you can never go wrong with a Which Wich! love the idea of this place and how it operates. I will mention however, of the times that I have been in here(this location) the workers behind the register/sandwich line were a bit rude. Nothing crazy, just a snap here or there and a sandwich toss on the counter as opposed to placing it. could be just that, of the times I’ve been in here — it was a bad day, who knows.

Called ahead to be in and out quickly. Got there about 20 mins after the order was placed and it wasn’t ready. Waited about 15 minutes for them to finally make my order… Left the building got in the car. Opened up my order(which was labeled correctly on the bag) to find two completely incorrect sandwiches… Like not even close to what I ordered. Awesome. Off to Thundercloud we go.

ordered a hotwich to find out that they gave me a coldwich– both of the workers are currently sitting on top of the table right behind the counters busy watching a video on their phones and talking to each other… terrible customer service: -(

I normally love this place but my bread was totallyyyy stale today :/maybe I should just stick with getting it toasted. The bread is normally great. Will probably update to 5 stars if it gets better in the next few weeks…

I was STILL mourning over the disappearance of my crab salad sub sandwiches when I accidentally found this place. Not only did they have it(front and center in it’s very own category!). But I could personally customize it – with as many of my other favirote toppings like Swiss, blue cheese, and add extra cheese and salad too. Okay it is not the healthiest sandwich in the world as a result. I DON“T CARE. This sandwich has become my signature sandwich every time I order. I am sure if I become famous-infamous that somebody is going to name it after me. The only thing actually irking me about this place is the lack of upfront pricing. You should keep a reciept from your last visit. Otherwise there will potentially be sticker shock when your fantasy sandwich and you are going to the cashier for checkout. It does add up. Hey folks, you could make a cheaper sandwich by picking up these items at the neighborhood grocery store. Just frequent this place when you really are on the run.

You go in and they have bags lined up for you to fill out based off of the different meats they have to offer(they also have vegetarian too). Once you have a bag, just check off all the stuff you want on your sandwich. Any average person is capable of making their sandwich amazing even if they christmas tree the checklist of what they want in the sandwich. This is smart on which wich because they barely include anything that would throw off the unity of ingredients in the sandwich. Come to the store and see for yourself what I mean. In any case, my one qualm with this place is that it’s rather pricey. The only times I do pay full price is for a milkshake, which even though is pretty basic in terms of ingredients(ice cream, flavoring, typical stuff), it’s pretty damn good. I HIGHLY recommend the oreo shake, and if you get a large, you get it in a plastic cup you get to keep! The milkshakes for some reason aren’t pricey at all. But yeah for the sandwiches I usually only come when the UME time app shows a deal. I’m not much of a sandwich person but in reality, even though Subway has 5 dollar foot longs and it would cost you 5.25 for a 7 in sandwich here, I’d probably still come here, because the sandwiches and ingredients in them just overall taste BETTER. I can’t vouch for the quality(I mean everything was fine to me but I can’t necessarily state it was of HIGH quality), but I can 100% declare it was better quality than subway. This is literally the only place on the drag I get sandwiches from. Fricano’s doesn’t count(which is extremely pricey but really worth it.) Overall, 9/10, would come back any day WITH a deal going on OR for a milkshake. Oh yeah, the cashiers/employees are kind of weird but it’s all in good intentions and they’re trying to have fun, so good for them :}

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had by far! Which Wich is not your typical Subway or Quiznos because their approach to individuality starts with you. You pick up a wrapper based on the meat of your choice and begin to select everything and anything you may want on your sandwich. I had never been to Which Wich until my visit to the University of Texas at Austin for a competition. I loved the closeness to the campus and the feel of the restaurant. For this particular visit I had The Wicked which is five meats and three cheeses. I was not disappointed when I took the first bite. The chips that are made in house are a tad bit spicy-ish because of the seasonings so if you don’t like spices, don’t get these. Overall, the restaurant is a great pick. The only tough decision you’ll have to make is Which Wich you’ll wnat to try next.

