We grabbed a few sushi rolls, a fig prosciutto flatbread and a panini on the way back to LA. The sushi was the worst sushi I’ve ever tasted and the prosciutto flatbread was disgusting !!! I don’t know how you can screw up a plain panini but that went straight to the garbage. Don’t waste your money!!!

Avalon has a great deal of charm, but only a handful of places to eat with even fewer palatable options. CC Gallagher has yet to disappoint!!! So likely is easy to say if I was only someone that visited the island from time to time but I actually lived there. I absolutely love the salted caramel gelato!!! It’s hard to just talk about their mimosas, carefully crafted plates and the delicious desserts when this is also a fantastic shop! There used to be more goodies to shop but it’s awesome to come in as a group and relax here! I love their Napa sampler, Thai shrimp lettuce skewers(but the salads sounded and looked delish!!! Never an easy decision!) My friend loved the tofu skewers, goat cheese & mushroom & olive oil tapenade ;o) It is always nice to know that there’s a place back in my old home that has yummy food while I’m visiting some of my favorite people!!!

This is a casual yet classy joint with an amazing drink selection! Our hostess has been wonderful in recommending food and drinks. And if your kids like sushi, they will enjoy this place too!

Great ambiance. wonderful location Hope this place gets more variety to its menu Not much to choose from. I like cheese crackers and sushi … Not sure I like it together And I’m really sure I don’t like it at 10 am Looks like a nice hang out at night with many wine and cheese choices All in all nice place but… Breakfast menu needs some more choices Then I think it will be Golden !

We came for desserts and the hubs got a flight of beer. Latte was good too. Service was great! I’d recommend this place it’s been out favorite so far. The waiter found a beer I finally liked, he was very helpful.

SPICYSALMON the salmon was tender but the rice was hard and cold. STRAWBERRYMULE is good, but didn’t feel or taste the alcohol

My experience here was somewhat confusing. The décor was very pretty, a quaint little coffee shop. But when you arrive in the front door, there’s a sign stating«please seat yourself» and menus located on some of the tables. So it did appear that they had waiter service, but after inquiring I was told that I needed to order at the counter. After ordering at the counter, I was given my food but told to sit and they would«find me» for payment. This seemed odd, but I sat down and had my molten chocolate cake and ice tea which were both very delicious. After sitting for a while waiting for the woman, I went back to the counter to pay. I was told by the woman«sorry I couldn’t find you». I think they have a great product here, but there seems to be a lot of confusion with the workflow.

Only one real open year round plant based/vegan friendly eatery on the island; this was it. This place is listed as vegan, however there is only one vegan item on the menu; tofu skewers & veggies. So it’s a somewhat vegan friendly menu, which is great there are several vegetarian options. The service was on point for a restaurant that’s not busy. The skewers were all tofu and very little veggies. So I had to ask for more veggies. Now for $ 16 it’s not really worth it plus it’s snack/appetizer. There are very little to no Vegetarian/Vegan options on the island; this is the only place. So if you’re vegetarian or vegan, and you plan on truly enjoying your visit, play it smart and bring your own food…

Dropped by for a late lunch. We dined on some excellent marinaded olives and herb goat cheese. I ordered the Sonoma sushi which was outstanding and washed it down with a Kirin Mojito. I’ve never had such a drink but it was surprisingly refreshing and satisfying. My mom had a pear flat bread. Amazing. Flatbread came out warm and was a delightful plate! Plus, the seats facing the window are great for people watching(and there are plugs to recharge, major plus!).

Came on my birthday for dinner. Got the trio plate, and vegetarian sushi without the cheese, tofu skewers, and sampled 4 draft beers. Staff was welcoming and friendly and the waiter Omar was very accommodating, friendly, and took of us all night. Though i tried to order a small dark chocolate cake nonchalantly, my friend told Omar it was birthday, and all staff and customers around me sang happy birthday to me. lol Best place to celebrate my birthday and food was amazing!

NEVERAGAIN. If you plan on exploring the island this isn’t the place to go, you will have your time wasted. They also weren’t apologetic about how they never brought our food or checked up on us. I guess when you work in a tourist location you don’t care about returning customers so you treat first timers rudely.

