Best peruvian food in town! Cook to perfection and with the most amazing flavor! You will get addicted to these. Thank you so much! Missing home is not so bad when you can eat these.

Adam was so great with the cuisine and service! We got the pork belly bun which was perfectly prepared because the crunch of the fat came out just right. The freshly marinated tender beef heart made me nostalgic for the old Peruvian lady who made it once for a festival in Houston I once went to. I stuffed myself with the aji amarillo chicken with garlic rice and couldn’t stop until it was gone. I cleaned my plate and will go back again. I apologize for the drunks that may have made it hard for Adam that night but he stood his ground like a true chef. I was impressed and will definitely remember that night.

Food is really flavorful and came out quickly! The location was perfect since we wanted to grab food quickly before going to some bars in the area. Adam was sweet and accommodating. Glad we stopped while visiting Austin.

It is located in the center of the city, so convenient if you want to grab a drink later in the evening. I had the chicken sandwich here, the bread tasted very soft and had a distinct good flavor to it unlike the regular buns which made the sandwich tasty. The chicken stuffing was tasty with lots of onions and capsicum with some spices to it and there was very less cheese, perfect for me. The french fries that came with it was not great. It was a different taste for sure. My husband had the lemon chicken with rice(9) where he felt the rice wasnt cooked well and chicken was decent. Their sauce that came with it was good one. Decent priced and open late night which awesome

The location of this food truck is AMAZING. Seeing a show at the Ritz? this is a GREAT place to get some food beforehand if you’re not feeling Alamo’s menu. The person cooking when we were there was super nice — he gave me great suggestions and even some samples to try things we didn’t order. That definitely earns them an extra star. I got the Lomo Saltado(beef/veggies/rice) and some Alfajores(shortbread cookies with dulce de leche). The Lomo saltado was filling and satisfying, but kind of acidic. The alfajores were AMAZING — i kind of wish i had ordered a few more. The cookies are softer than i expected, and the tiny size of these cookies is perfect. Can’t wait to go back and try some sandwiches!

My family and I participated in food tasting this October at trucklandia fest and this was one of the trucks giving out samples I had never tasted Peruvian food but if this place is what it’s all about ill definitely try it again. I’m sad I haven’t been back since then because it was so tasty. I would recommend being adventurous and stopping by to try this place and getting one of the sandwiches. We got to sample each one but my fav was the Lomo salteado. Plus try the tiny cookies they have and get like five or six for your self cause they are addictive but like tic tac’s of the cookie world very tiny. They have four or five tiny tables to sit at and are usually busy so have someone save a seat while you order if you want eat there.

I normally do not go to food trailers because the food is usually not healthy, but had the chance to try this place out. I had the ceviche and oh my gosh… ITWASDELICIOUS !! I honestly have to say it was the best ceviche I have EVERHAD! The spices were amazing & really spicy… Just the way I like it! I have tried ceviche lots of places & have never found one I truly liked! However, I have found one I absolutely love! I will definitely go back ! I want to try everything on the menu now! Highly recommend this place ! This is really authentic !

I don’t understand what the hype is about. This place was beyond mediocre. I tried the Lomo Saltado(beef stir fry) and the Lucuma ice cream. The Lomo Saltado was bland.(The meat was also tough, but not unpleasantly so.) I don’t know how something that had been stir fried with onions and peppers could be so bland. The sauce it comes with is not particularly exciting, but it is pleasantly spicy, masking the flavorless dish some. The rice was undercooked and hard. The Lucuma ice cream should not have been served. It tasted of freezer burn and had stuck to the container so badly that it had paper in it when they gave it to me. I paid in cash, tipping a dollar and waiting for my ~80 cents change, but, despite my tipping, they just didn’t make change. What the heck? Round up the price you’re giving me if you’re not going to make change.

Food was ok, not bad, not great. Good portions but overprice. The location is great but parking is a big problem.

Best place to get ceviche. It’s made with big chunks of fish, choclo(looks like roasted hominy) AND a big shaven sweet potato on top. Man, I love dis place! Just tried those lil cookies they got there too and DANGGGG. Sometimes I go in the broad daylight when I opt out of participating with the rest of the 2am downtown sludge(said with love) Anyway, sometimes I go like at 7 when everything’s peaceful and people watch and the warm Texas sun’s going down. This is what Austin’s about.

