m unsure if it was worth it. Parking is stressful in this shopping complex during the weekends so expect to circle around.

Ok Goodnight. I have family in town and wanted somewhere reliable to take them. I’ve been here several times before and never had a problem so I thought it’d be good. I was wrong. The service was terrible. The waiter only came to our table once after ordering our drinks. We had to flag down a manger to get our food order taken down. When the food finally came out, we had no utensils. We got up to get utensils from the bar. They didn’t have any. We then had to flag down the manager again to get out utensils because our waiter was no where to be seen. By the time we ate, the food was cold. Still no waiter 20 minutes after all this. We had to get the manager to bring the check. During all of this, no apology was made. Not even an excuse that it was understaffed. It wasn’t even that busy when we were there. Way to make me look like an idiot for choosing this place to take my family.