The CCBLT sandwich is incredible. Prosciutto and smoked salmon with lettuce and tomato on baguette. There should be a law! Coupled with an $ 8 glass of wine on tap, this is worth the trip to Avalon by itself! CC’s has redone their interior since New Year’s to emphasize sushi and food/beverage.

Okay so aside from the amazing stout on tap. Which side note the lovely first waiter I got(who appeared to be training) accidentally double poured me on my first try of this stout. Wow; knock me out at the end of a long day. Thank you baby! So I digress, after afore mentioned stout(plus a decadent chocolate cake from the dessert corner, wild ahi tuna nigiri, wild salmon nigiri, herbed goat cheese, and edamame) of course I forgot my sunglasses on the table! I wandered back in the next day and asked a different gentleman if anyone had turned in glasses. He asked enough identifying questions to determine I was in fact said own of the glasses & he returned them. So of course I had another stout Nice owner very informative; sweet staff some more outgoing and enjoyable than others but all agreeable people. Not to mention if you love yourself some soft Brazilian beats or smooth relaxing guitar & drums playing in the background with soft relaxing lighting go in the afternoon. I would say they switch the lighting around 5ish…(I was post stout when this change happens both times so no promises on the precise time)

Ate here my first night on Catalina and was pretty satisfied with everything. I had the BLT panini which had smoked salmon, prosciutto, lettuce, and mayo with a small side salad and tomato aioli. The flavors were good and the portion was good. Some things to note were that the tomato aioli was not so much a creamy aioli sauce as it was a mushed sundried tomato blend and that some pieces of the salmon and proscuitto were stringy and harder to bite into. Otherwise, service was very good and I was happy with my order. My friend got the chicken pesto panini and was also satisfied with that. They offer a selection of sushis and other foods that also looked promising. Finally, my panini was a bit pricey at $ 14 but I would recommend coming here for a meal on the island!

CC Gallagher is incredible. My boyfriend and I visited Avalon for three days, two nights and this was, by far, our favorite restaurant! The staff is super helpful and friendly, the décor is cozy, and the food/drinks were amazing! As a vegetarian, this place has the best and most options in the entire town of Avalon. You should try the Strawberry Sake Mule. So refreshing. The avocado, cucumber, goat cheese sushi was so good, we came back for another helping the next day. My boyfriend tried the turkey & provolone panini, and I tried the Greek salad. The portions are no joke at this place, but the food is fresh and not at all heavy on the stomach. Definitely recommend this place.

The food is average at best, and that is mainly what my 3 star reflects. The look and vibe of the place is cool and welcoming. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. We were tended to by Steve and he is absolutely wonderful and couldn’t have asked for better host and server.

I would give this 5 Stars if they had gluten free crackers as a substitute for flatbread. Wonderful selection of sampler platters, salads, sushi, panini, wine, beer, and saki. Very tasty but I could only eat half of the Napa Sampler. Oh well, it will make a fabulous breakfast. Much better than the hotel’s continental breakfast. Yay!

Super nice server. The food was just okay. My sushi was actually the least appetizing of any sushi I’ve ever had. The presentation was also a bit disappointing. My Catalina roll had barely any salmon which is highlighted on the menu. I was looking forward to that part but, no good. The avocado was sparse and very poorly cut. All together it was very bland. My husband had some type of flatbread. It was nice looking, but just lacking in anything that would justify what we paid. Everything pretty much tasted like the individual ingredients just packed atop one another shy of any seasoning. And we love sushi and flatbread pizzas, btw. It is pretty pricey, which i wouldn’t have minded had the food been good. I live on the mainland so I tried to pick the nicest looking place to dine with my husband on our day out. I felt kinda bad as i was hoping the food was much better.

The service sucked here. I’m pretty sure it was the manager or one of the supervisors who told me to move over in a really rude manner. Also, the baristas(both times) weren’t smiley and looked like they were having a bad day. Their coffee is cheaper than the Catalina Coffee and Cookie Company so that’s a plus. I liked their blended drinks. They also had a case of really delicious looking desserts in a rotating case. I wish I had the will to come back and try those but because the service was not pleasant, I decided not to give them my money.
