Ordered a hot steak & cheese with double meat. The sandwich was cold, meat was incredibly low quality, cheese was low quality and unmelted. They charged me $ 12 but I had thrown the sandwich in the bin after the initial bite. Despite the manager knowing this he charged me full price, not even a discount for an inedible sandwich. Place is rubbish and absolutely no comparison to Jersey Mike’s.

This is strictly a review about the online and in-store experience and not the food. I’ve been to my local restaurant a bunch of times, typically because we get the regular coupons in the mail and enjoy the buy-one 7″ get one free with drink and a bag of chips. After a long trip we decided to do an online order. We had a coupon and were looking to enjoy the same deal we usually get. I wrote in the«Special Instructions» that we would be using our coupon. All was good… or so I thought. I get to the store to pick up the ‘wiches, and when I hand them the coupon, the woman says she’ll have to check with her manager. Soon after her manager comes out and says they can’t honor the coupon because the online ordering system is different than the store system. When I tell him the only reason I come here is to use the coupon and that they advertise heavily that you can order online(it’s on the front of the store and several table tents), he tells me I should have come in and ordered or called instead. Instead of coming up with a way to rectify the problem, as good customer service practitioners often will, he tells me what I did wrong. They hand me the sandwiches as if to say too bad sir and ask me if I want a bag. I say, «No, but I would like the chips and drink that I purchased that were supposed to be the combo that came with the coupon,» to which the manager points me to the chips over by the register. At this point I get my chips, drink and leave the store extremely frustrated. This is an epic fail between the online system and customer service at the restaurant for several reasons: On the website front, 1) There was nothing on the site indicating that I could not use a coupon 2) They have you enter your email and phone number on the site, supposedly to contact you if there are any questions. The only correspondence I got was an email receipt for the full price 3) The special instructions in the online form did not matter, so adding anything to the online order in my case was useless. In store, 1) They weren’t attentive to my instructions on the order. They didn’t call or email to clarify. 2) They acted as if I was the problem and not their system/processing of the order 3) They actually kept my(still valid) coupon! I won’t be going back for a while, if at all based on this experience. @whichwich can and should do a lot better.

Great ‘sammich’ shop-really tasty options and good prices. There’s a good variety of options to make perfect, fresh food.

Solid 3.5 sandwich shop that is rounded up because the people who work here are cool. And I bumped into a gal I dated years ago who is hot and that has to be worth an extra .5-star They have standard sandwiches wich(ha) are hot or cold. They also have bowls and lettuce wraps. Choose a numbered bag that has the type of meat/vegetarian/breakfast you want. Then check off what you want on it. Everything is listed on the bag. Don’t forget to put your name on the bottom.

Good bye, boring subs with tasteless meats and long lines behind people trying to decide what they want while they keep the only sandwich maker wait. Hello tons of great choices and efficient ordering system! Lots of different meats. and fun variations. Their specials are fun. and usually delicious(I suspect their specials are created based upon popular employee experiments after hours.) I was a fan of the Wicked. until Elvis entered my life. You have to try the Elvis Wich… unless you are allergic to peanuts or sinful gluttony. You’ve probably heard of Elvis’s favorite sandwich. and apparently, so did Which Wich. but they absolutely perfected it. Peanut butter. honey… banana… and bacon, on a toasted(my preference) white bread. I actually add extra bacon, well, because bacon. It’s good enough, I bet, to entice Elvis back into the building. Heck, it keeps me coming back. Great choice for when you want a sandwich– but better.

These guys know what I like: egg salad bowl with everything! Like another reviewer, I have never had a bad sandwich(or salad) here, and Daniel is my go-to. Ordering ahead using the Which Wich app is the easiest way to go, unless you have time to kill.

The ordering concept is really good, an innovative one whereby you just tick the toppings, sauces, the types of cheese the you want with your sandwich. Wide range of options to choose from. Really good atmosphere. A place to go more often. I had the caprese(tomato, cheese and pesto) and man it was good!!!

Excellent. Yeah that’s the word for it… Reasons. Well they are many. 1) I like their concept of how you order. No hassle in deciding your stuff. 2) The staff is so good(at least the research blvd one) 3) # of options which you can choose from. 4) awesome place for kids who likes to draw on the back of an envelope that we order on. How cool is that… And now my personal favorite. I am a vegetarian. And the # of options I get there. I like it. Thank you guys…

I have never had a bad sandwich here. I love them. Every month they have a new special sandwich to try out too. My favorite sandwich is their«wicked» which has just about every meat they serve and 3(count ‘em 3) cheeses. I also add a bunch of oils and spices and lettuce and spinach to make it even better. This sandwich is love. Recently been trying crispy strings on my sandwich orders, which is turning out pretty positively. The only complaint I have is that which wich does not toss their salads. You can order any sandwich as a «bowl» like a salad, or replace the bread with lettuce as a wrap. The bowls, however, are not mixed very well which makes getting a good bite difficult. On a hot day, order their shakes. #WorthIt Overall, great place — if you visit frequently make sure to ask about their loyalty program. They don’t advertise it well(I came in multiple times a week for a couple of months, and at least once a month over several years — a well known regular — before they told me about it) but it is one of the better programs out there.

