Tow Time

I’m not sure how to rate this company. I would give the tow truck driver a 4 to 5 star rating. I would give the lot attendant a minus 4 to 5 star rating. My car was involved in an accident and the tow truck driver saw it happen. He stopped, called for Police Fire & EMS. Then stayed on scene. After the initial investigation by all the agencies he move all the involved cares to a side street. He then towed my car to the yard.
The next day my family and I went to collect our personal items from the car. The yard attendant was very curt and would not allow my family and I to go to the car. He stated something about regulations. He opened the gate to the yard and I went in. I did not have a key to get into the car so I walked up to the office door. He very curt in stating that I was not allowed to walk up to the office. If that was the case then why didn’t I get the key when I signed the paper work to see the car. While I was at the car he played watch dog on me making me feel like a criminal looting my own car.
This is not the first time I have gone to a impound lot to get things out of a care. It is the only time I was watched like a criminal. It is not a good feeling.
If you have any choice please DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Horrible Service. The tow truck driver had a beard and sunglasses. He refused to allow our insurance to cover the tow service and would not offer any assistance until we paid him $ 150 cash first. He will likely charge our instance too to «double dip.» The company is a scam.

Same rude experience when My Car was towed. Now it has some damages to the front. 193.30 USD for 10 mins parking when the business was closed om 4^th of July in Austin when there was no parking was available. I parked at 10.20 and it was gone 10.30 pm. My son 14 years old was with me at that time. Same treatment as mentioned by another victim here. We were asked to stay out of their property, my licence was in the car so I had to go in to collect it to identify myself. Abusive language, when I asked if they had a lower charge since I was there as soon as the car was brought in.

Predatory business. Our car was towed during the Chinese New Year celebration along with dozens of other cars. We were parked in a lot where the no parking sign was around the corner of a shop that was closed for the day. When I called to find out where my car had been taken to I was hung up on 3 times. As we waited behind other people getting their cars back we totaled the amount based on a sign near the window. Our estimate was between $ 79 – 90 based on the tow and storage fee for 3 hours. When we got to the window I was told it was $ 190. When I asked where there numbers came from pointing to the sign of prices next to window the clerk said «no the are listed around the corner on the gate. I will never attend any more events in that area again. I also will not patronize any businesses in the area that use Tow Time services.

Stay away from this borderline illegal company at all costs. My family and I were attending the Chinese New Year celebration at the nearby Chinatown center and decided to park at a small business that was closed because it was a Sunday. There were other patrons parked all around us and there was no sign saying you couldn’t park there. We came back and our car along with other cars had been town by these criminals. They patrolled the streets and towed people’s cars and then had the gall to charge $ 200/​car to get your car out of impound. There was a line of people that were paying that fell victim to these assclowns. They should be arrested for this sort of practice and shut down! Boycott this company and all area business that use them for towning! These jerks should be locked up for this sort of theft!
