Great Place! Wonderful service! Great menu. I ordered the basic Angus burger and it was delicious. Crispy fries! Kaitlyn our waitress was amazing. Chit chatted a bit and came by often to check on us.

I loved the food here, the seafood was super fresh and the dish with pasta and shrimp was to die for! Tasty pasta I’ve ever eaten, besides that. The service was on point, I literally had no complaints! Had the best time here!

Staff is polite and attentivw. Eating here is like a splurge but if you’re here on vacation then I’m pretty sure you deserve it! Make sure to have dinner here before you go back to the mainland. Order your gourmet finner, take a picture of your food, a selfie with the ocean as your background and share it on social media while you listen to the waves crash in the background and make all your friends jealous.

Came here for drinks with my husband as we had seen it in previous trips to Catalina but never got the chance to stop by. The view is absolutely stunning. We didn’t try any of the food but will definitely be stopping by here the next time we’re on the island as it tops a lot of the other restaurants.

First place we chose to eat lunch. Very clean, friendly atmosphere, ocean view. Prices are over $ 15 a plate. I ordered blackened swordfish. Was slightly over cooked. But still good. I really like the crab & artichoke dip.awesome. Also try the cucumber mojito.

Ate here twice on a recent trip to Catalina. The first meal was lunch, calamari, clam chowder and the seared scallops with roasted jalapeño aioli. The calamari was hard and rubbery which sadly is what you usually get when ordering fried calamari at any restaurant. But I still order from time to time hoping to be surprised, unfortunately Bluewater did not impress. They did leave me licking the plate with the seared scallops. Beautiful sear on one side and not over cooked, the scallops cut like butter as they should. The tomato oil and jalapeño aioli with the crumbled bacon really rounded out the dish nicely. I even mopped up the plate with the bread. Clam chowder was on the lower end of the scale for me as chowders go. I’ve had much better, but then again I’ve had much worse. On the clam chowder scale I’d give it a 4 or 5. I went again for lunch another day and had the grilled mahi mahi sandwich. I ordered it because it had much of the same sauce as the scallops I mentioned above. The brioche bun was like air, never had one light and fluffy like this one. The mahi was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the sandwich very much. One last note everyone in our group fell in love with their Avalon Ice Teas, their version of the Long Island Ice Tea, but much more lemonade like than ice tea. I’m def a fan of Bluewater and will come here for dinner next time I’m on the island. One additional item worth mentioning because I saw it in several other reviews — the wait time for our food on our second visit was ridiculously long, almost an hour. At one point our waiter stopped and told us our food would be out in just a minute; another 20 minutes we finally received our food. Happily everything was hot and not just been sitting waiting to be delivered.

I believe this is the nicest restaurant on the island. The views are breath taking, the patio is where it all happens. Had the petite surf and turf, my steak was cooked perfectly and the scallop potatoes were to die for. The staff here could not have been more welcoming, we received excellent service. Our server was very knowledgable and made excellent recommendations. Looking forward to their Happy Hour tonight.

Only one steak dinner on the menu. I ordered it and it was cooked to my perfection«Medium». The cook did it right the first time! They have excellent food and they serve my favorite Vodka«Blue Ice». Keep up the good work and excellent Dishes.

Excellent wine selection, had the Swanson 2012 chardonnay which was rich and flavorful with a light aftertaste; for lunch ordered the parpadelle which was reduced in a decadent white wine sauce… the clam chowder was quite creamy and delicious as well

My wife and I both had the Surf n Turf — lobster and steak, with potatoes and asparagus. We also had calamari. I’m not a big seafood person, but the lobster tail was a big sized portion. The steak wasn’t that great, but that could be because of the sauce or that we had it well done. It was decent, but for $ 100(not including tip) it wasn’t anything extravagant. I wish I could say this was the best place ever. It was pretty good though. The view is probably really nice during the day or at sunset. It was dark outside while we were there so we couldn’t see much. The people were nice. They have some cool pictures on the walls.

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. Best food and service on the island. We came for lunch and were immediately greeted at the door. We chose to sit outside and our hostess was so kind to think of our comfort. I first opted to sit around the corner since no one else was there and she warned me that it was very cold, so we moved to the other side and sat right in the sun. Our server was so kind and efficient. I feel horrible I don’t recall her name! Warm sourdough bread is given with lots of butter. Yum! We each ordered clam chowder and shared a plate of calamari. The clam chowder was phenomenal.(so much so, I considered ordering a bowl to-go so we can be fatties and eat it by the beach). The food, the view and service was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant while you’re here on the island.

