The food was very, very good. We had fish, vegetarian, and potato and egg tacos, along with mango smoothies. Nothing at all to complain about there. But there was a long wait, and it was compounded by people ordering well after us yet getting their food first. I understand the long wait, and we were warned that it would be 30 – 35 minutes to get our food. But it wound up being 45 minutes, and the people who work here should understand how frustrating it is for us customers to watch four-five people who ordered after us get their food first. We’re still deciding if we’re going to go back. There’s no excuse for preparing food out of order like that, especially when we didn’t order anything out of the ordinary.

In from out of town and the wanting true Austin breakfast tacos, the Unilocal guided us here last Saturday. We were not disappointed. Between the two of us, we tried a chorizo, pastor and steak taco. All were good, but the pastor was amazing. I usually order corn tortillas, but opted for flour. A serendipitous change, as their flour tortillas were spectacular. If I had to guess, I would think they were made to order. The hot sauces and salsa were a great accompaniment and the guacamole was perfect. Took some restraint to not go back on Sunday.

They’re simple street tacos and WAY over-rated! Absolutely NOT worth the 45 minute wait! We went there for a «quick» lunch in between weekend errands. Unfortunately the 4 tacos we ordered took over 45 minutes to get! We got 2 fish and 2 mole tacos. The food was fine, but we could have had just as decent of street tacos anywhere in Austin and not wait an hour to get them.

Call ahead and get the migas or the huevo con chorizo. All the salsas are delicious so get them all. The ladies who run it certainly have their own charm. I love them but that’s cuz were raza.

Good tacos, though not the best I had in Austin. Got there an hour after opening and they were out of most smoothies. Decent wait as well and our order was off. I was scared a bird was going to shit on me the entire time until I moved tables. Complaints aside, I was overall pleased with my meal. The fish taco was definitely memorable, but the al pastor leaved something to be desired. Worth a trip, but definitely check out some of the other area taco stands as well.

Best Migas ever. It’s the only thing I get here. The Agua Frescas are really good, too. The customer service is kind of lacking but it doesn’t stop me from going. The wait here is always super long so call your order in ahead of time.

My mouth and belly are happy campers after a trip to Veracruz this morning. After perusing a few reviews, I went with a migas taco and also a chorizo and egg taco. And coffee — required at 7:45AM on a Saturday. The coffee was from Texas Coffee Traders — I’m not fond of their beans, but was very pleasantly surprised — nice robust flavor that didn’t need any milk or sugar. The Migas was heaven on a tortilla — beautiful fluffy eggs and a goodly amount of tasty avocado. The tortilla strips were light, and there was enough cheese and pico to know they were there, but not to overwhelm the eggs and avocado. Dang, I want to drive back there and get another! The chorizo and eggs were a good choice, too — chorizo struck that nice balance between spicy, fatty and juicy. Eggs were again done perfectly. I didn’t like any of the salsas, but you know what — they were superfluous.

Best tacos in Austin! This location gets very busy. Sometimes the wait times for tacos is around 45min on the weekends. That’s a long time but if you haven’t tried their tacos IT’S WORTHTHEWAIT! I’m a huge fan of their fish taco and the la reyna breakfast taco. Everything on their menu is great though. Enjoy :)

Food in Austin is just too good. I’m only knocking off a star because the food took 20ish minutes(though she did warn us that it would) and the steak taco was just so-so. The migas were above average. But the star, the star my friends is the al pastor taco with the works. GETTHEALPASTORTACO. Okay, my work here is done.

This place literally messes up my order every time I go and I go at least once a week. On top of that, its always takes longer than the quoted wait time. I called in an order for pick-up today, they told me 30 minutes. I came 35 minutes after the order was placed, it still wasn’t ready and sadly enough I wasn’t at all surprised. It for real took them nearly 50 minutes to make my 6 tacos. I get home to find that 4 of the 6 tacos were made wrong. I had to question if I grabbed someone else’s order. I didn’t bother taking them back, my girlfriend and I just ate them cause we were starving from waiting for almost an hour. Despite their awful disorganized service, they do make some of the best tacos in town which is why I put myself thru the torture of ordering from them every week. I love them, I just want them to get their sh*t together, this could easily be a 5 star review.

