The have hands down the best plus size section of any thrift store I’ve ever been in! The prices are awesome, especially with the rotating monthly specials. I got a gorgeous Torrid shirt, 2 pairs of Lane Bryant Slacks, a Lane Bryant blouse, and a pair of Levi’s for my boyfriend and spent $ 55. It’s amazing! Definitely a must go to for a plus size thrift shopper!

HOLY SCHAMOLY, THRIFTERS! Why wasn’t I aware of this golden gem of a spot?! SO. MUCH. SELECTION!!!
The ladies working were so helpful and friendly in my frantic search of gloves needed for an Inspire Pro show. I had been searching for a few hours and they had them in abundance.
I couldn’t help but then peruse the rest of the store once my sense of sheer panic was over from the «get the gloves!!!» hunt.
All sizes, colors and so much without looking in any form of disarray. I cannot wait to go back and spend time.
Thrifty Peacock, those tail feathers spread and shaking about lured me in and I am smitten!

I recently decided to clean out my closet and wanted to take the clothes to a resale shop. All of the items were clean and in great condition– some things still had the price tag on them.
I reviewed what stores were the most popular and decided to visit the top two in my area. The first stop took an hour to review my clothes and then only wanted two items! They said they liked my style and the brands I had brought in, however the pieces were more than a year or two old. I don’t know about you, but I do not have the time or money to clean out my closet every year…
So, off to the second place on my list– The Thrift Peacock…
As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the Owner. She was so friendly and helpful. She said I could leave my clothes and she would call me when she was done reviewing everything.
Within 30 minutes she called and wanted almost everything I had left! I drove back over to the shop and grabbed my cash!
I could have easily spent the money in her store because there was some really good stuff, she even showed me some items that had just been brought in.
So, if you need to clean out your closet and want some cash– visit this place! You may even replenish it with some great deals while you are there!!!

So much selection and so good prices! Very cute and unique things! I recommend with no reservations! I have gotten several cute dresses from there and get compliments on them frequently! It’s new but it will soon be a big hit!

I haven’t actually bought anything here yet, but I’ve browsed 3 – 4 times and I’m impressed. I wish Thrifty Peacock had been around for me 75 lbs ago because they would’ve been a thrifty lifesaver for me. Haven’t seen a curated thrift shop with this good of a plus size selection in my lifetime.

We are new to Austin and spent a whole Saturday visiting various antique and thrift stores throughout the area and our last stop was The Thrifty Peacock. We ended up finding 4 – 5 tops for me and a winter coat for my youngest son. We will definitely be coming back — staff was helpful and clothes were in great shape and beautiful!

I’ve never been inside the Thrifty Peacock, I live in North Carolina. However, after falling in love with a costume for Halloween in a local store, and realizing it was a bit too small, I went on a web search to find it online. That proved extremely difficult, either it was twice the price of the retail value, which put it at over $ 200 or it was out of stock in the size I needed.
I went to the third page of Google in desperation (because no one goes past page 2 unless they are crazy desperate) and happened upon a Facebook post Thrifty Peacock had written about having the costume in stock. I rang them up and I am not sure who I talked to but after pleading my case she agreed to ship it to me, for HALF the retail cost of the costume. I just received it, it’s exactly what I wanted, in PERFECT condition. I put it on, walked into my husbands office, and he let out a stammering ‘wow!’ before he remembered to mute his conference call. All I can say is, THANK YOU! This year my neighborhood has a circus theme Halloween party and I needed something that wasn’t trashy but still pretty, this fit the bill, arrived on time, and cost half of what it would have elsewhere.

Great selection and prices. Initially came in and bought a beautiful french sitting chair (which I get tons of compliments on), I’ve been back several times and I never leave empty handed. I would recommend adding this place to your consignment/​thrifting rotation for sure.
