I love Which Wich. It’s my favorite sandwich shop. But today, when I came to this one, I took too long doodling on my order bag while waiting for my dad to get to my location so he could pay for me. The workers were sneering at me and saying that«these stupid f***ing high school kids are taking ten f***ing minutes and making me sit at the cash register, it’s ok I can wait»

Fan of Which Wich in general, but this one is special, and not in a good way. So I’m pretty sure the staff at this store is permanently baked. No joke. The upside to that is they are super friendly and mellow. The down side is they screwed up my sandwich order 4 of the last 5 times I came in. Check out the Barn Door grocery across the street. They have better subs and they cost less.

Your typical Which Wich. I love the variety of sandwiches that you can get here and all the ways you can choose to customize it. I’ve never had a bad sandwich here! Plus they’re usually pretty quick about it and the sandwiches are very reasonably priced. The employees here are always friendly and social. I’ve never had a bad experience with one and in response to another Unilocaler’s horrific review, if one of them told me to have a «blessed day,» even as an atheist, I would not be offended. Sooo… Also! If you join their E-club, you get a free sandwich for your birthday! Woohoo!

By far the worst sandwich I’ve ever had in my life! I came because I had a coupon that said«any sandwich, chips and a 22oz drink for $ 6.» I didn’t even want the soft drink but I figured a deal’s a deal. Then the guy charged me $ 8.90 «because of the bacon and avocado.» It said any sandwich for $ 6? Anyway. They forgot to put the bacon on the sandwich after all that, not that it would have helped because the bread tasted like something you’d get out of the trash at a gas station. The whole thing was like cardboard. WOW.

This is the best sandwich place EVER, for vegans and vegetarians at least. Meatless options include black bean patty, caprese, tomato & avocado, Mediterranean, and my personal favorite, hummus. I assume black bean(and obviously, the caprese) are not vegan, but the others are. The key with the hummus sandwich(to which I add red onions, garlic, black olives, crushed red pepper and sometimes other vegetables) is to have them put the hummus on the bread BEFORE they toast it(the default rule is to put it on after the bread comes out of the oven). It makes it so much better. This location is clean and its staff is typical warm and friendly. Parking in the Triangle can be difficult at times, but there are some 10-minute spaces in front, and there are also drop-in spaces close by near Kick Butt and Snap Kitchen that you can use if necessary.

Consistently good sandwiches with a solid selection of cold and hot subs — this Texas-based chain is basically a better Subway. I like the Chicken Pesto hot sub. The Italian Grinder is solid(Jersey Mike’s does a better one but I like Which Wich’s better than nearby Mandola’s). I’ve tried other subs(Caprese, Turkeywich) and they are all good. Prices are reasonable and the to-go beverage cup is ginormous. Nice standby if you’re in a rush and need something quick.

I’m a fairly picky sandwich eater. Why, you might ask. Because, while I am an excellent cook, the quality of skill required to construct a sandwich is… negligible at best. If I want a sandwich, why the hell am I not just making one myself? That being said, a tasty selection of sandwich options, add-ons or a cute gimmick can totally buy me off like immunity in Law & Order. Why, you might ask again. Because, in this world of instant gratification — with everything at our fingertips — it’s hard for a concept to be that impressive. It’s hard for a sandwich to be that impressive. Well, Which Wich made a darn good sandwich for me! Location — it was easy to find with plenty of parking. It seemed like it would be ridiculously small, but it dealt with the lunch rush easily and efficiently. Service — from start to finish, I was impressed with the service. We had a 7 year old boy with us and they even entertained him while he watched his sandwich go into production. Ordering — I love the paper bag idea. I think it’s clever, inventive and novel. It makes food interactive, which I definitely enjoy. Food, like all other things in life, is all about the experience for me. Just good food isn’t going to cut it. Think about that amazing meal you had that was perfectly complimented by TERRIBLE service. Yes, we’ve all had those meals. Didn’t the terrible service dampen the gloriousness of the food. Yes, gloriousness. You’re lucky I didn’t say gloriosity. It was also a way to entertain the kids — LOVE that they have their own board! Food — I tried the regular Vegetarian on wheat with hummus, avocado, fat free Italian, lettuce, pickles, black olives, mushrooms, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and Parmesan. And it was delicious. I have my doubts that they make their hummus in-house, but it’s still tasty. Oh, and the fact that they mix their own chocolate milk right there — in front of the kids? Great entertainment value. All in all, it’s a lovely sandwich place. It’s definitely A-OK. I’m not driving out of my way to get to one, but if I happen to stumble across one in my travels, I’ll grab a bite to eat!