Terribly overrated. I’ve been there twice and both times had poor service from confused staff. My last visit: Walked up to the trailer early Saturday morning and tried to figure out where to go. The left window has a big ramp with a big puddle of water at the bottom, and the other one has a step ladder kind of thing. I go with the big ramp, and spend a minute or two trying to figure out what to do. There is a window, but inside it is mostly blocked by equipment, and it’s completely fogged. There is a sign that says to ring a bell, but there is no bell. I stand around long enough for someone to open the window, and I see that it really is mostly blocked, but that’s where they take orders from. My order was taken by a girl who was maybe 15 years old. I had read on Eater that they had«expanded to brunch» and that their migas were amazing, so I asked about that. She said«uh no I don’t think so». I ordered migas tacos instead. I asked about the bell and she said«there’s no bell», again confused. While I was paying, someone else walked over and said«you must be talking about Sunday, when we have brunch. But I don’t think we are going to do that tomorrow.» Then she said yes, there is a bell. There were only two other people there, and when my food was ready, the person handing out the food was also confused. Three migas? Two migas? Who is this for? Yet there I am holding a number they gave me, but she’s not calling a number. I got my food and it was just ok. The salsa is really good though. The first visit was pretty much the same thing. I don’t see myself going back. BTW — the only reason I went is because the name is «all natural». I thought maybe they promote pasture eggs, organic vegetables, etc., but I didn’t see any indication of that. Tips for the business owner: consider reprinting your menus, training your staff, putting in something to avoid the big puddle, put weights on the curtains to make that little tent stay warmer(the tent with a heater is a great idea, btw!), and make the ordering process much more obvious.

The saying that sketchy places make the best food, holds true for this little place. Its a school bus permanently parked in a dirt lot next to a piñata party place. You’d miss it if you weren’t looking for it, and maybe even if you are looking. I passed it my first time by. All the rave about these migas tacos. I couldn’t leave Austin without them. I went with 2 after the girl’s suggestion«if you’re hungry get 2». They are large and filling, I could have eaten 1 with my coffee and been fine. Although it is a ton of chips, I took a handful out and there was still enough. The eggs are scrambled with cilantro and maybe some other stuff. They were tasty on their own. No dry rubbery stuff. There were too many chips for my liking but I just took them off. The salsa was WAY too overpowering vinegar. Pass the TUMS. It ruined one taco –good thing I got 2. The red sauce is hot, but is a nice flavor. The tortillas are made in house. I watched these ladies make tortillas at the window as I waited for my tacos. The tacos were good but I personally would have liked to try it without the chips. I bet it would have been great still.

Man, Austin has some great food. These are by far the best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. I tried the migos taco and loved it. So much flavor going on in each bite and the texture is great with the tortilla chips inside. I also made my own taco with sausage egg and potatoes and that was delicious as well. Great potatoes.

Not sure how in the world it took me so long to finally try Veracruz(its been bookmarked for over a year), but I finally did. I had some friends in town and wanted to get some good breakfast tacos but also wanted to try something new so Verazcruz it was. We showed up around 11am on a Monday and there were a couple other people sitting at the outdoor tables but no line to order. I ordered the veggie breakfast taco and the migas. Let me start by saying there is rarely a meal that I get with out some type of meat and leave feeling full but that has not been proven all wrong. Both tacos were extremely hot(as in to touch) and also massive. Two tacos was the perfect amount of food, although I could have probably ate more. The veggie taco had so much flavor in there that you would think it wasn’t even real. Not much to say about the migas taco that hasn’t been said already, its incredible. I WILLBEBACK! Many more times.