There was a period when I was really obsessed with Which which, but after having tasted many of their sandwiches: beef, chicken, italian, I have realized that they all taste pretty much the same. Don’t get me wrong. The sandwiches are still delicious, and I love the efficient ordering process. You come into the store and fill out a form on a brown paper bag, which will also be the paper bag your sandwich is put in. The form allows you to customize your sandwich and minimizes any chance of mistakes made from forgetfulness or mishearing at conventional fast-food sandwich places. Once you are done filling out the form, you can write your name or any name you want actually, and watch as your paper bag/order is moved in line. Even though after a while the sandwiches do get boring, Which wich still makes delicious fresh and toasty sandwiches.

I don’t have anything bad to say about this place. Although, compared to Subway, I would have to say Subway wins. Had the 7 inch Po-boy today which came out to 5.25 plus tax. Let me tell you that it did not fill me up like a $ 5 foot long from Subway would have. However, this place does have a large variety of different types of subs to choose from. So, if you’re feeling a bit on the exploring side of things, try Which Wich. I am sure they have something you haven’t tried before.

Which Wich was a nice addition to the drag when they added it a few years ago. It’s a decent place to stop for a sandwich, but it gets awfully busy during the lunch hours when school is in session. There are many comparables nearby. I would place Which Wich above Pita Pit but below Potbelly Sandwiches. Which Wich’s sandwiches give me the feeling that I am ordering ingredients that are mostly just slapped together between some bread. The advantage of the way they setup the ordering process is that you can order thousands of combinations by checking different boxes on your order bag. They nickle and dime you on a lot of those extras though. I will say the ice cream shakes are pretty awesome. Strawberry all the way for sure.

I like this place. I’ve had a couple of sandwiches which were fine, but last time I had the bowl. Keep yer bread. I’m sticking with the bowl. Yeah, ok, iceberg has about as much nutritional value as chewing gum, but the shredded iceberg mixed in with chicken, cucumber, bacon, olives, tomatoes, bell pepper, and those onion things. I hate getting the«bowl» version of a meal and finding out that all the good stuff was sitting on a pile of greens. I like a lot of stuff in my salad and this one delivered. Now. If you have a high-pitched voice and you talk very fast while looking down AND this is all taking place in a building with 18′ ceilings, people are not going to be able to understand you. Speak slower. Lower your pitch. Speak louder. Look at the customer. The young lady in question wasn’t being rude or surly: she smiled the whole time. But she was almost impossible to understand.

This place makes a solid, good sandwich. It’s not mind-blowingly awesome, and there’s nothing about the experience that is bad. It’s just not awesome, hence the three stars. I had seen Which Wiches in California, but it wasn’t until I moved to Austin that I actually stopped in at one. It’s very close to the UT Campus and the business school, so it’s a good place to grab lunch. When you walk in, you’re confronted by an enormous menu and a you ton of different paper bags. Basically, you grab a bag based on the category of the sandwich you want(meatball, seafood, turkey, Italian, etc). Then you use one of the provided markers to customize the sandwich with various toppings, dressings, condiments, and other accoutrements. Pickle, or no pickle? Toasted or no? Mustard? What kind of mustard? There are so many choices, as well as choices within choices, that selecting a sandwich was a bit daunting. But hey, at least there’s variety, right? After you hand in your bag and pay for the sandwich, you wait for the sub to be constructed. This can take a while depending on how busy they are. You can use the markers to draw a picture on the back of the bag. That way, you can see how many people are in front of you in line when the sandwiches are being constructed. The finished product is a tasty sandwich on a good white or wheat roll. I thought that the sandwich was a little«bready» for my taste, and I would have liked to see more meat and veggies. But it wasn’t bad. The prices are ok. Not a fantastic value, and not a rip-off. Overall, the sandwich is good. The price is good. It’s all good, but not great.

