This place is near my house so a group of my friends and I tried it out on a Thursday night. One of my friends parked in a lot designated for Brew & Brew. When she went to get her car, she found out her car was towed. She went to get her car from the tow lot while we told the bartender what happened. The bartender argued with the tow truck company for awhile. Then he pointed across the bar and said«That is the owner of this place right there. He said to contact the property managers tomorrow.» The owner never came to apologize to us, never offered to help us. We were frequenting his establishment and parking in the parking provided for his establishment yet he seemed generally unconcerned that his customers were wrongfully towed. Overall, since the owner is too busy to care about his customers paying $ 200 to get their car back from a towing company for being wrongfully towed while frequenting his bar, we will never be back. All 8 of us.

I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere and the beer selection. The coffee’s decent. But the WiFi is terrible(at least recently) to the point where if I need a connection I don’t even think about heading over there anymore.

This is about 4 blocks from my new house, so I was excited to check it out. This is a craft beer bar(not a brewery) with prices on the high side. Most of their beers are advertised as 20oz. However, the glasses are UK(imperial) pint glasses and these glasses when filled to the top, contain 20UK ounces(19.21US ounces). Brits fill their glasses to the brim, so when receiving a US pour(with a bit of foam), customers received about 18US oz(but pay for 20US oz). When I communicated this to the manager, I was expecting him to fill bad, and say something along the lines of «we need to rectify this immediately»(donate 10% of their 20oz beer sales would have been fair). Instead, he laughed at me and asked if I wanted another 2 ounces. Seems this place has been short-changing customers for a while and has no intention to stop. Never seen anything like it in the US. I guess there is always a first.

I really dig this place. It has a cool vibe and fits in well with the location. I had their espresso and while I might not say it was completely well balanced, it was really good and was made with care. I would definitely stop by here again and check out their beer menu too.

If I were to open up my own café, I would want it to be like Brew & Brew. Great coffee. Great beer. Great vibe. The industrial touch is awesome. Can’t say enough great things about this place.

Industrial Hipster Coffee The shop’s in an old industrial space: lots of concrete and old wire mesh windows with decades of old paint. I guess there were a couple dozen tables and a bar traversing most of the shop. If you’re looking for a Starbucks or a sports bar, this isn’t the place. The coffee was good. I had a Cortada and a blueberry muffin. My friend had a cappuccino and a croissant that might have come from La Pâtisserie. I’ve only been here in the morning, so I haven’t tried the beer. It looks like there’s a nice selection though.

I’ve been here over 100 times for a combination of work happy hours, mid-day coffee breaks, and weekend drinking sessions. Everything about this place is worthy of 6(yes 6) stars. — The Staff: Always friendly, knowledgable, and supportive of the local community(recommending local places to eat, talking about local music venues, etc…) — The Patrons: A great vibe at all times. People who come here just exude happiness and if I’m ever having a shitty day I can come here and get a mood lift just from the people around me — The Product: Fantastic coffee products and an unrivaled beer selection among its East 6th neighbors — The Location: So convenient to so much. Pueblo Viejo tacos in the back, East 6th adjacent, Dirty 6th just across the highway. This is a fantastic spot for starting a night out.

Cappuccino Perfection! These guys are legit. They take their coffee seriously, as well as their music. I like the location next to I-35, around the corner from some of my other East Austin favs. The seating leaves a little to be desired, prob not the best spot for working and outlets. However, I would rather have top quality coffee. Keeping it real.

Be patient when trying to look for a parking spot! Keep in mind that there is free, but limited, parking in the lot right across Brew & Brew. Anyway, as always, I first absorb myself in the atmosphere of a coffee shop before I order anything — I walk around the coffee shop, I look for the restrooms, I listen to the music playing, etc. Brew & Brew shares the building with other business where they also share a restroom in this little hallway that is in between businesses — waiting to use the restroom was a pain. Besides that, their selection of music was great and helped contribute to the hipster atmosphere! The staff was nice and I ordered a vanilla latte. Brew & Brew carries Flat Track Coffee as their local roaster where the latte was very smooth and it was sweetened to perfection. This coffee shop easily made it to my list of places to study/work at. They have a a very extensive beer list where I need to go back sometime to order a paired beer and espresso!

Went to this place for the first time this past week and I have to say I was pretty impressed. I would venture to say the only downside is the parking situation but we found parking pretty close by without problem. I’m not a big coffee drinker but I am a beer drinker. They have loads of stuff on their wall that are limited release and stuff that can’t be found in many other places around town. Their prices are exorbitant for pours but they’re also not cheap. We sat outside and people watched as we enjoyed our beer. It wasn’t very packed that night but it was during the first weekend of ACL as well. not sure if that had anything to do with it. Will for sure be coming back here again.

Wright Brothers Brew & Brew is a nice place, and seemed to be an early-adopter of the«brew and brew» concept. They took the Progress Coffee space and added the second brew. The staff is knowledgeable about both brews, and offers good advice. I’ll visit again when I’m in the area.