Some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! I wish I lived in Austin so I could get some more often. I used to think that all tacos were about the same, but I changed my mind after coming here. The tortillas are so important! Veracruz makes their own corn tortillas, which are just sooo much better than normal corn tortillas from other taco places. The corn tortillas here are more tender, less dry and crumbly, and hold the taco together pretty well instead of just falling apart. They actually taste like corn… super delicious. I would definitely recommend getting corn tortillas here, but the flour tortillas are good too :). The fillings are also generous for the breakfast tacos as well as the street tacos. The bf and I ate 5 tacos between the two of us and we were really stuffed. We tried the migas, fish, chorizo and egg, la reyna, and al pastor tacos. My favorites were the migas and the al pastor. The tortilla strips in the migas taco were still crunchy and added texture to the taco, which I really enjoyed. The wait was a little long because they make everything to order, but it was worth it. I can’t wait to come back again!

Tacos! Veracruz may be the best all around taco spot in town. Someone may make a better barbacoa taco and someone may make a better al pastor taco but nobody is as consistently good as these guys are. The fish tacos were hearty and the chipotle sauce that came with them really rounded the entire flavor out nicely. The barbacoa tacos were not overly fatty and the flavor was good. I recommend throwing their made in house salsa on these. The al pastor taco was really good because it wasn’t overly greasy. Get these loaded with pico and avocado and you will not be disappointed. We also got the chips and salsa to snack on while waiting. Which reminds me this place makes everything in house so do not come here if you are in a hurry. They get busy but are worth the wait. The chips are thick and closer to a tostada than a chip. The salsa is spicy but not too hot, really fresh flavor. A perfect appetizer(also they offer guac but I did not try it but I am sure it is also good). Finally if you are not able to make it to this location they also have a trailer parked at Radio on Manchaca and Fort View.

Don’t click on the map because it gives the wrong pinpoint! Anyway, after going in circles to different locations, we finally found the place. Line isn’t so long and is worth maybe a 10 minute wait. Since it is a truck, you’ll be seated outdoors. There’s shared shared tables, around but the majority seems to be near garbage and dumpsters. So you will have flies around you while eating. Other than that, all tasted great. $ 35 for 3 tacos, a special, agua fresca, coffee, and bottled water. The al pastor was my favorite among the tacos. The watermelon fresca was good too.

Migaaaaas! My visit to Austin was full of hit or miss taco interactions (lots of near misses) but this this taco was a perfect taco. My SO got a fish taco and declared it was his perfect fish taco. We’ve been searching for a year or so and this is where we landed, you guys. It’s important to note that there are salsas here and there is one that will almost taste like nothing but hot. You should use that one. If you like a mild pain while eating definitely use that one. Again, migaaaaas!

So. Good. Food: Delicious. All the breakfast tacos(so cheap too!), steak with the works, migas migas migas, and the chicken mole. Everything is good. And fresh. And good. Cannot emphasize how good this place is. Having only been to Austin twice, and in both trips, I’ve made a trip to this truck. And I can pretty much foresee all my future trips to Austin with a stop at this place. Brought the boyfriend from SF(who has had his fair share of endless tacos in every neighborhood) and even he can’t stop talking about the migas. The drinks too! The Berry Good smoothie is so fresh. Service: Friendly! They’ll let you know the wait time before you order so you can see if you want to stay. STAY. Ambiance: Outdoors with picnic tables and huge straw umbrellas. Cute place! The wait is no joke for just some tacos though. Like others have mentioned, it can range from 15 to 30 mins. On a Saturday, brunch time, the wait is about 35 – 40 mins for 3 tacos… which is a little sad considering we devoured the tacos in five mins… But yes, when you order, definitely get 2 tacos for each person! That way you can try more, and leave feeling full/minorly stuffed. We had plans to eat elsewhere very soon afterwards so we only ordered 3. Go! Go!