Just awesome. Pick a basic sandwhich and add whatever you want. So freakin tasty. Tried the featured sandwich Bahn Mi tonight and bam. Asian flavor on French style bread.

I’m still trying to figure out how I walked into this place and spent 30 dollars on two sandwich combos. Seems a little pricy, wouldn’t you say? Seriously, though… these are sandwiches. Not bad sandwiches by any means, but is any single sandwich combo worth 12 – 15 bucks a piece? Go to Thundercloud Subs, get the same size sandwich combo, and walk out paying 2⁄3 as much. And support a local business along the way.

Holy smokes, this place is great! I wish I had one in my state. Creative setup to keep customers flowing, And subs that get your taste buds going. I order the signature sandwich called«The Wicked», which came with 5 types of meat. Count ‘em…Five! These included turkey, ham, roast beef, pepperoni, and bacon. It also came with three cheeses that you could choose from a long list of options. Count ‘em…Three! I got cheddar, cheese wiz, and bleu cheese crumbles. You have the option to select either a hot or a cold sub. Of course I made it sizzle! The hot sandwich made me want to sing that song by Nelly. Yeah, you know the song, and now it’s stuck in your head. I then topped my sandwich with some of my favorites, included crispy onion strings, black olives, banana peppers, garlic, and balsamic vinagrette. Killer Kombo! This masterpiece of edible proportions ended up costing about $ 5 for a 7-inch sandwich. A certain sandwich chain relating to an underground train in New York City better watch out! Which Wich gives one more inch and a wider selection of toppings. I also like how you just check off whatever you want on a bag, and then your sandwich is served in that bag. Very innovative setup.

I like ‘em! They are different and they are tasty. I always get their Thank You turkey sandwich. Turkey, cranberries, and stuffing? Yes please! Even the small skinny sandwich is huge! Their house chips with pepper on them are so good, too.

OK, I’m not gonna bitch about sandwich size this time. In fact, the several times I’ve been to Which Wich has always been a great experience. I was all set to write a glowing review, when there was a bug on the windshield – nobody’s fault, and I can’t rightly ding Which Wich for this one. This is a 4 ½ star review, but I’ll put it up as a 5-er. here’s what went down: As some of you know, I had a little hospital visit this past week. I’m OK(for now) but anyway, after 30 hours on starvation and hospital food, when I was released, my good friend Martha took me to get a Which Wich. I ordered a turkey and swiss with a bunch of toppings I forget now. It was AWESOME, and – again – I’m not bitching about the size. It was a decent size, and very tasty! No complaints! Before I could sit down to write my review,(I’m a little slower this week), I thought I’d go grab another Which Wich. I ordered their Turkey Thanks – the one with the stuffing and cranberry – and put«Mark» on the bottom of the bag. That’s my mistake. As I waited, another Mark right in front of me picked up a turkey sandwich, and walked off. before I could flag him, the next«Mark, Turkey!» was called. I glanced, and it looked like my handwriting. So I rushed home. When I opened the sandwich at Casa Shoehead, I saw all kinds of weird shit on it. Then I noticed all the little checkmarks on the bag, indicating said weird shit. The handwriting was so close to mine, and I still had to double check. I then realized what had happened, giving a huge ring of truth to «Which wich?» The other Mark’s sandwich was good, but it wasn’t the delightful concoction that I had scribbled with a Sharpie on my bag. *sigh* nobody’s fault, and now I’m reinstating my policy of using«Shoehead» whenever ordering at any counter. BUT, all-in-all, Which Wich is still one of my favorites, and within the Golden Radius(1 mile from Casa Shoehead) and THAT my friends, is better than A-OK…

We’ve always gotten fast service at this location. The cashier is VERY friendly, I love her cheery attitude! I’ve never had any problems with my order, food always taste fresh. :) I love this chain because i can custom make my sandwich, from the bread to the toppings. It works great for the picky people in my family.(If you become a member of their club you get a free sandwich!)

Update: I was a huge fan of this place for a long time for it’s consistency but the last few trips have either been wanting, had wrong ingredients, or just didn’t taste right. Going to start searching elsewhere for a good sandwich. Pro: * Good service, atmosphere, and still better than Subway Cons: * Wheat bread doesn’t seem like wheat bread. Looks like normal bread. Throw some grains in there. * Lack of change food. While there are specials, they run never really grab me. Philly cheese steak, Bahn Mi, nothing’s really worked yet.

