It seems Tony C’s has worked out the kinks and the food has been consitently good as has the service on my past few visits. We even had a fun Saturday night there as they turn it into more of a nightclub scene and bring in a dJ to spin some tunes. My only complaint that keeps them from receiving a higher rating is that one cannot have just a slice of pizza unless they are sitting at the bar. They really, really should rethink that. I don’t want to order a whole pizza when I’m seated in the restaurant as my husband and I have totally different tastes and we don’t want to order a whole pie. Bravo Tony C’s!!!

Évaluation du lieu : 2 Austin, TX
A NY native, I had high hopes going in. But instead of great pizza in a neighborhood environment, Tony C’s uses high style — and uncomfortable — fixtures to match high prices. Except for the staff — who were friendly and competent — nothing about the place says«stay.» There are warm-looking flames coming out of the oven, but we were chilled to the bone by a draft. The first slice of our large sausage pizza($ 18) was warm and, because we were hungry, tasted good. But by the second slice, I had to admit to my dining partner that the crust was flavorless except for some scorched bits of flour, and the seasoning was bland. The third member of our party did enjoy his chicken parmigiana sandwich. Staff offered free refills on soft drinks and tea. We didn’t spring for wine or anything at the bar because the pizza seemed pricey(the same pie at Home Slice on So. Congress would run $ 15.50). A generous slice of cheesecake served at the next table looked inviting. I have to think Tony C’s is after the after-movie crowd looking for dessert, coffee or a glass of wine, and that for good pizza in the ‘hood, I’ll have to keep hunting.
