This location has the worst parking lot ever. But they’re pretty efficient and friendly. I like the South lamar location better I think… but you can’t go wrong with whatever you get here. Simple, fresh and yummy

I keep wanting to like this place because my partner loves it. I seem to get a lot fat, not so tasty meat. I have tried several times and can say that I am not a big fan. I tried the falafel and I really enjoyed it. I keep trying to be a fan of a company that started here because the staff is great! I will probably visit again. Plus I am the duke since it is in my hood.

My first time eating here I really like gyros and gyro meat so I figured why not? Establishment was nice and clean and food was done in no time flat! I would have gave it 5 stars but my meat was dry and there wasn’t enough sauce to compensate so I had to drink water with every bite lol but other than that I may come Back again if I see them slice the meat right off the thingamajig

Vertskebap never fails. Everything is always fresh and very consistent. The service at this location is always top notch as well! I love this place!

We grabbed a couple different kebaps, my partner had the falafel and I had the lamb and beef. The lady serving us was very friendly, walking us through our first time, making recommendations as to additional ingredients etc. The kebaps themselves were tasty, the ingredients fresh, and in particular the falafel was fantastic. There’s no skimping on the ingredients so it makes for a good meal. The fries aren’t that great and the serving is fairly small, but this is a minor gripe. We’ll definitely return(after trying a few other kebab/kebap places!).

Good basic«Mediterranean» sandwich place: they skimp on the meat if you don’t ask for double so pay attention. I ordered the beef and lamb wrap: meat freshly sliced from the meat tack spinning by the heat, it was good if under flavored. Same with the falafel: good but under flavored. Not bad overall.

Absolutely love this. Best sweet potato fries I ever had. The wrap with lamb meat was delicious! And quite filling! Cozy friendly atmosphere. A new fav place in Austin.

Verts was one of the first new things I tried after I got to Austin and it sure didn’t disappoint. Both the beef/lamb and the chicken are delicious, and it’s pretty cool if you get a chance to catch them cutting off more. At this point I’ve tried almost everything they got and it’s all great. The falafel is a treat and both kinds of fries knocked my socks off. All the veggies are fresh and the sauces range from the pleasant house sauce to the Hot that can kick you in the teeth. Though my favorite has got to be the mix of their garlic and spicy red. The staff is very friendly and keep a nice atmosphere. Sometimes it gets a little slow but when you fry everything on a per order basis it’s to be expected. I had it recommended to me first and I gladly pass on that recommendation to anyone who will listen.

This is a mixed review. I went for a falafel wrap and man, that was delicious! The poor experience started when I asked the wrap maker to cut my falafel so it wasn’t balls, falling out all over me. The wrap maker obliged, went and got a knife and then oddly, a man came running out from where she was, super dramatic and said, «we don’t cut the falafel, we don’t do that here.»…so that was kinda weird and caught me totally off guard. I decided to cut it up myself, not exactly why i go out to eat since that is why I am paying someone else; so I don’t have to prepare my own meal! The other not so exciting part of my experience were the fries. I got a regular fry and they were totally burned up. You know the few brown fries among the pack that are good but you don’t prefer them… that was 98% of my fries. All I could taste was oil and burn. I ate a few and tossed them. This wasn’t an awesome time, the falafel was good but the rest was eh. Not in a hurry to return!

This is a very good option for reasonably healthy food. They are not pricey and the sauces are all delicious. I always get the original kebaps, authentic and awesome. Great service the manager is a very cool guy too.

I had the original, and it was delicious! The most impressive thing however, was the speed of service. I had my food just as I finished paying. I was a little confused by the ordering, as I placed my order I was given a little poker chip. I paid and the cashier didn’t ask for any chip. I gave it to her anyway and she just sort of set it aside. I don’t know what the purpose of the chip was… Prices were not bad at all. Love the outdoor seating. I’ll definitely be returning to try more things.