Which wich? Not this wich. Although they offer a substantial customization list, it isn’t enough. A sandwich chain should offer value, and at Which Wich I am left a little unsatisfied. Their ingredients are decent, but for the price I want something more than a baguette with a light meat and vegetable garnish. Not to mention, maybe the option of a nice sourdough bread instead of the lackluster offerings of white and wheat. Just because you keep a can of sauerkraut and a vat of Tzatziki on hand does not mean that a meager two bread offering suffices. Overall, a decent place. They have some holes in their menu, but the food isn’t bad. Just not what I consider to be an especially good deal when looked at from the quantity/cost or taste/cost ratios. For the same price, I’m going to Fricano’s.

I know what you’re thinking. Five stars for Which Wich? The one on Guadalupe location? Right near campus? Are you serious? Yeah, I’m serious. They’ve been consistently 4 to 4.5 stars in my book, but Which Wich’s food can’t take all the credit for the perfect score during this visit. It was the exceptional quality workmanship and over-the-top customer service I received from this guy named«Mike». I had a groupon and went to this location since I was in their neck of the woods. I’ve had Which Wich before, at this location, and it was pretty straight forward. I like the concept, good choices, never had any issues w/consistency, and the service has usually been all business. On this visit I ordered 2 sandwiches to go and watched Mike work his magic. He was like a surgeon — — very precise and careful, and made my wiches so neat looking that it was like a work of art. I asked for some extra here and there and his response was: «You’re the customer, you should get whatever you want». Hell yeah! I like that! I could tell he took pride in his work, he made a nice looking wich look even better than the posterboards, I must say I was impressed. He neatly added the condiments and sauce, and was careful when he cut it in half and packaged it up so it wouldn’t be too messy for me later. So next time you’re here ask Mike to make your Wich. He kinda reminds me of the musician«Moby», but with a beard and baseball hat. Taking pride in one’s work and delivering high quality service(especially at a chain) isn’t as common nowadays as it used to be, but not with Moby Mike — — he’s an artist in his own world.

This place can have slow service sometimes, but they have an awesome thanksgiving turkey sandwich that tastes like your entire thanksgiving meal! It is amazing and I would highly recommend it! An entire thanksgiving meal, whenever you want, and for the price of the sandwich. Pretty awesome if you ask me. I like how you come in, use a permanent maker to mark what you want on your particular sandwich. You choose what kind of sandwich first by picking the right right brown bag with the name of the sandwich you want. Mark all the yummy things you want, bring it to the register, pay, wait, get your drink from the fountain machine, then pick up your order. Some cons: you really smell bad when you come out of this place, it’s always cold in here, their meat is really salty whether it’s the turkey, chicken, ham or roast beef. Very satisfying and filling sandwich. Would recommend to someone who hasn’t tired it.

I’ve been thinking about checking this place out for quite awhile now. It seems like every time we had an opportunity to eat«anywhere» it just didn’t sound appealing enough to win out. The night came when FINALLY it was time! I was pleasantly surprised. I like being able to think about what I want without a clerk waiting on me… I liked drawing on the bag… I liked the choices. I chose a meatball sub… the meatloaf almost got me(maybe next time). Adding garlic made my sandwich superb…(and all the other extras I threw on too). Loved it. I’ll surely go back again.

Four stars for Which Wich? What what? Yes, I give it four *conditional* stars. I’m not a fan of their meat-wiches — their veggie-wiches are where it’s at. The hummus one is quite good, but what really brings me back is their tomato and avocado sandwich. Yum! Their avocado quality has been excellent(I’ve been eating here almost once a week for the past couple months — it’s been consistent!). I pile on the veggies and have one big delicious sandwich. Drawbacks — it can get crazy busy at lunch time and this is not the fastest sandwich line on the Drag. Also, while they have never messed up any of my requested toppings, sometimes I wish I had the option to ask for more of particular toppings(like you could at a sandwich place that makes your sandwich under your watch). If you’re an avocado fan, I highly recommend it here!
