The Nines Men’s Grooming

Honestly, The Nines is fantastic. You’re in for a treat. The whole place is designed to make you feel comfortable. The interior is very chill and the people working there are so nice. They offer a range of services; haircuts, beard trims, straight razor shaves, massages, etc. And they have beer, why not. I went for a birthday/​bachelor party to start the evening off right. It was great. Just go. It’s perfect and I’ll be back.

Found this place online and wanted to get cleaned up for a date with my wife. My experience here with Kat was top notch, attention to detail was amazing, hands down the best mens grooming salon I have ever visited.

CJ has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now, even before she started her own business. I followed her when she opened The Nines. She has always been fantastic with her services, and I’ve had great cuts every single time. Plus The Nines is such a cool spot too! It feels both modern and retro, and is simply a nice and classy place. Rather than feeling like a haircut is some chore to get over with as quickly as possible, I actually look forward to my visits there. If anyone is looking for a classy establishment for their grooming needs, I would highly recommend The Nines!

CJ has been cutting my hair for four years. She is an excellent stylist who I highly recommend.

The Nines is the best place for a man’s haircut and more. From the moment you walk in, you realize you’ve finally made a good decision: the interior is like a cool lounge and the people who work at the Nines (Kat is the best stylist hands down) are super friendly.
In addition to haircuts (which include a shoulder a massage that is amazing!!), they have Thai massage and other cool dude-​centric services.
You will never get your hair cut anywhere else once you visit the Nines.

I’ve been having my hair cut by CJ for a couple of years now. By far the most skilled person I’ve found since moving to Austin, and she’s super personable. CJ always remembers things I have going on, and makes it more like visiting a friend than just getting a haircut.
The new location is AWESOME! Not only is it more convenient for me, but the ambiance and general mood of the place is VERY cool. Super classy inside.
I really can’t recommend them enough, and I think the other reviews reflect that as well.

No need to do anything here other than echo all of the other reviews posted. CJ is great and The Nines is a cool shop in South Austin. Always happy to support local businesses, especially those run as well as this one is. Best men’s haircut in Austin.

I got a massage from Anne yesterday. It was my first time to get one at The Nines and I think she beats the local competition (Milk & Honey is great, but I’ll be coming back here next time instead). Best men’s massage in Austin.

Far and away my favorite place to get a haircut in all of Austin. CJ is the best. The space has a really great energy. Highly recommended.

CJ is über talented. I’ve been following her for two years. How she remembers if she’s going to cut my hair shorter or longer than the last time with all of those different customers, I’ll never know.

CJ has been cutting my hair for 10 years now. She is the only person I will go to for a full on haircut. That says a lot as I am a barber myself. She is pure magic with a pair of scissors and her clipper cuts rival the best barbers I know. She knows what you need so skip the long detailed explanations of what you think you want. No matter how bad a description you give she will save you from yourself. She’s a pro, you will get the cut you need. The kind you’ll look at In a picture 20 years from now and not feel like a 7^th grader. Sit back enjoy the view and let her work her magic. Congratulations, your free to fret over your questionable fashion sense because you no longer have to worry about your hair. At least until it falls out, then you can bounce over to Kat’s barber chair and she will straight razor shave your head clean. CJ will tell you when it’s time. Just hope you can handle the truth. If you can’t get in with CJ, Kat is one of Austin’s legendary barber babes and she will do you right as well. The shop name is modestly The Nine’s, but the talents are perfect «10“s.

Kat has assembled an all-​star men’s grooming team at the Nines! She’s been cutting my hair for years and her ability to deliver the style and results I request is unmatched. And I can’t wait until Amy’s ashiatsu massage setup is complete. That’s the best technique for those that like firm pressure and deep massage.

There are haircuts… and then there are HAIRCUTS! Kat saw what I had been doing for the past few decades… then made slight changes that were amazing. I feel better and I look better. I’ve received a ton of compliments and positive comments since I started using The Nines Men’s Grooming. Super nice, extremely talented folks, cool place, awesome cuts! I may even grow a beard, just so I can stop in and get it trimmed :)
