I love this neat place! Came in to try the new soup menu tonight. I wanted to try the cream of mushroom. Perfect for my type. Not too spicy, but I’m sure you can add all you wish to it. Creamy! Exactly what I wanted. Nice flatbread to dip into the rest of your soup. Austin has all kinds of local gems but this place is always the right combo any night.

Being only my second time here, I was ready and excited to eat their being that I enjoyed my first experience so much with my kids. Second time around, I was brought to the realization that it’s not a kid friendly place. The first time they allowed my son’s to play pool with no problems. Spend about 10.00 on two pinball machines and one pool table. Second time around, we went to ask for change to have them play, and we were told if we only supervised and taught them. My kids are not the outgoing type, but I do understand their concerns was well. Regardless, we will not be conning back. Its a shame, but I don’t want to fell unwelcome where ever I eat. Great place food, but just don’t take your kids their. Food 8.5 Customer Service: 4.5

The best place in Austin we’ve been so far! Great food and great service. The juke box selections are unprecedented. Had SUCH a wonderful experience with bar tenders Corey and Rachel. As touring musicians, it’s nice to find a cool hole-in-the-wall type of place. To learn more about our adventures, visit

She already knows what I want. Throwing a row of quarters in my hand, and nodding towards the jukebox. Outside, i’m cool, calm, and collected. Yet, inside my brain pops around like an adolescent teenage boy getting his first kiss. I stroll over to what is the best jukebox in this over-blown city. The familiar click of the jukebox numbered keys make me smile. I know shortly I will be sitting across the table from a beautiful conversationalist, sipping a well-needed drink, and quickly stuffing my face in one of the best pizzas you can have in Austin. Voi Vod… check Hank Williams, Sr. …check Television…check Elvis Costello… check BauHaus…check Dead Kennedys… check Back to my seat, I sit. It’s dark, enough. It’s Sunday, enough. It’s relaxing, enough. I laugh a little on the inside. Obviously on the outside, too. «What you laughing at?», she inquires. I look into her bright, lucid eyes. «All this, and we never waited in line», I state the obvious. Thank you Parlor. I will come to you until the day we both cease to exist.

Do Not go with a large group! Went just last Friday and they had one person handling the bar and taking orders. Did I mention it was on a Friday night? The lady who was at the counter was all blasé about it was ridiculous! I watch 2 tables leave that had placed orders. Our own food was wrong on 2 orders and 1 forgotten. The pizza is usually decent and the jukebox is great, but for the service, we would of dropped a lot of money here.

Great jukebox and damn good pizza with vegan options. The crust is crispy and cooked all the way through which seems to be difficult for many places to figure out, Very laid back like hanging in your best friend’s garage. Full bar with a small but adequate beer selection. If Chili’s is poison to you, this is your place!

I like the relaxed, open atmosphere here. I like to come get a beer and slice of pizza(which is usually pretty large), but getting a whole pizza is quite pricey. Kudos for vegan choices. I also like their frequently-revolving wall art(some terrible, some great, like anywhere else).

From the look of it, and the look of the pizza, you’d be shocked to know this pizza was edible. Interestingly tasty pie

The staff is terrific, and the beer selection is just fine. The pizza crust borders on cardboard and the sauce is uninspired. I want this to be better. Ambience = dusty hole in the wall. But, it was fun playing Ms. Pac-Man and pinball.

An awesome dive bar with great beer and pizza. One thing that makes this place unique? Their vegan pizza toppings!

This is a great little beer joint to get a brew hang out and even grab a pizza if you want. The pizza is not the best I’ve ever had by any means, but the service and atmosphere here are great.

I’ve gone to The Parlor twice and thought the pizza was ok, but was more turned off by apathetic service. Each time I’ve gone, it was later in the evening and the place was fairly empty. I sat by the bar and someone comes by and takes my order more than 5 minutes later. The pizza itself was ok. It wasn’t bad, the crust was really dry. The last time I stopped by was just before closing time and they only had slices of pepperoni pizza. I got 3 slices of that and had an upset stomach later.

A buddy and I went here to get a pizza for lunch, first mistake was we were the only ones there at noon. The pizza came out fairly quickly and unfortunately it wasn’t that good. The crust tasted like it was frozen and the tomato sauce just didn’t taste right. My friend told me a few hours later the pizza made him sick, which is rare because he’ll eat almost anything. I can’t recommend the pizza, it bombed.

Craved pizza. Parlor was the only thing open. Went for the first time and it didn’t hit the right pizza notes with me.

Really good pizza, ordered a size small for two people and still had left overs. Saturday night they serve $ 3 beer, I forgot the specific name of it but it’s delicious. The music is a bit different but overall I like this place and I would love to stop by here again.

The pizza is very mediocre and overpriced if you get the vegan meat options($ 5 extra to any pizza). Most of which they don’t have all the time according to Unilocal reviews. The vegan pepperoni is very thick and pretty tasteless which is unfortunate because I really wanted the chicken which they did not have. It is definitely more of a bar than a pizza place. The staff/bartender was very friendly and the atmosphere of the bar is perfectly divey. I’d come for the beer and skip the pizza unless you’re really buzzed.

By far the best vegan cheese pizza in town. Go in and have nice pie and a pitcher of beer with your sweetie, or a pal, or a few. I’m terrified The Parlor will disappear, so hurry and patronize this place before we lose Austin! I’m gonna maybe go with best jukebox, too. Butthole Surfers, Roky Erickson, you know, Austin and stuff. It’s way too quiet, and you can’t hear it though, so… Wouldn’t mind if they cleaned the place up a little. Atmosphere, it could use a little atmosphere.

For me, it’s the hipster/metal/punk/skater/tattoo vibe and the backyard patio dining that do it. Oh so very Austin. Used to live down the street… and I miss it. And the gruyère spinach pizza, with fresh tomato and garlic. That was my standard order, and it’s awesome. And some Lone Star on tap. Ice cold. Hot day. MMM. Yes, there are other styles of pizza out there, and some people like them better. But this bliss, in North Loop, this little slice of heaven, is worth checking out, especially if you’re from out of town. Go here. Get you some. And if you’re lucky, the band will be slamming.

We came here after I had just been hit on my Motorcycle, in desperate need of a beer and a slice of pizza. We ordered the Gunnar and ice cold beers. We wound up eating through two slices before we realized they had brought us the wrong pizza. We brought this to the bartenders attention, and he was beyond accommodating. The staff was more apologetic than the person who had hit me earlier in the day. The Gunnar turned out great and we could not have been happier with the way they took care of us.