A consistent tasty sandwich. If you are a regular here I would suggest getting the $ 25 gift card(You get a free sandwich when you buy one!) I have kind of stayed clear of here for the past two weeks because of the mass Groupon-ites(I think 8500 were sold in Austin that day!). I went in today and had a pleasant experience. Likes about this place: 1. I don’t get the Subway smell on my clothes 2. The brown bag is great if you don’t feel like chatting it up 3. The newspaper racks 4. They are hot sandwiches, this is where Jimmy Johns misses the boat(Great you can get me my sandwich before I get my change back but you can’t heat it, come on J-Johns?) 5. Ok, it’s a chain but a darn good one. 6. For the most part healthy depending on which sandwich you get

This particular location is SLOW. On a Saturday afternoon for lunch, the entire restaurant was full of people waiting for their sandwiches, and only 2 people were behind the counter. It literally took us 30 minutes to get our sandwiches. Wtf Which Wich?

I love which which. The buffalo chicken with caramelized onions with lettuce on wheat never disappoints me. A little pricier than subway, but well worth it, could be bigger but if Im hungry I add extra meat for another buck.

I hate Subway, but I loved Which Wich, here’s why: All the food at Subway tastes plastic and fake to me: the bread, the«meats», the«cheeses», etc. The food at Which Wich was fab: super great bread, really good chicken. I love the ordering at Which Wich: you just pick a bag, mark off everything you want on your sandwich and hand it to the cashier. I hate standing around at other sub shops while a worker asks a million questions about what you want. My chicken salad sandwich was great, especially awesome bread. The combo is a reasonable price, ordering was easy, and they have good iced tea. Score.

I was a bit skeptical to try this chain since there are so many great local sandwich places, but it’s been kind of taunting me since I got here so I caved and ordered my first sandwich. I have to report, I am pleasantly surprised by the quality! I ordered the Turkey with my own personal fixings and it was so good. I didn’t even know they came toasted! The choices are a bit overwhelming, but I like that you don’t have to freaking yell out your fixings like subway. They just take care of it for you. The only downside to this location appears to be parking… there isn’t enough. Overall, I give this chain high marks for a tasty and cheap sandwich/lunch.

i completely admit the only reason i stopped in here was because i had a coupon for a free coffee at the new kick butt(eh) and finding a place to park was such a bitch i figured i might as well take advantage of my spot and grab some lunch too. i should also lay it out that i hate the triangle and all it stands for, on top my old dog park and hide-in-the-weeds-and-watch-the-clouds place. so anything over here i regard with a suspicious, slightly bitter eye. that said… it was my first time in a which wich and i was a little overwhelmed and confused at first(who designs a place in the western world that works from right to left?, and the only way the signage in this place could be any more obnoxious is that if it actually yelled at you). ordering a sammich shouldn’t really require a lot of thinking, in my perfect world. the(new) gal at the registered waved me over, explained the process while her trainer *yelled* over her and kept asking me questions. i backed up out of the line to try and suss out the menu thingy. i decided on the option most likely to disappoint me: a shrimp po-boy. i keep ordering them places here in austin and almost without fail, they are a) WAY too expensive and b) not worth the inevitable disappointment i get every time(am looking at you, all places who serve po-boys and charge more than $ 6 or 7 and/or have the utter gall to put sprouts, thick beer batter shrimp and/or mustard on the sandwich– are you insane?). am happy to report i was not disappointed but pleasantly surprised. the shrimp probably could have been a little more crispy, but the flavor was right, the shrimp were not chewy, the bread was fresh and toasted, and i got it properly dressed(i even had them put pickles on there for me to pick off). the only missing item was the crystal sauce(or even tobasco), but i have that at home and fixed it up right. sandwich alone came in at just under $ 6. not bad at all. will be back to try some others, but am happy to find a reasonably good po-boy near home.