Ahhh… The ol’ Brew & Brew. My beer:30 hang, my post-workout treat, and my productivity haven. Brew & Brew boasts excellent coffee, and an even better beer selection. Their beer list is arranged on a matrix of light — dark and less hoppy — more hoppy, so you’re always able to find something to suit your mood without any guesswork. The servers are friendly and fun, and have no problem letting you taste their newest brews and keeping you company. This is one of those spots I hope remains the same for years to come.

I only make a quick pit stop this Saturday morning, so I didn’t get to try any of the beer. Having said that, I thought the aeropress I ordered was excellent. Deep, smooth, and rich. I wonder how they keep up with the pace if they’re busy. Aeropress always takes a few minutes, and I can see the line getting stacked up if too many people are in the shop. The food options seem slight, but the helpful bartenders(?, given the beer) pointed me to an excellent taco truck nearby for some breakfast.

This place is hip and happenin’ that’s for sure. I was pretty thrilled to try this place after reading so many great reviews. Unfortunately I was left unimpressed. It doesn’t look like it’s changed much since progress coffee occupied the space, which surprised me since these guys were getting so much hype. What really underwhelmed me was the staff. The barista was unwelcoming and just looked annoyed at everything. It gave the shop an air of pretentiousness and just a really stand-offish vibe. It literally made me want to sit outside. So I ordered a iced coffee from the frigid barista and sat outside. This is not a place I would come to coffee shop camp at. The seating is uncomfortable. I was fine for a half hour and then my bum started going numb. Reminiscent of Medici by campus… The view from the porch is nice. Not particularly picturesque but just a real treat to look out upon. An interesting and living landscape. The coffee itself I really enjoyed and if I return it’ll be to by a cup and leave. I’m not going to lie. There are somethings that Brew & Brew is doing right: the coffee is supreme, the beer/coffee combo is always a hit, the location is cool despite horrendous parking options(but hey that’s Austin for you). But I have to say, if a friend invited me here I would probably suggest another shop. With a coffee scene as crowded as Austin’s, you’ve got to really impress me if you want me to return.

Had to make multiple visits just to soak it all in. The coffee and beer in one stop is brilliant and a new concept for me being from Chicago. A cool vibe overall and executed well. We tasted a variety: latte, iced coffee, and beers over the two visits. The coffee drinks were rich and the list of beers on the wall is extensive. I guzzled a pale ale and a Belgian pale before moving to the caffeine. No sticker shock as the prices seems standard by my account. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly with the willingness to shoot the breeze about beers. By far the best coffee bar is visited in Austin. The coffee + beer combo is a no brainier — cop a beer buzz and an iced coffee on the way out equals is a recipe for happiness.

You can get craft coffee AND craft beer in this venue! Seriously, they have just this phenomenal selection of beer. Most of it is either local but even their«imports» are largely smaller brews. It is a pretty chill place to hang out and work, hangout with some friends, listen to music, etc. I have gone in for coffee, I have gone in for beer, I have always left happy.

I came here with my coworker to get some work done on a Friday. This place was great, parking is a hassle but it’s free during the day so whatever. It was large, clean, had plenty of outlets and power strips. They serve great coffee and great beer. The music was on point as well. I had a beer when I came in and chose a good seat. There are some friendly people that visit this place, I had some cool conversations with strangers, this place is awesome. They have three bathrooms, one in the building and two in the hallway that connects all the businesses. My bathroom had a shower in it which was interesting, not too clean, and not too nice. A basic bathroom — 7⁄10 would pee in again. Seriously though this place is cool, come check it out and experience Austin.

We wanted to try this coffee shop because it’s close to our house. I was impressed by the selection of coffee, tea and beer. My boyfriend got a cappuccino, which was delicious. I had an aeropress, which I also enjoyed. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I did think everything was a little over-priced. My small cup of coffee was almost $ 5 without any added ingredients. Overall, I like this spot and would try it again. I will come a little less often though because of the price.

LOVE this coffee spot. Great design, amazing staff, solid tunes, delicious iced coffee, reliable air con. Erm…THISISBASICALLYALLYOUNEEDFOR A BOMBCOFFEEEXPERIENCEINAUSTIN, y’all. Unilocal note: I strongly recommend the coffees without any sugar syrup. Yes, the vanilla syrup is delicious, but I think it messes with the coffee taste itself, and they pour it extra-sweet.

I stopped by recently to try a cup of their aeropress coffee after recently hearing about them and enjoyed it. The aeropress coffees are in the roughly $ 3-$ 5 range for a smallish cup, so it’s not cheap. I asked for the darkest, richest roast they had, but was told all their coffee is light roast, which I found pretty strange for a coffee shop to not have something so seemingly common. Service was good, and there are a fair number of tables inside and a long very narrow bar seating area on the front patio which looks out over 5th street and the dusty parking lot. They have a very good craft beer selection with a lot of rotating beers and sometimes some rare releases as well. Overall its a nice spot but something about the feel of the place just didn’t really win me over. As a bonus, at least there is free parking in the lot across from the shop. Just let the parking attendant know that you’re going to Wright Bros.