I love Which Wich. I first went to one in Nashville and I didn’t realize they were so prolific. I’m glad that they are just down the road from me now. Which Wich is great for everyone because you can get whatever you want, however you want it. First, you choose which type of sandwich you want. They have the Wicked, Beef, Pork, Turkey, Comfort, Breakfast, Seafood and more. Based on what type of sandwich you want you choose a bag, then take a red Sharpie and choose what you exactly want on the sandwich. The sandwiches come in all kinds of varieties. The Wicked has 5 kinds of meat on it. You can get all kinds of sandwiches from turkey and roast beef, to egg salad or seafood salad, or even spam and meatloaf. There are easily 40 different basic sandwiches that you can choose from. Next, you choose the cheese. You can choose between cheddar, swiss, provolone, mozzarella, pepper jack and even cheez-wiz. Then you choose the type of mayo(4 different kinds), mustard(multiple types) and the condiments which range from the ordinary(ketchup) to the unique(salsa, pesto or A1). Next, you choose onions and what type then the toppings which range from lettuce and tomato to hot pepper mix and olive salad. Finally, you can even choose the oil, vinegar, herbs and spices you’d like on the sandwich. All this is filled out on a paper bag! You take the bag to the cashier and he/she attaches it to a zip line and slides it over to a sandwich assembly line. Because of the customization, the only problem is that it can take a little while for the sandwich to be made. However, it is grilled to perfection and delicious when it’s done. In addition to the sandwiches, Which Wich has home made, fresh baked, while-you-wait cookies. They are divine. You can also get chips, soda and a shake if you want. I liked that both Diet Dr. Pepper and Mellow Yellow were an option at the soda machine. The service was really friendly. Like I said before, it was pretty slow, but it was in the weird time between lunch and dinner when I went. Luckily, they put up newspapers along the wall every day for you to read. It helps to pass the time for sure. If you’re hungry for a sandwich and you want something unique and creative, make sure you head to Which Wich.

After having pulled basically an all-nighter at work Saturday with no food or drink, I left around 11:30 exhausted and famished. I wanted to reward myself with a nice lunch. I thought it was my opportunity to finally try Franklin BBQ, but at 11:30 there was already a mob at the trailer(I’ll never get to try them!). I remembered then that Jack and my new Unilocal friend Joel liked Which Wich, and I trust their opinion. My only concern was if my fogged brain could deal with building a sandwich. I was very pleased to find how simple it was! Like Sandwich Building for Dummies. They have the menu(and the options on your bag) laid out according to meats(turkey, pork, chicken, etc), cheeses, condiments, and veggies. You just go through and check off what you want. I got the Grinder, which was all those tasty salty Italian meats like salami, with pesto, cukes, peppers, and lettuce. With chips and a drink, it was $ 8.50. I decided to eat my chips on the way home, and you know you’re starving when a Baked Lays is the best thing you’ve ever put in your mouth. I even stopped at a Yellow Light(!) to have more time to get the crumbs outta the bottom of the bag. But that small bag of 13 chips did nothing to sate me. I got home and enjoyed my sammie out in the sunshine on my back deck. I have to say, I was pretty proud of myself! It was delicious! It was toasted and crunchy on the outside and melty inside. The veggies were fresh, with the bell peppers giving a nice gardeny crunch(sorry Colin, I just ruined it for you). The only thing lacking was an offsetting sweet flavor. My sammie was loaded with tangy, spicy peppers and it woulda been nice to maybe have some roasted red peppers to get the full spectrum of flavor. I don’t recall anything kinda sweet like that on the menu(cept nasty tomatos). Also, I’m leaving the lettuce off next time. A few slivers of iceburg is just taking up pepper space. *** I was gonna end my review right there, which woulda earned them 4 stars, but as fate and bad karma would have it, I found myself being called back into work again Sun afternoon and I stopped in again to try a different sandwich to go. This time I had turkey with bacon, avocado, provolone, spicy mayo, carmelized onions, and bell pepper. This one was a disappointment and I don’t think it was my sandwich building skills but the ingredients. The turkey was your run of the mill, plain thin white turkey, pre-packaged Jenni-O like you find at the grocery store, and other than offering turkey salami or turkey rueben, I wish they would offer better quality of turkey or smoked turkey, something with flavor. Also, don’t bother paying an extra buck for bacon. I’m pretty sure that was Bacon Bits or some such baconoid product. No strips of real bacon here, and the spicy mayo… wasn’t. Just goes to show ya, you should try something a coupla times before judging.

Here on the far reaches of Austin, we’re starting to get more and more of the businesses normally associated with the cool part of town. We’ve got ourselves an Alamo Drafthouse, a Truluck’s, a Little Woodrow’s, and now a Which Wich. I had never ventured into the one on 3rd Street, but my downtown-working friends said they really liked it. Now that I work from my home, sometimes I just need to get out and reduce the cabin fever, so having a decent sandwich place nearby is great. I’ve tried 3 things so far, and each has been just fine. I like the way they have you order — the menu is simple to follow, and they have a lot of unusual choices. The folks who work there are nice, they’re fast, and pricing is reasonable. All in all, a nice new addition to the neighborhood.