Great street grub JUST off 6th St. The best trailer near«Dirty 6th.» 9.99 for a large plate. 5.99 small plates. Saltado de Pollo is my favorite.

After a night of drinking on 6th, saw this food truck and immediately got excited to eat some Peruvian food. I’ve seen the good reviews from Unilocal, and I thought it was worth a shot. I ordered the Lomo Saltado. I thought the workers were really nice, but just thought the food fell a little short. I love Peruvian food, but didn’t think this place did it justice. Would probably do in a pinch though.

The only food truck in this corner open on Sundays… who knew the food truck scene was dead on Sundays? Chef’s favorite was the lomo saltado, I decided to skip the rice and get it on a sandwich. The beef was very well made and I loved all the peppers and onion on my sandwich. The sandwich even came with fries! Their is a great, albeit smalll, seating area right next to the truck, so don’t be afraid to sit down and eat.

First of all this is not real peruvian food because there is no taste of peruvian spices you can taste in Lomo saltado which is the peruvian national dish. I have gone to the real restaurants in Boston and I also know how to make it. So this is a place for those who don’t know the real taste of peruvian food.

Had something really bad here recently. I can’t remember what it’s called, but it had fish and some lime juice in it… and omg no it just didn’t work. The problem was is that it was way too juicy and the fish tasted so wrong… like… idk how to describe it… everything about it was just wrong. The guy who runs the truck was very apologetic tho’ so I will come back here sometime and try something else out by him, but for now I’ll keep this at a 1 star.

I stumbled across this food truck while exploring Austin’s «dirty» 6th street. My friend and I were eyeing the truck when the guy inside offered to give us samples. We tried #9 Arroz con Pollo(2⁄5), which tasted like my local Tex-Mex chicken over rice entrée. We were in dire need to find food before heading to a performance. Having 30 minutes left to eat, we decided to give Llama’s a shot, for the other 2 food trucks in the same lot were not appealing. Small Plates-Menu #1−3 are $ 5.99 each. Big Plates-Menu #4−11 are $ 9.99 each. ** You can order half-orders ** I had trouble deciding what I wanted and wasn’t in the mood for a burger/sandwich. After several minutes of debating between #7 and #10, I ordered #7 Lomo Saltado(3⁄5). Beef Stir Fry, Tomatoes, Red Onions, Oyster Sauce, Beef Soy Sauce, Fried Potatoes, Green Onions, Cilantro over Rice. It was weird eating fries and rice after another. I loved the onions and beef, which had good amount of flavor. I still felt like something was lacking though. An additional sauce or spice? Overall, it was a solid meal but wasn’t impressed. My friend ordered #6 Lomo Saltado Sanguche con Frites(3.5÷5). This was similar to #7 but served in a torta bun without rice. If I had to pick, I recommend this over #7 because I love bread! Sauce was dripping out and soaking the buns… Too much of it. After I tried about 4 bites, the sandwich was too over-whelming. I can imagine this being a great choice when inebriated on 6th street. Portions are pretty good for the amount you’re paying. I’m not sure if I would come back on my own. Food was great to get rid of our hunger, but I would probably try the other food trucks in town before coming back. Do not forget to check in Unilocal to receive a free drink with a food purchase! I didn’t know and paid for the Purple Corn drink(don’t know the name). It tasted like Kool-Aid though!

Great lomo Saltado. Menu is about the size you would expect from a food stand/truck if not a little bigger. They have a pretty wide selection with the 12 entrees they offer and I wish I had time to try more. Top of my list to try next would have been the chicken and rice or the #1, which was some sort of loaded fries. The papas in the lomo Saltado were wonderful, perfectly fried and flavorful. This makes me pretty confident in their«loaded fries.» I also really enjoyed the hot sauce that came with it, forgive me, I don’t know it’s real name.

I’ve been here twice now and both times the food was surprisingly good. No matter that it’s 1am and people are lurching around like maniacs, this food truck delivers on good, seemingly fresh/made to order food. We don’t have a lot of Peruvian places and so it’s kind of fun to eschew the Roppolo’s line and hit up something more adventurous in the wee hours. I’ve had the lomo saltado, the aji de gallina, the arroz con pollo and they’re all as good as anything I’ve had elsewhere. Of course, that elusive ceviche is always sold out but one day… Be warned. Your food will take foreeeever. Or what feels like forever at that time of night. But the portions are reasonable and the food is good and you’re not that girl without any shoes on so you’re still way ahead of the pack.