OK, most of the reviewers on this one are a bunch of whiny sissypantses. I loved my sandwich and who the F cares about the ambience, it’s a freakin’ SANDWICHSHOP. You complain about the Domain and its admittedly weird culty borg-y feel, you complain you have to be a yupster with a tennis racket to get good service… shut up! Why does everything in Austin have to have grunge-band-lip-labret-inked-head craziness about it in order to have any credibility? Geez oh Pete I like me a food establishment that’s CLEAN. I don’t care what exclamation points are on the wall etc. GRRRRR!!! So, off rant, on review: The parking is super easy to get in and out of(and it’s free!) There are an almost infinite number of choices for bread, filling, adornments, addons, and themes. The service was polite, friendly, prompt and accurate. The price was reasonable. Specifically, I had a caprese on whole wheat– pesto, tomatoes, and mozzarella– with a caramelized onion add on, and as all sandies are there, it was toasted. Oh yum what a kick ass sandwich! Really good flavor, just the right size, and I ate a bite of a friend’s brownie, which was likewise yummy(though a bit on the cakey side for me; I prefer fudgy brownies.) SHUTUPWHINERS. These sandwiches are good.

This place is the opposite of Jimmy John’s in that everything is slow. One time I waited 20 minutes for a turkey sandwich when the place was practically empty. The counter people are inconsistent and the prices are high for the small portion. Everyone in my office swore this place off long ago after having similar experiences.

I stopped by here to eat right after moving to Austin in April. I had never heard of this restaurant and had to try it. I really enjoyed the sandwiches and I love the way its all set up. I had family in town back in June and I brought them here and Everyone loved the food and service. I must say, they have the best strawberry Shakes I have ever had.

For the longest time, every one was eating or talking about which which. I drove by it or saw someone carrying a brown bag from it all the time it felt like. I finally tried it a while back and it didn’t knock me off my feet or anything like that~ I like the concept of the filling out your own order on tha bag and handin it over. I like the sandwiches pretty well. I still think I’d pick subway or schlotzskys over which which. I don’t really know why… I just like em better. The parking is RIDICULOUS here, I’m happy my new casa is less than a mile away so I have to deal with the parking far less than before.

whoa… what is wrong with the parking situation at the triangle? horrible! but wait, let me continue onto my review of which wich… i’m still debating if i consider this an awesome sandwich. i like the concept and design. 1 star for having hi-c fruit punch on tap. i chose the cuban sandwich. granted i was not expecting a «habana» cuban. it was nice to order it on wheat and not feel guilty but still… something is missing. maybe it’s the lack of warm bread. i like my sandwich warm and smooched together. i like my ingredients to meld into 1 taste. i’ll still return and try a few different choices. maybe i’ll become a fan 1 day. but which wich won’t ever take the place of schlotzsky’s in my heart and belly. no way.

New Which Wich location at the Triangle. After my first time at Which Wich, I didn’t feel quite excited enough to add them to my list of regular sandwich haunts. Today I’ll amend that list. I tend to like a sandwich shop menu that has a number of «pre-designed» sandwiches, but the Which Wich concept of designing your own can work out pretty well. It’s good for people who know what they want — not so good for the indecisive. Be warned — don’t go crazy with the cheez whiz and put EVERYTHING on your sandwich(because they do in-fact have Cheez Whiz if yer into that sort of thing). Think about what flavors go together… although this can take some trial and error. I went a little crazy on my recent visit to this new location at the Triangle — Pastrami on wheat, extra meat, provalone, sauerkraut, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers(called Giardenera on the menu) and oil and vinegar. Turns out I wasn’t so crazy as was a darn tasty sandwich. So — Which Wich = cheap eats. Basic sandwich is $ 4.75 — add .75 for extra meat or cheese — which I recommend if you’re a good eater like me. Compares pretty well with Potbelly. My internal iron chef jury of tastyness is still out on which wich joint rules supreme.
