Best flatbread I’ve had. Love the vibe and the beer selections. Margaritas are class. Dive bar local vibe. 5 stars!

My review has absolutely nothing to do with the food. Sadly, I never got to try the food here due to some issues the establishment was having with staff. I made a reservation through opentable for my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend. He had already treated me to a dinner for the special day, and I wanted to be able to treat him to a nice dinner as well. The restaurant is actually above the Chicago bar(hence the word«Upstairs» in the name of the place). When we arrived, we saw 2 people sitting at the bar and no one else. This seemed odd for a Saturday night. We were about to go upstairs when the 2 people told us they were employees and the restaurant was closed due to a mass exodus of staff members over the holidays. Now I can’t blame the place for unforseen events like that, but it was a disappointment to have a reservation for a special day and see that it cant pan out due to lack of communication.

Note– we didn’t actually get to dine here so take this review as a reflection of their service not the actual food/place! We booked a reservation for 8PM on NYE, about 4 days in advance. I tried calling several times to confirm it because it was NYE so figured I should… even though really, they should have called me to confirm right? I had the confirmation email of the reservation so thought we’d be good. Anyway they never answered their phone, so I emailed them… a few hours before our reservation, on NYE, they emailed me back to say Upstairs was closed on NYE. Umm okay?! Not very helpful given it was 5PM on New Years Eve at that point… they did offer us a table at the downstairs bar but atmosphere seemed completely different so we opted against it. All in all, not impressed with their response and service on this, so I give that 2 stars.

This is not a Tapas restaurant. It is a bar. The website is deceiving. We came in expecting tapas and drinks. We got a limited menu of appetizers. Thank goodness the bruschetta was really good. We left looking for dinner. The bartender/waitress was very accommodating.

Great tapas, great drinks, great service. Casual atmosphere with quite nitches to sit in as well as large tables. You can be as social or intimate as you choose. Would be a great place for a party or a date. Will definitely be back.

Trinity upstairs was a great stop on a lazy Sunday afternoon. We were early and the only customers but our server Paoula made us feel like royalty. Great prices and service.

Some dear friends and I booked Upstairs on Trinity for my wife’s 40th birthday party last weekend and it was a blast. The Kaitlyns, Tim and Paola took excellent care of us. They went above and beyond with service and they allowed us to decorate and act like we owned the joint well after the fact. We also had a great time at Vinyl downstairs. It was exactly the party my wife was hoping for, and all of our guests were treated well and enjoyed the food. I highly recommend these guys for service, food and drink and for private parties. Cheers!

This place is great! The flatbread pizzas are awesome!(And I’m picky about pizza). We had the truffle pizza And the chicken pizza. Wish I remembered the names better. The ingredients were fresh and I can’t wait to try the other pizzas. Alex was our bartender and she went above and beyond for us. I was so surprised the place wasn’t packed. I think it’s because no one really knows about it yet. Great atmosphere also.

The newly renovated upstairs space of Chicago House — I dig the new decorations and high top tables. The drapes and rich red colors make the space warm and inviting. I love that you have to walk through Chicago House to get to this venue — up their beautiful staircase. They have a new menu and I will say the tartines were delicious and their craft cocktails were well made. I tried their Manhattan & I loved it! Even before they changed the name to Upstairs on Trinity I always thought this venue would be perfect for a special private party or a wedding reception. I love the exposed brick and the large open windows –showing a killer view of downtown.

So I got invited to go to the grand opening of this place and was pleasantly surprised to all the changes that they did. First off you have to go through Chicago House to get in, which I think is kind of cool since I love this bar in the first place. Then you go up the stairs. As you go up it you notice the change in décor, bright red curtains, beautiful spherical chandeliers, and this really nice bar with a huge rack of wines. Because it was their grand opening they gave out two free drink vouchers, either from the well drinks of beers on draft. Since I knew we were right above the Chicago House I knew their beer list had be good, and it was despite it being more limited… but that’s OK! Their wines were also excellent! My group ended up splitting up a few flatbreads. And let me tell ya, they were delish, we ordered two mushroom, and spinach flatbread with truffle oil. These were delicious. I love how thin the crust was and how crunchy each and every bite was. We also had some complimentary pesto, tomato, and onion flatbread which was excellent. Even one of the managers came out and offered us this salmon hors d’oeuvres on a crustini and with cucumber, and a little sauce. The presentation for this was impeccable and it tasted really, really fresh. In terms of the service, we were blown away. Our waiter had great recommendations was super friendly and knew told us all about the wine. We actually liked the pinot noir that we had so much that we drank all of their bottles! The manager, he told us that since the wine was such a hit they were going to put it on their permanent menu! As they were testing out their menu. The staff here were incredibly attentive and really wanted input on every dish or drink that was served in order perfect anything that may be off. But in my opinion Trinity did not have anything«off» about it. I look forward to returning here. This is a chill, laid back place for small plates and where you can actually hear the people in your party. Highly recommend!

The owners of the Chicago House recently opened Upstairs on Trinity and the Vinyl Room. I stopped in during Upstairs soft opening and was pleased with the cozy space. The décor is rich reds, exposed brick and the space is dimly lit. They pour 10 of the beers they serve downstairs(all craft beer) and have a unique cocktail menu which appeared to be on the sweeter side. Jesse ordered«The New Old Fashioned» with Slow and Low whiskey, a sugar cube, cherry, blueberries and bitters. Despite the bitters it was rather sweet. I ordered a Mountain Door Malbec which was delicious and reasonably priced at $ 7 a glass. They sell Austin’s own Antonelli’s Cheese plates and Delysia truffles to pair with their extensive wine and champagne menu. We did not try any of the food ourselves but we did join a few friends who were happily enjoying their charcuterie plate and flat bread pizza. This would be a great place for both date night or to relax with friends. Happy hour is 4pm-7pm daily and includes $ 1 off beer and $ 2 off cocktails from their cocktail menu.