I came to Catalina for my birthday and we stumbled upon this place. We asked for vegan options since my wife well you know… The server was very accommodating and knew exactly what to recommend for my wife. I had the fish tacos., one fried cod and the other was blackened ahi, this last one was delicious would definitely recommend it if you come here, the other one was a bit blend for my taste but good nonetheless. I’ll stop by again next time I’m in the island.

Service was fast and friendly, Fish and Chips were just OK at best. Heavily breaded and kind of soft. Fries were very«Restauranty». Chowder was the saving grace as it was cery good. The final bill was right up there and left me wondering«Why?». Nice sitting outside but be sure to watch for the aggressive Seagulls.

I’d read a bunch of great Unilocal reviews when I went, so I had high expectations. However, those expectations started failing me started from right when I stepped in and the hostesses just stared at us awkwardly, rather than welcoming us or saying, «Table for two?» We actually had to initiate the fact that we wanted a table! Our waitress was friendly enough, but whenever she checked up on us, you could tell she didn’t care. We’d barely opened our mouths to say«It’s good,» when she was already turned to go somewhere else. She also didn’t explain the menu at all, or make any recommendations. Even when I asked for recommendations, she pretty much said, «It’s all good.» So the service is over-hyped, we concluded. But about the food… The crab & artichoke dip was definitely the highlight. It was VERY good! The dip was just so cheesy and full of great textures. The Bluewater Burger was also good. Hard to eat, but sometimes those are the best kind of burgers. The fries were really nice, too. The Fisherman’s Platter was good… if you like that sort of fried and greasy stuff. However, the beer-battered fish just didn’t have any flavor… but my husband told me that fish & chips type of fish usually don’t have any flavor — it’s just all about the fried batter. We did both agree, though, that the whole dish was lacking in salt. Luckily there’s salt available on the table, so that fixed it up good enough. Again, the fries were good and were the highlight for me, as the rest was just too fried for my liking.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Everything was absolutely delicious. Katelyn was a fabulous server, and we couldn’t have asked for a better lunch! We had the baked crab and artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was SO good. We even dipped the sourdough bread they leave at the table in it, and it was even better. The fisherman’s platter is the way to go, so yummy!!!

For appetizer, we got these clams and mussels dish and it tasted realll good. The flavoring in the dish of white wine and seasoning blew my mind away where I wanted to drink the whole damn thing. As for my meal, I got the crab meat and artichoke app and it was good, but I got bored of eating it by myself. I also got the clam chowder which was really delicious. My friends and I got to sit outside with the heaters turned on when the temperature outside was 60 degrees. It was a great view and it was kind of comical to watch seagulls coming near the restaurant trying to yank food off the table. Ps– they don’t serve ice/tap water for free, so if you want water, they will have to charge you $ 0.50 for a bottle of Crystal Geyser which isn’t bad at all, the reason for that is because they’re in a drought and that’s how they roll.

My boyfriend order the prawns pasta and he loved it. Super huge shrimp! The view though… AMAZING! try to come at lunch or an early dinner to view the wonderful Catalina ocean. We also order some drinks and they were pretty strong thanks bartender! I also order an mud pie dessert for my boyfriend birthday and they brought it out with an candle. Get this dessert! It was so yummy… Coffee ice cream with an Oreo crust! What?! Hahaha.

Stopped in for lunch to this little seafood joint in Catalina whilst porting on a cruise. I got the crab BLT sandwich and my man got the fisherman platter(fried goodies and fries etc). The sandwich was amazing. I got a margarita to compliment it and he got a Mai tai. Both super happy with the food and cocktails. The setting is really what makes this place special. Right on the water in Catalina and it’s just beautiful. Little pricey but it’s a great spot for a special trip! Give it a try if you’re ever in Catalina!

Sometimes you have to make up for a bad dish you had somewhere else. We had scrawny grilled artichokes elsewhere, and looking forward to Bluewater Grill to save us… And they did. Awesome grilled artichokes, great flavor and meaty. For my entrée, I had the San Francisco Style Cioppino. It was a big meal. Delicious though. By the end of the evening, I had to decide what I would leave behind. The cod(it was a white fish) was left behind, since it was probably the one ingredient that really didn’t get infused with the flavor of the broth.

With the help of my Unilocal app, found this restaurant in Catalina. There was already a line outside the door before their opening at 11:00 am. Once open they seated us all in a timely manner. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We started out with their complimentary bread — very good, then we enjoyed their crab and artichoke dip — yum, the crab BLT — okay, and their mahi sliders — a bit on the dry side. They don’t serve water because of the drought so they will charge you 50 cents for a bottle of water — not so environmentally friendly. Overall the food was okay, a bit pricey, but look where you are at.