It’s better than nothing when I want a shawarma fix, but not really close enough to actual shawarma. I’ve had shawarma in the Middle East, and over there they actually cut the meat right off the vertical rotisserie into your sandwich so it’s hot and juicy. Here it seems like they just cut a portion of the meat off the rotisserie and let it sit in a steam heater where it dries up until a customer orders a kebap. If they changed their operating procedure to make the meat fresh and juicy it would be 5 stars, and I wouldn’t mind so much paying $ 8 for one shawarma wrap. By the way, you can get like 4 shawarma wraps for $ 8 in the Middle East. Also, I’m taking off a star for their customer service. This is how they talk to you: I walk in. «Hey BOSS.» Hey… «What can I get you BOSS.» I’ll have a verts original with beef. «All the way BOSS?» Yeah… «OKBOSS» FORTHELOVEOFGODSTOPCALLINGMEBOSS!

The service was slow but so friendly. Everyone working there was really nice. I love seeing happy employees and happy customers. The food was pretty standard, but all the ingredients tasted fresh and were well prepared. The bread is actually really good, looks like it came prepackaged though. The fries were really really good, but after about 10 minutes got soggy :(

It’s a Sunday and I wasn’t in the mood to go to a sit down restaurant since it’s brunch and I didn’t want to wait in line. I decided to go to VertsKebap which I haven’t been since they opened near my neighborhood. It’s something cheap, fresh, and healthy. You can either have it three ways, a salad, a kebap(which is a type of bread) or in a tortilla. Wasn’t in the mood for a salad, and I’ve always had tortilla wrapped in anything. I decided to have a kebap with beef & lamb. You get to choose what you want in your kebap. Behind you see the meat being cooked upright and they chop the meat when you order it. I put spring mix salad, tomato and house sauce in it. I must say it was really tasty and you don’t feel as though you ate all this fat.

Hangry… ok stop what your doing and listen to me… your life depends on it, this is what you’re gonna order… nahhhh shhhhh listen listen, this is how its gonna go down, order the kebap: — ½ beef & lamb, ½ chk — get the sauteed mushrooms & onions — grilled bell peppers & onions(optional) — iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers — ok listen close… get the house sauce & spicy sauce(don’t be a wuss its fine) and they’re gonna top it off for you at the end too… boom! — and lastly some feta …now pay the man, ask his name and kiss his hands for he’s gonna be family now …now go enjoy your reinvented relationship with kebap… go on, its fine …yeah, you’re welcome!

So delicious! I’m vegan and I love their falafel! Some of the tastiest I’ve ever had! I went recently just to get an order of the falafel instead of a wrap and the manager John suggested the vinaigrette to dip them in… Such a good idea! Thanks John! Nomnomnommmmm now I’m craving!

First time here. Staff was friendly and food is fresh. I had the chicken salad«Texan» style with two falafel added. Food was good and quite spicy(I’m a lightweight). Will come again

The food is great, service is great. My only complaint is a small, cheap one. .lol For $ 10.77 you get a kebap and drink. It really would be nice if for almost $ 11 bucks I atleast got chips or fries with it. Or the meal was a couple bucks cheaper. It is a small thing, I know. … Other than that food, awesome. Staff, great. Guy recommend the hot set up for my kebap. It was great. Just a couple bucks less and it would be 5 stars in my book. I will be back for sure. I recommend this place to everyone.

I have been to this location twice(I live walking distance, so I’m surprised it hasn’t been more), and I did notice a drastic dip between the ‘soft opening’ visit, and today’s. To start, the staff are great. I like them, and they hopefully like me. I haven’t seen anyone be rude, or distracted, so good job on them. The location is clean, convenient, and nothing to really remark on. It’s simple, and that’s great! That’s their whole aesthetic. I will mention this though, my boyfriend and I got food from them today and both of us were like, «Seriously, what happened to the meat?»(It is of note that I am a former vegan who doesn’t even really like meat that much, so for me to notice a lack is telling). I had the most minuscule of shavings on my salad, and same for my boyfriend’s kebap. We’ve ordered from Verts(other locations) in the past, and this was an abnormally small amount, and made the semi-steep prices that they charge pretty hard to swallow. All in all, the workers seem sweet, and I think it’s great that they have beer on draft. For the amount that they charge, I hope they find a great balance in the meat to salad and meat to kebap ratio.
